I don’t know how to crochet . I bought a huge bag of already made granny squares at the thrift store in hopes of just stitching them together which looks like the easiest part 😝 your sweater is fantastic! I’m jealous of your skills
25:16 EXACTLY! The reason why I love your videos is that it seems that you're the only one who actually knows how to explain properly especially for beginners like myself
I recently started crocheting and been practicing different granny squares to make myself a cardigan 🥰 I love your design and thank you for the tutorial I will def try it
I bought all the yarn, made 50 squares, started by putting the sleeves together and thought “wow, that looks so small!” It was, indeed, way too small (3 squares went from my wrist to just above my elbow🙃) so I added and entire extra row of 3 to my sleeve and it hits about where yours does but I had to go back and add rows to my entire cardigan, which I am making 6 different color combinations of the squares, long story short- I am apparently a VERY tight crocheter, I have to make 34 more squares to complete it now and with my “too much” gene that means I had to rewrite my color layout 🙃😅 BUT you made it super easy to learn! It’s definitely something I will continue making, every issue I’ve had has been self inflicted 😂
This was the first cardigan i ever made, so i was trying to guess how many would work lol. When i made my 2nd one it was a lot easier figuring how many i needed/ the layout lol. I hope yours turns out awesome!😊
Omg so glad I came across to your tutorial, wasnt sure how to make half square, thank you so much for explaining it. Going to make a granny square vest, with the help of your tutorial , love it. ❤
I have tried to crochet and I need the visual instructions. Watching you makes it look much easier. Your verbal instructions are very easy to understand. Thank you!
This is marvelous! I love that you listed the tv shows you watched while you made this. I’m working on one myself and have made it while watching Stranger Things. 😃
What a brilliant tutorial. So easy to follow and I am glad you put in the remedy with the neck opening, that is useful information as I have come across this myself. Thank you so much, have subscribed 😀
I followed your videos basically step by step with some help of another video. And I just finished my cardigan last night. Took me about 80 hours. Just wish I can post it here for others to see how it turned out.
Thanks so much for the AMAZING clear and precise directions. I want to make these Grannie Squares to create a jacket for my daughter, who has been obsessed with Granny Squares for years. Again, thanks so much. I just have to get the yarn in the colors needed and start making the squares!!!
It turned out so beautiful! I’m totally going to try this :’) I love your videos sm I already tried doing the granny square bag and it turned out really pretty :D
I just started this pattern after seeing it on your TikTok the other day!! I’m so excited! My girlfriend already loves the way the squares look and is probably going to request that I make her one too haha
You did an amazing job,I enjoyed your work, I've been crocheting for quite some time and never tried to do clothes, I'm gonna look into your work,I like cardigans, on any case thank you for your videos
Beautiful, looks great,is each ball of 100grams India we buy according to grams so please let me know how many grams of yarn u have used I will try to make it, love you from India ❤❤God bless 🙏🙏
hello I was just wondering how many squares it would take to make a 2xl cardigan? I myself usually wear a 2xl in most my clothing so I dont know if the size you're making will be enough for me
I plan on maybe making this for my sister as a birthday gift but neither of us are conventionally sized, like XL to XXL for things to fit comfy. Any idea on how to size up the pattern?
Hi! Such a vibrant cardigan! Thanks for sharing a video 😊✨ could you please tell me what quantity of yarn is required in grams? I plan on making this for a friend and don't wanna run out of yarn! Thank you ❤️
Did you figure it out? It’s a circle of 8 double crochet instead of 16. Then 8 petals instead of 16, then the boarder is half corner, full row, full corner full row, half corner 😊
Agreed. My neckline looked absolutely horrible with the half granny squares, and they were a pain in the ass to follow on this tutorial. I ripped them out and replaced them with full granny squares. So much better! It looks so much more put together and sits very stylishly on my shoulders
23:09 where im from you weigh how much yarn you used! So a ball of yarn might be 200g or 500g but the sweater will weigh 1,5 kg for example. So it could be only 3 balls of yarn or way more!
This cardigan is gorgeous, ive been crocheting about a year now and have never made any clothes just blankets and smaller projects, do you have a guide as to how to figure out how many squares you would need for sizing up? im a bit bigger than you. The rest of the video is so helpful, i just dont know how many to make, and if i sew together to see the size and need to add more am i able to do that at the end or have to have them all done before i start
Best bet is to make one part at a time! For example the sleeve. Make enough for one sleeve and attach that sleeve together (so it’s just a big square) then drape it over your arm and see how the fit is. You’ll be able to tell how many more you will need to make. I hope that helps
Would it be difficult to make this with a different patterned granny square? I was thinking moons and stars but idk if it would be hard to get the same measurements
how did you do the ribbing on the front pieces where you folded the granny square in half? i know it’s an old video but it’s been very helpful for making my own cardigan!!!
I would recommend making more squares then needed. I ended up needing more then double the 48 squares she recommended. The trim tutorial is also super confusing.
I find attaching them with a single crochet makes it a little bulky. So i prefer slip stitching them. I think i explain it better in my other granny square cardigan video lol
In the description it says how many balls of yarn you used but I couldn't find information about how many gramms a ball of yarn contains? Does anybody know?
I just wish you didn’t speed up this video so much. I kept trying to study it and keep up and it became frustrating. I had all my granny squares made up and was getting confused on how to connect them because your video really went too fast on that part.
I don’t know how to crochet . I bought a huge bag of already made granny squares at the thrift store in hopes of just stitching them together which looks like the easiest part 😝 your sweater is fantastic! I’m jealous of your skills
Stitching them together was super easy! I used a crochet hook, but you could also use a yarn needle 😊
Honestly chrocheting is very easy when you have learned it. I think it's worth even a try!
Lucky you! Thifting Treasure Trove!😍
@@lj6393 Yeah, that's a great find. 👍
Crocheting it and actually creating the pieces is the fun part. I learned in my 50’s and you can too
25:16 EXACTLY! The reason why I love your videos is that it seems that you're the only one who actually knows how to explain properly especially for beginners like myself
I sometimes wonder if anyone understands what i’m talking about when i make these tutorials lol
There are other good channels that I used as a beginner.
These are some of them:
1.Happyberry crochet
2.Bella coco
3.Hooked by Robin
4.Naztazia

Wow what an absolutely fab cardi so retro 70’s love it.
Yes!! Yours is the first video I’ve found to actually help me with the edging! Thanks girl ❤
Omg so glad I came across to your tutorial, wasnt sure how to make half square, thank you so much for explaining it. Going to make a granny square vest, with the help of your tutorial , love it. ❤
I don’t have the patience for crochet but omg this is incredible! I love this sweater soo much!

Love you’re crochet square holder, a great name.

Your sweater is very pretty and colorful. Brilliant idea, granny square holder!

Thank you for sharing your process! Your cardigan is gorgeous!
I just started this pattern after seeing it on your TikTok the other day!! I’m so excited! My girlfriend already loves the way the squares look and is probably going to request that I make her one too haha
Thanks for sharing dear, the colour are beautiful too.❤️❤️
Omg you did such a great job! I love it. Looks so comfy!
Aww thank you Daffny 😊🧡
Love love love this!!! You are so talented. It’s a piece of art.
Aww thank you 😊🧡
Exactly what I needed thank you 🫶
Thats super cute. I love the color of this.
Nice! I can’t see well enough to use black, so I think I would use cream.
This video was super helpful! Perfect for my friend! Thank you
You did an amazing job,I enjoyed your work, I've been crocheting for quite some time and never tried to do clothes, I'm gonna look into your work,I like cardigans, on any case thank you for your videos
Absolute perfection🌻
love your vidoes keep it up😁
It looks great!! And the colors are quite on-brand 😂
Aww thank you! Lol
Nive cardigan just wish you would have slowed the video when you did the half granny square. Very interested in learning how to make one.
Thank you. Great video!
How did you do the half squares?
thats amazing! great tutorial ! cant wait to make one!
Hi. I just found your channel by chance while looking at other crochet videos on BAG O Day Crochet. New sub here. Very cute. Thanks for sharing.
How do you make like the half granny square for the neck part? :)
Amazing sweater 👏😍
So nice and cleary toturial
Lovely Job!!!
Hello! Thank you for the tutorial is awesome! I have a question: which is the size of each granny square? Greattings from Switzerland.
Hi there how did you sew the half square on?
Hi i am a new subscriber, I love this pattern and plan to make it! thanks for sharing!
How did you make the half granny square art the top front
Very Beautiful,!
Hey! How big is your granny square holder? Like how many inches on each side
Beautiful. Do you have a tutorial how to put the cardigan together?
Beautiful, looks great,is each ball of 100grams India we buy according to grams so please let me know how many grams of yarn u have used I will try to make it, love you from India ❤❤God bless 🙏🙏
I love it!!

Amaizing❤❤❤❤
how many granny square would i need to make this with short sleeves?
I plan on maybe making this for my sister as a birthday gift but neither of us are conventionally sized, like XL to XXL for things to fit comfy. Any idea on how to size up the pattern?
Hi! Such a vibrant cardigan! Thanks for sharing a video 😊✨ could you please tell me what quantity of yarn is required in grams? I plan on making this for a friend and don't wanna run out of yarn! Thank you ❤️
What stitch did u use to close up the cardigan
How did you do the half granny squares? I keep looking at them and I can’t imagine that they’re cut, but I can’t figure out how you did them.
Did you figure it out? It’s a circle of 8 double crochet instead of 16. Then 8 petals instead of 16, then the boarder is half corner, full row, full corner full row, half corner 😊
i'm sorry. maybe i just missed it but can I ask what size of the crochet hook did you use?
Do you use that old typewriter!
nice and easy video. i would agree to NOT do the half granny squares for the collar and just do regular full squares instead.
If you do full squares at neckline how do you finish the right angle?
Agreed. My neckline looked absolutely horrible with the half granny squares, and they were a pain in the ass to follow on this tutorial. I ripped them out and replaced them with full granny squares. So much better! It looks so much more put together and sits very stylishly on my shoulders
What is your recommendation on how to lay out the squares if I'm a little bit bigger?
23:09 where im from you weigh how much yarn you used! So a ball of yarn might be 200g or 500g but the sweater will weigh 1,5 kg for example. So it could be only 3 balls of yarn or way more!
Would you say this one you made is a size S, M or L?

Would it be difficult to make this with a different patterned granny square? I was thinking moons and stars but idk if it would be hard to get the same measurements
how do you make the triangle granny squares!!
I'm using this pattern, but for my own design, what are the inch measurements of each square?
What crocheting hook do u use ? 5mm or ??
It's so cute 🥺 I'm getting yarn today and making one, only question is how do you wash it?
I’ve only worn it a few times, so I haven’t washed it yet. But i’m thinking I’m probably going to gently hand wash it.
As an avid crocheter for 30 years this tutorial is very incomplete. How did you do the half squares? Hard to follow along.
What are the washing instructions for this?
I’m making this currently and I feel like my starting brown circles are so small!
Thanks for the cute tutorial! How did everyone do the half granny squares at the front? Did they fold them? I can't figure it out.
It’s in the tutorial around 12:00
I don't know if it's because I just watched a clip of Anne Hathaway singing "Since You've Been Gone" but you kinda sorta sound like her.
how did you do the ribbing on the front pieces where you folded the granny square in half? i know it’s an old video but it’s been very helpful for making my own cardigan!!!
I have that same question!! I'm experimenting right now 😭😂
I would recommend making more squares then needed. I ended up needing more then double the 48 squares she recommended. The trim tutorial is also super confusing.
I want your strawberry jacket 😍😫💕 did u make it too? 🥺
I actually bought it at Hot topic!!
What size is this jacket? Very beautiful
Gravity falls is a good one to binge watch
What do I call the stitch for the petals Bc I’m trying to right down this pattern for me to use later I don’t know what to call to petals.. 6:12
What size is this?My son wants something like this. How much would I need for a man’s size(42 chest)
Que talla te saldría, cuántos cm miden los granny??
Im in the process of making my squares. Were the 48 squares and 2 halves enough?
I’m a size medium and i like the fit of mine. It all depends if you want it smaller or oversized.
Please please someone tell me how she did the black one the triangle piece 🫠💔❤️ 13:34
I can’t figure it out😢
Is it okay if I did 15 petals 😭?
What size is the sweater?
so when stitching together is a slip stitch not a single crochet? i’m making my first cardigan and running into issues with stitching squares together
I find attaching them with a single crochet makes it a little bulky. So i prefer slip stitching them. I think i explain it better in my other granny square cardigan video lol
@@michelle_jasek ohh okay! i’m having a hard time stitching together my squares for my first cardigan so 😅
In the description it says how many balls of yarn you used but I couldn't find information about how many gramms a ball of yarn contains? Does anybody know?
The yarn i used is all by the same brand. So each ball of yarn contains 127.5g i hope this helps!
What are the dimensions of each square?
To crochet a normal granny square it take just under 10 minutes for me
a little over a month u say? i started it a year ago and i just finished it :(
This is so fucking cute. However I’m worried for the upper arms. How would I make it bigger or loose?
How bug are the squares?
I have the measurements listed in the video description 😊
@@michelle_jasek 🤣 I see that now! Thank you! xx
I’m kinda concerned about the size ! I’m a very short very small teen ! And I’m concerned about if this is gonna be huge ! If anyone has advice!
I just wish you didn’t speed up this video so much. I kept trying to study it and keep up and it became frustrating. I had all my granny squares made up and was getting confused on how to connect them because your video really went too fast on that part.
Las letras de la traduccion al español no dejan ver el tejido. Que maluco
This is out of a crochet magazine that I own. You’re stealing a crocheter’s pattern. I own the magazine.
Patterns have to be unique to be stolen. This is a very common cardigan construction and granny square design.
