My 2 cents of love❤: Though hydrogen peroxide can act as a bleach on some things it is my understanding that it also helps stop the bleaching process of a Chlorine product which is important. High doses of Bleach unchecked will keep bleaching for years to come and can create holes destroying the garment over time especially on cellulose fabrics like cotton and rayon. I’ve watched it happen with some artisan pieces I’ve purchased. Using some kind of agent to chemically stop the bleaching process is recommended especially if you are making a garment for sale. We want patrons happy well after the purchase!
You can buy bleach that is fabric safe and won’t make holes in your clothes if you want to try that cowhide method on 100% cotton tees - I did love this video though would love to see you do one for the average DIYer and do transfers or iron ons with just an household iron - they all turned out super cute😊thanks for sharing!

Oh wow, this is so much fun!! I just bought some t’s at Michaels last week for $2.99🙌 I’ve never heard of the cowhide method, I’m going to try it! I did bleach some flannel shirts, it was so fun! Now I need a heat press Liz!! Thanks for all the info👍👍🐄💕💕💕
These turned out great! The hydrogen peroxide is what neutralizes the bleach and stops it from processing immediately. Just using water to rinse won’t stop it right away. But 1/4 tsp ascorbic acid to 1 gallon water will do the same thing. 😊

Very informative. Thank you for sharing. When you wash, after bleaching, do you just use water or do you add detergent as you would washing dirty laundry?
I'm assuming you can only get the shirts in bulk? I don't have anything like you have. I would just like to try my hand with a few to start, but how can i get just a few so i don't have to buy bulk until i can advance? The only thing i can do now is just the bleaching which i love how yours turned out and i would definitely love to do the other with the heat press but i don't have any of these things to do that. I have a shirt that i love for winter but it has soiled stains on it that wouldn't come out and i spotted the shirt in the process the stain remover took out the color and left white spots,so the only way i will be able to wear it now is to bleach it. It's a plum color with dog paws on it so I've got to figure out how to do that so you can still see the prints on it but blend the spotted stains. I hope i can do that so i can wear the shirt. Im inexperienced, so i hope i don't mess it up because i love the shirt it is so soft. I hope you can give me some pointers.

Hydrogen peroxide is a bleach. My sister used to put streaks in her hair with it.
