Is it worth $80? No, no it's not. Am I willing to pay $80 for a small company that is bold enough to release a beautiful character design that nobody else would dare touch? You bet I am.

I like the figure just wished that they added a stoic head portrait.
If that’s really what you want then I would suggest looking at Japanese/Chinese products, they have done way more for way less in terms of female figures.
@@SpicyPsyDuck I'm aware that those companies are out there, but that's not really what I'm after. I don't care about figures being lewd, I just like them to look like they do in the comic pages. They are super heroes and heroines. They're super human and they're shaped with more exaggeration than is typically humanly possible.
I want Sabertooth to be ginormous and I want Emma Frost to be shapely. It has nothing to do with being thirsty, but I love these characters and I simply don't want Marvel to be ashamed of them

for this price point she should have came with wired fabric cape and hood with a alt head the figure does look great so I may pick it up.
I'm sure the folks at LooseCollector understand the flaws of each figure. They''ve been making improvements and listening to their customers. LA Muerta and the Warewolves are huge improvements so I don't think they'd be offended by you giving very valid critiques.
LaMuerta is a $70 figure with plain black plastic guns...
La Muerta also looks like a retooled Black Widow figure…

I like the aesthetics of these figures, and I'm really happy to see someone make these kinds of figures, but the price point definitely push them firmly out of 'impulse purchase' territory. I got the Lady Death figure on sale and was happy enough with it, La Muerta looks really cool so I'd like to get that figure too if I could get a good deal on it.
At that price they should offer more accessories, extra heads or faceplates, etc. I like their Rocketeer but it's too expensive for what it is, and they just don't feel worth what they ask for. I wish they made more so they could price it cheaper, or found a way to make it less expensive.

I had one on pre-order but they've taken so long to come out I decided to spend my $100 elsewhere...
I'm really happy and surprised to see this review, as I'm absolutely interested in figures like this, but didn't think you'd get a review sample or be interested, so I'm really glad I get to hear your analysis! I like these 'bad girl' comicbook characters, even if I don't have an attachment to a specific one.
I've been curious about Loose Collectors' stuff, but your review has confirmed some of my concerns; namely the very limited articulation. Even then, I can make exceptions; but $70 USD is too much for me, especially when it doesn't come with an alternate face. It feels like a huge missed opportunity to not have a more 'angry' face, like what you see on both artworks on the sides of the box, as that fits the character much more than the one face it comes with.
I feel like most people just hype these figures up because they are almost naked women. I've always thought loose collector figs are just like hasbro figs with a matte finish but for way higher price.

I have 3 of them, and I agree. They are mostly going for a certain kind of nostalgia for particular characters. I got Lady Death, Vampirella, and Red Sonja, because there just aren't any options for those characters at 1/12. And the Red Sonja isn't bad, but I was disappointed with both LD and Vampirella, and I do not plan on getting any more of these unless I hear about some significant improvements. If they were $40, maybe $45, I'd say their fine, but these are being sold at Mafex prices (TBF, I think if you preorder early on their site they are about $15 less).
I might go for one of the Great Wolves, those look amazing, though a little large for my taste (I think Veteran Williams is a good sized 1/12 werewolf).

The thing about Loose Collector and his team is they are continually making their figures better. Can they lower the price point, probably not. But it’s almost guaranteed that they will take some of the criticisms here and correct them.
She'd probably fit in fine with mythic legions.
I preordered this figure. I have the Chaotica comic so decided to get this figure. I think it looks great.
I was a big fan of Chaos Comics back in the day, it got me back into comics after Marvel started to go downhill. Have a lot of the rare foil cover variants, etc.. I only found out not too long ago that after the closure of Chaos Comics that they'd sort of shifted to Coffin Comics, and again it's probably going to get me back into comics - That being said I already have other merchandise of a lot of the characters LooseCollector is producing, so...I've bought all of the characters from Coffin Comics that they've produced, and will continue to do so :p
Yes, I want it for general collection of action figures at 1/12 or a little taller.
I got the LooseCollector Red Sonja and it's great. I've heard great things about the La Muerta figure as well, but don't have it.

I was actually thinking of buying this figure and the rest of the line, but for that price, it's my wallet that will be in need of a coffin. ⚰️💸
I got their Lady Death and Hellwitch figures , but those was significantly cheaper back then , specially preorder price. They are nice and tall enough to fudge in with my 1/10 figures which is I mostly collect. The paint and mold are impressive, specially back then, but the articulation though very well planned so the sculpt looks pretty wasn't very functional, particularly in the torso.
Since that time, as much as I dislike Hasbro I have to give it to them the did improve on their female figures: better most expressive faces, more intricate and dynamic hair designs, more articulation and better placement of the cuts so it doesn't look so ugly. Just in term of product, these loose collectibles female figures aren't that great of a leap in quality as they used to be, specially at the current price. I know it's not fair to compare the resources of the biggest toy company in the world, but being in the same scale and style and genre, that's what they are going to be compete directly. So I am happy with the figures I got but I think that's it for me. The werewolves on the other hand seem very impressive, I may be getting at least one of those.
Very fair review. If the things being pointed out are improved, defo considering it as some of the IP figures aren’t widely available from other companies

I think loosecollector has been out around the same time anthonycustoms have, when they were both customizing figures. Have been watching both since I was a kid.
She is like a copy of Moonstone mold, one of the best mold that ML has, another great mold is Shriek, but aside from that the other ideas were meh, even the new Ms. Marvel was a big dissapointed on scale, and proportions. One of the worst mold of ML is Kate Bishop, an anime girl like mold with flimsy, or gummy legs, that turned eventually with a bow effect. A big waste of money.
Lol. I thought these were bootlegs of that mold when I first saw prototypes on the Fwoosh weekly.

Thank you for a super honest review !!! I entirely agree with you. In my opinion, the best figure they put out yet is SHI. But that only works because of the way her clothing conceals some of the flaws in their design. I do hope they can improve their quality to reach their price point. At best these are $50 figures in my opinion. There are some other lone companies out there making incredible figures for far less or the same price.

I think the "attributes" could be just 5-10% smaller and it will look waaaay better. I mean, I know what they are going for, butt I think its just a little bit too much.

I have 2 big reasons why I want this figure...
1. Looks like Emma
Yeah well…it’s a solid 6….but yeah that’s a tough review to make. It’s good to have both of your inputs as toymaker and a figure collector.
Boss Fight Studio has 1/12 figures (the upcoming Red Sonja) and they are priced at between 25 and 50 depending on the figure. That is what this company should have priced their figures at imho. They are not on par with the other import figures at that price point. Especially with the lackluster paint applications and headsculpts. The body sculpt is however their selling point I guess, as Hasbro would never give you female figures that look remotely close to that.
Great honest review. Although I'm not interested in the character, that is a pretty neat figure with a great female body sculpt. I think the latest Red Sonja figure is from this company which I have and is great too. Lady Death is the only other character I'm familiar with from the back of the box and looking forward to seeing you review other characters from this company if they send you more

I have LooseCollector/Executive Replicas Rocketeer 2pack. I love Dave Steven's artwork and I loved the film adaptation as a kid, so I'm super happy with the set, but like your review the paint quality doesn't match the price point. They seem to be getting better though with painting skin

I have a couple Loose Collector figures. I buy them if I know the characters. I try to buy them on sale.
From my personal experience, LooseCollector figures are overpriced and never worth the $70-$80 bucks. They usually only come with one extra head, 2-3 pairs of hands and an effect part or weapon. That’s not much more than a Marvel Legend, speaking of which the articulation is about the same. Really the only thing that separates LooseCollector from Marvel Legends is their figures are from more adult oriented comics, and the sculpts reflect that, and the amount of paint they put on their figures. The value just isn’t worth it, that’s definitely import territory. Hell, $80 dollaridoos is even pricey by boutique figure standards.
The only ones I was interested in with these were Red Sonja and Vampirella. I didn't like in-hand pictures of Vampirella. And BOSS FIGHT STUDIO has a better-looking double-arm jointed option for Red Sonja, 25 dollars less with a nicer spread of accessories. And I feel like it looks better too. Red Sonja Is one of the very few comics I still read that has good writing. I'm gonna take a gamble on BOSS FIGHT. I really would love a Red Sonja. Also, her body looks more balanced then the loose collector one. Only person who likes these is this other youtuber I won't say buy name. Cause he is really really weird when it comes to female figures. Weird as in a little creepy and I do not wanna know what he does with them when the camera is off.

It's not like they're against it, disney won't let them. Their older figures like comic gamora, 2014 black cat and basically all the moonstone mold figures show it

Disney/hasbro hates the women, they don't want women like features on toys. So that's why we get pencil figure females and muscular half naked super heroes lol
I was hoping they would improved their figures but alas it doesn't look that way. I have the lady death version and the paints are also off on her. Her right hip joint broke as well. It's disappointing. i really want to support them but their quality isn't that great. Jada Toys should take over the license. Their Ultra SF II line is top notch for the low price!
It's not worth the price to the average consumer, but for someone who is a fan of the character, they will not be able to get it otherwise. For those people, $70 is a good compromise. And I think that's their market.

I preordered her, Lady Satanus, and La Muerta direct from Executive Replicas/loosecollector when they were first announced and got them substantially cheaper. I’ve only opened up La Muerta so far but she’s great.
I’ve messaged Loosecollector and said they should complete the Ckayburn Moore action figure homage set by making Fathom and Witchblade, they said they’d think about it.
Coffin Comics are awesome. Though these figures are, at least from the Lady Death and Hellwitch figures way too expensive for what they are. They're decent figures if money isn't a thing XD
Their monsters look cool, but these are just glorified Marvel Legends. She also has Mewtwo syndrome 😂.

The problem with LooseCollector is that all their figures are Over Price, They look like Marvel Legends, but they price it like SHF or Mafex. I'm surprised that they still aren't bankrupt.

In regards to her 1/12 scale, the character herself is probably tall. If i were to use as emma frost, i would have her sitting down
Not gonna lie, I'd like to see more fanservicey type of figures since nowadays it seems like that's a line less and less companies are daring to cross, but at that price point these most definitely should come with a bit more stuff.
The articulation is also disappointing; that design would work amazing with a ball-jointed waist, I'm surprised there's only movement at her chest.
Anthony, she is for a certain collectors. Fans of Chaos Comics and adults who can jive with her aesthetic. I ordered La Muerta and am waiting for her with much anticipation. Great review ✌️

More figures should have swapable hair pieces if they have long hairs, hell even some figures with short hairs do that.
It looks like an okay figure, but it really does look like something id see at a convention sold in a plastic baggie for $15 among other pre-owned figures lol
def not a high end figure.
I'm not interested in this line because the QC issues and the huge difference between prototype and production. And the hefty price. That said, they seem to have been improving quite a bit on QC front.
If I want more risque figures that actually maintain the kind of proper proportions and aesthetics as your standard mainstream American superhero comics, there are other cheaper alternatives, or way better, more premium products with tons of accessories around the same pricepoint. Xesray comes to mind. Boss Fight is putting out Red Sonja and Kier from Court of the Dead, both at around $50 and with way more articulations and accessories than this, while also sticking faithfully to the source material withhout worrying about kids seeing them on shelves like Hasbro does.
And many other small and upcoming Chinese companies are pumping out tons of wonderful figures to fill this niche, so there are those too.
I don't think I'd buy this character but the hell witch with the naked chest i would.
I've been collecting these. The Red Sonja figure is awesome. I also have Lady Death, HellWitch, and Purgatori and Vampirella. I'm pretty happy with the line aside from the price. And yet I still pay it. Lol.
She'd go well with some Marvel Selects and McFarlane figures I own as an honorary Emma Frost lol
I'd have picked her up for an Emma Frost stand in for about 30-35, but nah. Same thought I had when I saw it pop for pre-order some time ago; price is too high.

I like that she is an original character, and I would get her just for that. She would fit right in with Lady death and Vampirella and Red Sonja. I don’t really collect Marvel Select, but if I did, I would be putting her with them.

when pre ordered direct i got mine for 50 and some change. I personally have the comics so the figure goes into my display with a comic that has a good cover. they have some demon ladies that i put into a display with a huge diablo figure. they are really pricey
Q of the Day: I have her preordered with BBTS. I don’t know the character, but I know of her. If you asked me why I have her preordered, about the only thing I could say for myself is “I think she’s purdy.” It’s just an aesthetically attractive figure to me, and I’m not referring to the fan service which I could honestly do without. I think it’s the neck up that sold me. Pretty face, nice hair, I like how they handled the hood and cape, and I like the choker/charm. Having said that, I completely agree with your review and overall rating. This is a 2014 figure at 2044 prices…but it would have been a great figure in 2014, even at 2024 prices. 😜
For me it's a matter of the price. And it's not even that I feel that the figure isn't worth the price. It's a matter of money is tight for me currently

I will say I like the hair swaps and that they manage to do the "mouth slightly open" face that Hasbro Legends has tried like four different times and cannot get right at all. Originally with that horrible Invisible Woman.
This line is very expensive, although for other characters the detail and paint on them is exquisite! I think the best of them all is La Muerta, plenty of accessories and a very good range of motion!
It looks like all of the guns she comes with are just plain black plastic, is there actually detail and paint on them?
@@TheMattTrakker not on the gun, but the skeleton deco, face and hair look amazing, you kinda balance the amount of weapons and hands with the lack of paint on them
@@JosSanJi Not at $70 you don't. Look at how much paint is on a Neca figure and what they come with (normally have paint on their accessories) and they're 1/2 the price.
I think the LaMuerta figure looks cool...but it's a $40 figure, not $70.
Funny that you mentioned Emma Frost cause that's exactly what I thought when I first seen it. And pretty sure it's the reason most people would buy it for.
The fact that it has pretty much the same articulations as Marvel Legends also help to give that impression.
Also can we mention the guy who is happy to talk about his 'package' then gets all touchy when reviewing a half-naked female figure? 😂😂

I appreciate the honesty. They are good figures, but that price is pushing it if you don’t have a love of a specific character, or an unusually high amount of disposable income. I have Red Sonja and half regret it because the cheaper and better looking headsculpt on the upcoming Boss Fight version… but I have seen no drama from Loose Collector like I have Boss Fight so I do want to root for them. I also have La Meurta on the way because I love skeletons.
