    I don’t know how to crochet . I bought a huge bag of already made granny squares at the thrift store in hopes of just stitching them together which looks like the easiest part 😝 your sweater is fantastic! I’m jealous of your skills

      Stitching them together was super easy! I used a crochet hook, but you could also use a yarn needle 😊

  • @alyssajanssen8683
    @alyssajanssen8683 2 года назад +11

    I bought all the yarn, made 50 squares, started by putting the sleeves together and thought “wow, that looks so small!” It was, indeed, way too small (3 squares went from my wrist to just above my elbow🙃) so I added and entire extra row of 3 to my sleeve and it hits about where yours does but I had to go back and add rows to my entire cardigan, which I am making 6 different color combinations of the squares, long story short- I am apparently a VERY tight crocheter, I have to make 34 more squares to complete it now and with my “too much” gene that means I had to rewrite my color layout 🙃😅 BUT you made it super easy to learn! It’s definitely something I will continue making, every issue I’ve had has been self inflicted 😂

    • @michelle_jasek

      This was the first cardigan i ever made, so i was trying to guess how many would work lol. When i made my 2nd one it was a lot easier figuring how many i needed/ the layout lol. I hope yours turns out awesome!😊

    23:09 where im from you weigh how much yarn you used! So a ball of yarn might be 200g or 500g but the sweater will weigh 1,5 kg for example. So it could be only 3 balls of yarn or way more!

    • @michelle_jasek

      Best bet is to make one part at a time! For example the sleeve. Make enough for one sleeve and attach that sleeve together (so it’s just a big square) then drape it over your arm and see how the fit is. You’ll be able to tell how many more you will need to make. I hope that helps
