With the new recoil changes, a pointfire nerf was expected. In some of my first fights, I noticed I was struggling to pointfire even very close opponents. If anything, I'm surprised it's taken people this long to notice. Now you have to aim, which is good!
@@garyhamilton2104 Because point-firing bypassed recoil issues that ADS had. @@garyhamilton2104 Pointfire in previous wipes was so good that you were literally better off not using your sights at all even at 20-30 meters, as well as totally avoiding aimpuch that a player using their sights would experience if they took a hit - which is pretty ridiculous and has been a longstanding complaint with the game. IRL you are actually removing an entire point of contact used to steady your weapon when you point fire (your cheek weld) so it should be less controllable. @jtoole5639 nah dude point fire is a very real thing but it makes sense for the game to be more realistic and make you use your optic more often instead of relying on point fire and never using your optic unless you're shooting at a distance like before

you can run an ir laser and get the point fire spread reduction without emitting a visible laser (except to nvg's of course) while still running a flashlight. the easiest way to do it is to load in with your flashlight not on your gun, toggle the ir laser device to whatever setting you want, then putting the flashlight on your gun. then when you hit your tac device toggle button the flashlight will turn on while the laser turns off and vice versa. so you basically always have accurate point fire at the expense of 1 or 2 ergo im sure a lot of people know this as ive picked up a couple of pmc's guns and thought "why are they running this?" so it might be really obvious but other than my own experiences in game i havent seen a single person talking about this.

Im not sure how I feel about it. It makes sense that 3 points of contact during ADS would be easier to control, but the laser thing is a bit too far imo. Perhaps a middleground between the no laser and with laser pointfire spread would work for both having and not having a laser.
Point fire still has 3 points of contact. its not hip fire, your rifle is still on your shoulder, and both hands are still are on your gun. you simply use a laser to aim.
The changes to ADS and Hipfire make total sense. When I'm in ADS, I have much more control over the gun instead of casually firing from the hip. The fact that the weapon dances more as a result is logical and understandable. There was no reason before why the spray pattern would become smaller with a laser and therefore the hipfire would be so strong. So you have to use ADS even at medium distances if you don't want to mess up. What does it actually look like with Hipfire and Singlefire? Is the spray pattern that big?

Pointfire was OP.
Im gonna miss it, but tbh the game is better like this.
Nice intro
Makes sense now yeah :)
I'm so glad they nerfed the hipfire scrubs that made this game annoying. There's a reason this patch feels SO good.
I knew something was up
100% bad change, bullets dont go anywhere near pointof aim or laser placement anymore, it just feels like shit
cause hip fire was too OP 😅
Ads should always be king
Nonwonder i died yesterday
I'm glad that they nerfed hipfire. It was way over powerered. It's not realistic to not aim your gun and hit every shot from 20 yards away. It punished the players who use ADS and lets face it in a real world situation you will be aiming your guin not just hip firing all the time like you are John Rambo
Sorry but that's how it should be. Good nerf.
it's very different, but I'm ok with it
thank GOD they nerfed point fire. It was so broken.
Its good they changed it use your ads.
THANK GOD!
They need to take fog out
Thank god
Nothing new, they change recoil system after two weeks of wipe
So what im seeing is that t hey literally just swapped hip fire and ads recoil patterns lmfao
its nice that fatboy nikita took another way to do something in a fight away from you. games literally just gonna become a sitting still simulator.
