Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh. I am a newly convert to Islam and this is my main concern. I looked for video tutorials on how to pray while sitting because it was difficult for me to kneel during the sujud and tashahud... I tried it once when I was just learning how to pray, but suddenly my chest tightened and i couldn't breathe while I was prostrating position.. because of what happened, i had a hard time getting up for tashahud because of the pain in my chest and knees, so from then on i used a chair when i do salah. But i do stand during takbir and recitation of surahs, i can also do ruku, i just sit down when i going to do sujud and tashahud, but i bow down in sujud... Am i doing it correctly, is my salah will be accepted?...
If there is dirt on the carpet or a reason then depending on the reason you may pray sitting on a chair!
Salam shaik in Sajdha while sitting can we pick turbha todo our sajdha. And what if I have prayed 2 rakat standing and 2 sitting . Or may be I dint know the rules and I prayed sitting
Do qiam, rukuh, sujud etc. at our best. Ease on what we cant
What if u have a injury in the legs?
Assalaamu allium. If a lady sit n read sallah cant put her legs close together because of health reason what must she do
If a lady sit n read sallah cant put her legs close together because of health reason what must she do
If possible keyam Ruku then sizda in chai
What about if you are on a plane journey - what would you advise on this situation(less related to ability, and more to the situations at hand)?
I pray with a chair in ruku and sajdah because I cant bend my knees. In the mosque the older people sit in chairs while doing prayers if they can't stand. My question is, wouldn't this be a distraction if everyone else is praying in a chair, and you're the only one standing doing ruku and sujood with your head.
No, since you have to do what is obligatory and what you can. M. Al-Hilli
What if you're in a public situation and it is not permissible to be standing??
Salam Sheikh
Thankyou for this information. I have been diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis Disability. I have poor balance whilst standing and suffer with chronic fatigue. Also severe spasticity in my legs.
Will I be punished for not standing? At the moment I am using the chair for all the namaaz is this wrong even if I can stand but I am very wobbly ? Hope u advise JazakAllah Khair
As salaam alaikum, ii have a varicose vein on my right reg and my leg becomes heavy and painful when i stand to long, so i wanted to find out, if i start off my salaah and say "allahuakbar" and sit on a chair and raise up before ruku and go down in sajdah as per usual, would my salaah be fulfilled?
Or could i stand normally for all my fardh prayers
And the other prayers
Such as tahajud
Sunnah
Nafl
And witr can ii pray these four sitting
And my fardh standing?
can one pray sitting on the floor like how a person regularly sits between the sajdas? If they can do all of the actions, standings, bending for ruku and sajda but they have difficulty getting up from the floor after they do sajdas to the standing position. how should they do the salah?
Do qiyam and ruku regularly but do sajda on table while sitting on a chair?
or
Do after the first rakah sajdas, remain sitting on floor, do qiyam while sitting upright, and bend head down as low as possible but not doing sajda for ruku and then perform sajada regularly.
which would be the correct approach?
they should sit on a chair and bend for sajda. M. Al-Hilli
I pray standing and do Ruku but use a table to do Sajad as I have a problem getting up from the ground is this ok
as per video, if you can't at all do sajda then thats fine
Salam Sheikh I honestly don’t know how many salat I prayed not properly or wrongly, what do I then I am confused
Salam Sheikh thank you for sharing this information with us, I used to pray salat normally but due to my problem I can’t pray and use the chair, but after what you just mentioned how important it is to pray standing up, not that I can’t but with difficulties, what shall I do with the salat that I have already performed, wrongly ,do I have to pray kaza ? Allah SWT knows how many salats I have to pray
Salaam alaikum
You're welcome
If you were able to stand up for a bit and didnt and prayed, you need to repeat those prayers. You need to estimate the number of salah prayed that way. Duas. M. Al-Hilli
As salam alaikum.
What are the rules for pregnant women ?
The problem is that in the later stage of pregnancy, 3 months before the due date, the legs and feets are really swollen. Standing up is not a problem but sitting on the floor doing Sujud, bending the toes is really really painful. Also sitting on the feets between Sujud s painful. So is it okay when we sit down on a chair and doing sujud on a table ?
Do we must bend the toes while doing Sujud on the chair with a table ?
Please answer 🙏🏼
Salaam alaikum
You can pray your salah standing up if you can't sit. As for ruku and sujood then you can use a chair and just move your head accordingly.

How about if it’s mustahab?
Assalamoalikum
Although u have said in your sermon that one can perform recommended prayers while sitting
Just to be sure
May I continue to perform namaz a jaffer a tayyar, namaz a ghufaiya, namaz a waseeyat, nafal of obligatory prayers namaz a tauba, namaz a astagfar, namaz a aff while sitting ?
Only faraz namaz has to be performed while standing and doing ruku ??
Pls answer shall be grateful sheikh sb 🙏
