I am one who sits because of challenges. I am a revert Muslim sister in my 60's. I am always searching for advice and welcome this video. I didn't know you only get half the reward for sitting. I hold my hands touching the air because I am trying to prostrate touching the ground and that's only how low I can go. But now I will bow lower and touch my knees instead. Thank you brother for this informative video may Allah bless and continue to guide us all.

Important video idea: make a short video advising the brothers to cover their Awrah correctly during salah. Every time without fail at the masjid, I always see a few brothers whose Awrah shows in Sujood and Ruku’. This invalidates salah so it’s important.
Just give tips on how to make sure the Awrah is covered like: tuck in your t-shirt into your pants/jeans, wrap a coat/jacket around the waist, carry a khamees and wear it for salah. BarakAllahu Feek.

Thanks for the explanation brother, what about someone who can do everything except for sitting during the tashahhud? can they stand up to sit on the chair after sujood?

This is what I’m going through right now. I usually pray the normal way, however I have a temporary issue that I can’t sit properly in the specific manner required in tashahhud as it’s painful and my back is not lean. So I can do sujood as it’s quick up & no longer than few seconds. I wish this issue goes quick. I hope he answers this.

Standing, bowing and prostrating are among the pillars of prayer, so whoever is able to do it must do it in its legal form, and whoever is unable to do it due to illness or old age, he may sit on the ground or on a chair

I have health issues concerning my stomach, and I can't pray right... I feel awful 😞 really sad about it. Having two ostomies has caused me great sadness. How can I do this right?? Shamsi there are people who can pray laying down or with their eyes or with not much movement due to medical conditions that may harm a persons health and Allah knows best.

When in congregation how should one place the chair cause as u said the first takbir one has to do standing so he joins the saf for that he will have to place the chair behind the saf people here India put the chair on the same line as the other people stand and the one using the chair stands in front cause now he cannot join because of the chair so he is standing way ahead

At times
I have to pray on the chair since I have had my left ankle replaced and screws, plates etc and my Left knee as will.
So at times, mostly in the winter or during Ramadan, at times, I have to use a chair.
I only use the chair when it is time for sujood.
I have a busted ankle aswell. I cant have operation because it was due to diabetic it is very difficult for me to carry out preyer. Do u know if its permitted for me to wear shoes when i prey ? Thanks masha allah

@@Jame629 it is mentioned in the Hadith.
“Be different from the Jews, pray wearing your slippers or shoes.” (Narrated by Abu Dawood, no. 652).
But the condition is that the shoes must be taahir (pure, clean). If there is any najaasah (impurity) or dirt on the shoes, then one should not pray wearing them or enter the mosque in shoes, unless he is sure that they are free of impurity or dirt. And Allaah knows best.

We should not influence the praying in a chair When NABI SAW said sit abd pray if you can’t stand and pray it meant sitting on the floor only in extreme extreme circumstances you sit in a chair but you must ensure you have a small table in front of you to put your head in sujood

I wat hed sheikh Salih al-fawzan mention to incline with the head during prayer while sitting. Are we supposed to move the back forward as u portrayed in the video or just in line the head only forward?
The Sunnah is to move the head in accordance, not your body.

You should do as much as you are able in its original form. Whatever you are unable to do, then you are not held to account for it

A few days ago, I was in a quiet restaurant, the musolla was quite a distant away, and I was suffering from a muscle injury which limits my walking and standing.
I had my wudhu from home, so I decided to pray in the niche/corner of my table, the qibla direction was facing the wall behind my table.
So I chose to pray my Maghrib at that spot, but I did not stand for my takbeer-ul-ihram, ie I was seated on the chair from beginning to end,, is my prayer valid or invalid? Shall I qada this prayer?
