Just got mine and love it! This is my first fully automated coffee machine and i must say i regret not getting one years ago. Good review of all the drinks. Thanks

@@gosman949 I think it's just as good. I have to make a drink twice to get as large a drink as I'm used to. I also have caramel syrup to add flavor when I want.
My milk volume is not the volume it says, but espresso seems to be about correct. 6oz of milk with foam is about the same volume as 2oz of espresso. Is yours the same?
Update the thicker the liquid the less gets frothed. So thinner milk may be correct. It's working great so far, and strong enough I don't use extra shot. And I just raised my grind setting/larger. This is a good thing. I recommend so far. I'm thinking of buying an extra carafe, one for milk, one for flavored creamer.

Very helpful video as I will receive my 5400 shortly. I am a little confused with the 2 cup option for lattes, cappuccinos, etc. Does the the system mix and fill two cups simultaneously or does it pause while changing cups, or neither?

Technically you can with any machine. Just add the ice to the cup....the dilution is the problem . So set your espresso to very strong, maybe a double shot with low liquid volume and play around with it

How often does it have to go through the rinse cycle? My parents are complaining about how it has to go through a rinse cycle every single morning and I’m wondering if they’re just not using it correctly. It’s really the only reason I’m hesitant. I want my coffee fast in the morning. I don’t want to have to go through this rinsing cycle everyday.
This machine will rinse the coffee spout every time it is turned on or off. There is no way to turn off this function and every super automatic espresso machine will do the same thing. It is only about a 5-10 second rinse
Quick question for you. I got my Philips 5400 yesterday in the mail and absolutely love it, now that I have experimented with some settings. The cappuccino really has a nice delivery of flavor and presentation. If I wanted to try and make a mochaccino how might I go about that ? I tried a little chocolate syrup at the very bottom of the coffee cup in which the frothed milk hits it first (before the expresso shot) but it doesn't mix well. can I use the carafe and throw some syrup in with the milk so that it gets mixed as it froths ? Outside of that it worked really well and I've got an assortment of different expresso beans showing up today !!
Don't use the carafe...will be a pain to clean. Instead rim the cup with syrup as if you spilled.paont down the sides of the cup. Then throw in some.hot cocoa powder and mix as the drink comes out
@@ecscoffeeinc thank you for replying. This is correct, I tried to use it but it did not work the coffee drink was so much light and I founded a little coffee powder split out inside the machine, maybe you could share with us a video demo stating how to use the machine for decaf coffee.

Hi. Thanks for the review. I am a latte girl and not very experienced in coffee. I want a better latte than from the big name coffee shops. I'm trying to decide if I should wait on the 4300/5400 or go ahead and purchase the 3200. The 5400 is the only one that has the cafe latte. The 3200 and 4300 only have the latte macchiato. Is there much difference in taste? I've read that they're slightly different in how they're made. I appreciate any information you can give. I'm getting impatient waiting on the new model, but maybe I don't need it if the latte macchiato is great. Thanks!
The 5400 is a bit better....but delayed for a few more months. We just got in the 4300. Honestly before you buy, if possible, and after our lockdown, come down to our stores and try them out. It sounds like you are looking for a specific drink and I would rather you saw and tried them rather than just buy online.
We have a 4300 comparison also but do not actually use the panarello. Once we get the machines (those were loaners from the manufacturer) we will have a look
Can someone kindly please explain the middle and third setting please? Starting off with the middle one, is this setting for what size cup im using? Or the amount of water? .. and third setting, is this the amount of foam? Or milk?
I've noticed the machine did not prompt to empty the drip tray, it was completely full but no prompts to empty it out.. is there something wrong with my machine?
hmmm.. Very different machines, the barista pro has the ability to make better espresso BUT it takes more work to get there, the philips will produce a nice espresso at the press of a button
So... The issue with this is that espresso machines need to rinse when they turn on, so if you put your mug there then the water will rinse into your mug, and pour the beverage over top.
I do not know what to buy, something like this (automatic) or a Gaggia Classic PRO 2019. I think i can get better results with Gaggia, but an automatic espresso machine is easier and faster. Right now i am using some cheap manual (or they are called semi automatic...like Gaggia classic ) De Longhi.
hi i am thinking of getting one but whats descaling the machine mean does it mean the machine wont last and will break down at some point ???? and can i make a normal coffee and milk together on this machine ??
Every machine requires descaling to clean the internal tanks and heating areas. It is a pretty simple process. Normal coffee is a relative term. If you were in Europe, then yes. It does not make a drip style coffee like you would get at a local McCafe, Tim Hortons or Dunkin Donuts.
@@ecscoffeeinc ok when i said normal i mean like can the machine do just coffee like you do with instant and add milk with it from the machine or do you have to add the milk manually after its brewed i hope that cleared it up
If you go up in water volume (more coffee) will the machine also grind more beans to keep grams to ml ratio the same? Or wil it just pump more water through the same amount of beans?
@@ecscoffeeinc Okay. So thats way it tastes like dog water. But on my machine i cant set grams to ml ratio. Its just strength and amount of coffee. Also when i choose 120ml milk it gives me like 60ml. I got the 4300. I bought it to save time. I usually brew with the V60 and grind with the Comandante C40 so i am very disappointed that this 600euro machine cant make a decent cup of coffee. It just cant measure against the slow brew. Really thinking about returning it. Anyway thanks for the reply without an answer 😜
I also have the 4300 LatteToGo. It does not grind more or less beans. I believe the amount of beans grinded is exactly the same for all drinks. But using different amounts of water would make the drink stronger or weaker.

Makes great coffee, description is accurate!
Can you control the temperature on all the drinks?
@Jonny Laguna thank you for responding!
Then throw in some.hot cocoa powder and mix as the drink comes out
Is the coffee hot enough?
Hi. I am very confused between this and the Oracle touch. Which makes better coffee?
Tough to say. Oracle gives you much more control to make a better coffee. More work involved but overall can get you more dynamic choices
The sound drops out at 13:00 but comes back at 14:48? Thanks for the review!
Unfortunately due to a copyright issue, RUclips muted a portion of the video.
Neil, the milk it's dispensing doesn't look as frothy as milk you'd froth yourself. Is that the case?
Typically manual frothing can enable you better control so yes...it will not be as good.
Is there a really big taste difference compared to capsule machines like nespresso?
Definitely! A freshly ground espresso can't be beat. The crema will be richer and flavours fuller!
Thank you , gray but I wonder how about decade coffee, how could you make it? And mocha doesn’t it require cocoa?
Assuming you mean decaf, there is a bypass on the machine for ground coffee.
@@ecscoffeeinc thank you for replying. This is correct, I tried to use it but it did not work the coffee drink was so much light and I founded a little coffee powder split out inside the machine, maybe you could share with us a video demo stating how to use the machine for decaf coffee.
Machine works great, yes it has some flaws but when you get past those, it's perfect 👌 make sure you get yourself some heavy duty o rings you will need them after a few months, also fix the power button issue in some units. I could have created a better unit with these minor flaws 😂
Whats exactly do you mean by heavy duty rings? Can you provide a link to it? thanks
@@kevincastro9503 Apparently there's a pair of rubber ringer seals inside and when they wear out, the beverage yield drops substantially. Changing those seals aplarenty fixes this issue.
I've just bought this and love it already. However I use "normal" coffee beans, am I supposed to use espresso coffee beans for the ultimate experience?
Espresso coffe is just roasted a bit different. In general oily coffe are not good for espresso.
Can i make all these coffee with coffee beans only? No need for capsules?
This coffee machine does not take capsules! It uses whole beans with an on board grinder and also a milk carafe with fresh, chilled milk.
Great video! I am wondering what the grind is set on when it come out of the box. Is it the finest grind or?
Usually in the middle
Disappointed the cup holder isn’t heated. We had switched from a SAECO professional version and made an assumption based on it’s aesthetics here. :-(
Seimens Home Connect TQ703GB7 - £1.119
Delonghi Prinadonna Class - £919
Which one do you thinks better? it seems the Delonghi can do more drinks. the delonghi has a smaller milk container of 500ml where as seimens has 700ml. Delonghi uses Bluetooth and Seimens uses Wifi, do you think theres a better or doesnt it really matter with coffee machines? im still thinking the Delonghi is the one for me.
We do not sell the Seimens...not available in Canada.
@@ecscoffeeinc ok thanksz
I watched both the videos on 4300 and 5400. Fom your comments and what I could hear these machines are fairly noisy. Is there any other machines of this type that are not as noisy?
All machines with a grinder are noisy, I find the Juras to be the quietest. See this video though ruclips.net/video/JioCqLl9IWQ/видео.html
You didn't do the flat white what order does this machine do espresso/milk and is it a double shot?
order depends on the drink. And you can choose a double shot as an option. As for the flat white, you are correct. However we did this video. ruclips.net/video/kt0o5kqYX40/видео.html
@@ecscoffeeinc Thanks handy to know so certain drinks are pre programmed order with option to single and double shot then?
@@Muzzsjm programmed single but extra shot button creates a second
What are the box dimensions?? Thanks!
It sounds like you are looking for a specific drink and I would rather you saw and tried them rather than just buy online.
is it possible to use the latte go cup to pour cream into a latte cup manually to create desiens?
It would be a challenge. We have not tried. I would think the results would be tough to get as the microfoam is not great.
Could you guys please make a video review about the one with the panarello? Thanks!
We have a 4300 comparison also but do not actually use the panarello. Once we get the machines (those were loaners from the manufacturer) we will have a look
@@ecscoffeeincThanks! You guys should ship to US...I'd be your costumer.
Does this thing auto flush everything when you turn it off? I saw another machine that does that! seemed cool/useful
All Superautomatic espresso machines do that
Yep. They all do
Can someone kindly please explain the middle and third setting please? Starting off with the middle one, is this setting for what size cup im using? Or the amount of water? .. and third setting, is this the amount of foam? Or milk?
The second setting is the amount of water going through the espresso the third is the amount of milk :)
I've noticed the machine did not prompt to empty the drip tray, it was completely full but no prompts to empty it out.. is there something wrong with my machine?
It may have just not been full enough to trigger the notification!
how often do you need to apply the lube to the machine?
monthly is good. Some people never do it though. More important is cleaning it weekly.
I’ve breville barista pro
Which one does a better espresso?
hmmm.. Very different machines, the barista pro has the ability to make better espresso BUT it takes more work to get there, the philips will produce a nice espresso at the press of a button
How would you rate the Philips 5400 compared to the Gaggia Cadorna Barista Plus?
Have not compared the two at this time.
How do I do ground coffee in bypass pod. There’s no button on 4300 latte to go
Hi Leah!
Click your strength selection all the way to the bottom, it will turn into a scoop :)
Happy brewing :)
I have heard that there are many people having leaks from the machine after a few months, have you had issues?
No leaks at all that we have heard of.
Do you have any machines that are smart home compatible because I world like to tell it what I want so that it’s made before I get to it
So... The issue with this is that espresso machines need to rinse when they turn on, so if you put your mug there then the water will rinse into your mug, and pour the beverage over top.
what about flat white??
Yep realized after we missed it. You can find it in the video link here. ruclips.net/video/kt0o5kqYX40/видео.html
La acabo de comprar. Gracias por vuestro video! Ayuda mucho
What is the extra well on the top center near where the coffee beans go???
Bypass for ground coffee
I do not know what to buy, something like this (automatic) or a Gaggia Classic PRO 2019. I think i can get better results with Gaggia, but an automatic espresso machine is easier and faster. Right now i am using some cheap manual (or they are called semi automatic...like Gaggia classic ) De Longhi.
This machine is the only Philips machine that does the Flat White. I wish you had shown that.
What about making these drinks cold? That’s what I like most. Iced coffee!
To make an iced coffee on the 5400 we would recommend making an iced americano! Pour espresso over a glass of ice and top with cold water :)
When u hit the 2cup,is that a double or 2 drinks?
It grinds and brews twice. So two drinks
How many glasses of Coffee, Cappuccino, Latte, Expreso can be made from this machine per day? Is there Any limitation on usage?
I would only use as a home machine..would not want to do more than 10-15 per day. No specific limitation but it is not commercial.
hi i am thinking of getting one but whats descaling the machine mean does it mean the machine wont last and will break down at some point ???? and can i make a normal coffee and milk together on this machine ??
Every machine requires descaling to clean the internal tanks and heating areas. It is a pretty simple process. Normal coffee is a relative term. If you were in Europe, then yes. It does not make a drip style coffee like you would get at a local McCafe, Tim Hortons or Dunkin Donuts.
@@ecscoffeeinc ok when i said normal i mean like can the machine do just coffee like you do with instant and add milk with it from the machine or do you have to add the milk manually after its brewed i hope that cleared it up
Why is this machine unavailable to buy anywhere? Was it recalled or poor sales?
Nope..Just supply chain issues..we get them in limited numbers and they sell out.
@@ecscoffeeinc thanks for confirming this. I was thinking it didn’t sell and folks went with the 4300 model the most.
Just ordered one today does anyone know if you can make the say flat white fill a 350ml cup or would you have to do this twice please
Hi! You can program your beverage length :)
Nice review!
Could you please tell if this machine has a cup warmer? Thanks!
Not an active one
@@ecscoffeeinc Thanks a mil
If you go up in water volume (more coffee) will the machine also grind more beans to keep grams to ml ratio the same? Or wil it just pump more water through the same amount of beans?
No. you need to adjust both which is very easy to do.
Would love to have a try, looks great
You should!
is this the one that supports wifi ?
No
I heard that this model has quick rinse function. Is that true? if so, how about the 4300?
What is it that you mean by quick rinse? Are you referring to the milk system, the cleaning of the brew group, or something else?
@@ecscoffeeinc The 5400 has a quick rinse function for the milk carafe. Under the Clean button.
Does it only do froth milk? Can it do warm milk only, without froth?
Here is every drink ruclips.net/video/kt0o5kqYX40/видео.html
Hi Betina from denmark here. I Own this nice maschine but need information about using and choosing pre Ground coffé, to rinse for Oil? I Can not find it anywhere.. 😅
Can't help in Denmark. But look for a quality Italian bean designed for espresso in a medium roast
Is it possible to plumb with a plumb for water with a plumb kit?
No it is not
I waited patiently for you to do a Flat Whit and you didn't do one, why was that, also lost sound for several minutes.
We did a video separately every drink on the 5400...yes missed that on this video.
