he might even go in this year as a reserve. He’s a way better outfielder and has better numbers than Teoscar other than Teo having more home runs
among NL CF'ers, Merrill is the best one, stat-wise....so he does deserve to go THIS SEASON. But you have to take a bit of a deep dive to see that. Thats why I appreciate Fangraphs. Thing is, often times the All Star managers and the Commissioners' office, DO NOT consider taking a deep dive...they tend to go with or suggest, knee-jerk 'picks' they feel they need more on their team. So, while we want Jackson to be there, Luvullo may want Robert Sanchez more..or he may want Luis Arraez more..or Jazz Chisholm, more.

@@turtle19dad I see endorsements out the back door...along the lines of the kind of sponsors that Tatis and Machado, have. Locking him up is going to happen, but I dont think it happens this year. But if he gets off to the same start next season and doesnt regress much, the Seidler Group wont have any choice but to give him a bunch of money. I mean, what are they going to do to avoid paying him?...trading him?...uh, that would start a riot downtown outside Petco.😆

I love that he made it and is pissed that they lost.
He’s a really skilled player. Hits with power, makes consistent contact and has good speed. A bit of a mixture of Ty Cobb and Joe DiMaggio skill wise.
