Woodstock’99 NEVER should have been allowed from the get go. Of course it was a recipe for disaster. Who didn’t see THAT coming ??🫢😖
The greedy (John Scher) and clueless (Michael Lang) promoters. Woodstock '94 went very well despite the mud, except they made no money due to the weak fencing that enabled so many people to get in for free. (The same thing happened in 1969, but eventually the promoters turned a profit thanks to the movie and the soundtrack album[s].) So, the organizers found a "defensible site" that happened to be made in large part of tarmac, booked a bunch of performers that attracted large numbers of d-bags, and things got worse from there.
