I hate to say it, but YOUR RIGHT. THAT is the problem in ALL industry across this Country. Too many people are sucking it up instead of fighting for what's right and what they deserve.

Please take this advice: GET OUT OF THE TRUCKING INDUSTRY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. You'll continue to make peanuts for years, while the company you work for rakes in the big money by exploiting your time and skills. Also, the stress that you experience in the trucking industry is bad for your health. You're worth a whole lot more than pennies a mile. Try to find an online business, or something where you can make money being your own boss. Do independent commercial truck reviews on RUclips... Anything... Try to make it your goal to leave the trucking industry in the next 18 months...

If more drivers had that mentality, less companies would be getting away with abusing drivers. problem with most people in all industries is that they dont stand up for themselves.

I like your videos. I think you are refreshingly candid about day to day issues in trucking. Im not a driver yet, I begin school on Tuesday. I have a stable work history to where I didn't have to "turn the other cheek" when I'm not pleased with my job. I'm not quite as combative as you are but I will resign from a position if I feel like I'm not being treated fairly & I've exhausted all other options. Keep doing what you do & don't worry about these trolls. Btw, I was raised in Flint but I live in SC now; I hope you are rooting for Michigan tomorrow night! Go Blue!!

Theres two problems that I see with trucking from an outside position looking in:
    1) There are too many "Good Ol' Boy" attitudes in my mind. Theres too many people that, as you say, are "laying down and taking it." They think brown nosing and taking everything up the ass qualifies them as some sort of "super trucker." These are the same people who dont want anything new to happen to trucking that they dont fully understand, like Qualcomms and E-Logs.
    2) None of the truckers who use RUclips, except for you, actually show a negative side to things. You actually come and say "My dispatcher tried to fuck with me today" or "This company is crooked, dont go here." Yes, it shows an in depth view into trucking but it dosent show the whole picture. They dont show the bad things that come up with any company or dealing with dispatchers who are assholes. Yes, they teach the newbies and people who are generally interested in this stuff a view on it, but they dont let them view the whole deal.
Abe, this is what I like about you. You have a lot more wisdom to offer then some people trolling

Let me make something perfectly clear to everyone. Its going to come to a point very soon,
where there will be no more drivers. because HyperLoop and a few other up and coming transportation corps are going to take over the transportation industry.
Trucks are going to be self driving. Which means there will be no more need for drivers. Im not saying its going to happen tomorrow or in 5 years.
But it is coming sooner than you think. Currently there are 24 driver-less trucks transporting merch OTR doing a massive test in the USA and Walmart is funding the entire thing with Co-Founders from Amazon,.
its been all over the news lately, so just be aware. ---- I dont actually know if someone will have to actually baby sit the truck while its doing its thing, most likely yes, but the fact of the matter
and the point to what I am saying is, Technology and AI is going to take over. We are moving into the future faster than you may think.
Walmart is talking about starting a fleet of 100 by 2025. --- Im just posting to notify people as to what is happening in the transportation business.
Walmart and Amazon are already in talks with DOT and also talking to DOT about upcoming technology and security over the roads when it comes to general Merch and transportation.

    • @ib1fastdime
      @ib1fastdime 6 лет назад +1

There are no driver-less trucks. Every automated transportation vehicle that exists still has a driver in the seat in case of emergency and likely will continue to due to technology's predisposition towards breaking horribly.
You won't see a truly driver-less truck until trucks get their own roadways. The driver's responsibilities will just change.

    👍Good video, thx👍So true.
After 33 years of working in the commercial-industrial refrigeration boilermaker career .... its ALL THE SAME! These companies don’t care about anyone personally. They go by P&L (profit and loss) sheets.
Also, personal productivity. I was a well seasoned technician & Supervisor of 17 techs. Was mostly always well paid but it was all because I did my job correctly. If I would have screwed up, I would’ve been gone. That’s just how it is. We are a NUMBER ONLY. And that number is all they (companies) look at and out for the corporate bond of investors and the CEO. They want their million dollars QUICKLY!
It’s all the same everywhere while working for the man. ✌️
UNION work is SO much better! Not much but some better....at least in my field of work and my job title.
Good luck and if they tell u bullshit, tell them to fuck if.... if you’re worth your “salt”, you’ll have another job in a day or 2. ✌️

Hold up wait a minute..... Did you call out Josh and Allie cause they're not negative!? You said trucking is mostly negative which is incorrect. I been in it 5 years and yes there is bad times but that comes with any job. NO driver is important in my opinion with a big company, with smaller companies yes because their whole business comes down to the few drivers they have. They don't have time to deal with bad drivers like how big companies do and will help work and develop drivers. Granted I'm no angel and i do have an attitude but end of the day trucking is not mostly negative. Trucking is what you make it, Josh and the other guys just have a different view of it. I stand up yes for what I believe but I also know when to pick my battles to win the war.
Anyways be safe out there sir. Have a great New Years holiday!
