Great video! I've found the Dream to take pedals extremely well. It reacts to what I put in front of it like a real amp instead of sounding just like an EQ.

Thanks Zachariah! What's your favorite pedal run into the Dream?

Nothing better than laying in bed during a sick day and getting some sweet riffs from GG. P.s. the 80s vibe was lovely.

In my experience, the UA Dream 65 doesn't take pedals that well. The Dream reacts to whatever you put in front of it, which is usually a good thing. However, because this pedal does not have a lot of headroom, it sounds too digital whenever it's pushed by anything other than a light overdrive. I can get some good SRV-type tones from the Dream using my Honey Bee Amps Clean drive. But whenever this pedal is set up clean and I add a distortion pedal on top of it, the realism that this device has when clean just disappears.

The amp definitely does not have much head room, so luckily we gotta balance that with the output knob. It's not one to one like the actual amp but if you get it in its sweet spot it can work

Agreed - Vox (ruby) is the same, I have the output super low on my ua volt audio interface to give me more headroom

@@Brianbo4how do you adjust the output on the Volt? I have one and I haven’t been able to figure out how to adjust output and have been searching online how to do so for awhile with no luck.

@@Theritualknifeit’s the “gain” knob, the more you use the less headroom you have with the volt tho

@@Brianbo4 that would be input volume not output volume.

Looked like you were having fun playing with that SRV tone (who wouldn’t?)

I wish somebody would explain where it goes in your paddleboard

If you're using it as your amp then it depends on the pedals you're using. Overdrives, compressors and wah and everything you'd put in front of your amp goes into the front of the pedal. Then modulation, reverbs and delays go after. Hope that helped!
