My dads fav Superhero is Silver Surfer. He hasnt read a comic in a long time. He always talks about buying Silver Surfer comics as a kid. So I got this for him for Fathers day in Australia. He lives out of state so Thank you Amazon and Near Mint for the idea... 100% would of bought both of these for myself but just got back from my American trip/San diego Comicon and spent so much money. XL format (a little smaller than these but still larger than regular omnibus), single books collecting both "Fantasy" and "Science" separately in OG colors. Can't wait.

I picked up the Silver Surfer one from this video. It just really wowed me, plus I like it collects the entire run and being done with that edition. Instead of X-Men, I picked up Fantastic Four vol 1. I wanted Kirby in massive oversize more than just one issue and, with a memory in my childhood linking to Fantastic Four, this works out great for that reason alone. Plus, I don't think I would be alright passing that volume up over the other ones listed.

Awesome! I just ordered these two earlier this morning! I've been picking these up during the sales the last few years, so far I have the first volumes of Amazing Spider-Man, The Avengers and The Fantastic Four! I love them!!!
I have both Spider-Man Taschen books, and they are absolutely incredible. I didn’t expect to need another version of something I already own in the Masterworks series, but the experience is completely different. Not necessarily better or worse, just distinct. The only thing missing is that nostalgic old comic smell. The OCT24 Previews will feature a smaller-sized version of the Spider-Man and Avengers library. Depending on the dimensions, I might just have to add it to my collection.
I was waiting for this video and the discount since they announced this sale a week ago. These book are so georgeous. I already have the first Spider-man and the FF. And despite the size these won't fall apart like a couple of DC omnies. Order has beed placed!
I just received my SilverSurfer xxl book a few days ago. $100.00 plus tax is a good deal for the labor day 1/2 offf sale. I bought my other ones from $200.00 to 160.00. Should have waited 😊
I think these books are too heavy for me, but I might dip my toes whenever a real favorit comes along (Proteus and Phoenix storylines please) I always find it interesting saying "restored", when in a case like this I feel the colors/art looks MUCH better in the Taschen edition that the "restored" art in that Omnibus. Thank you for ghe glimpse Omar! EDIT: no hold on, I need that Silver Surfer book NOW !! Omar it looks like the ads are only in the front and back of the issues and not interrupting the stories? Can you confirm that? (I hate ads in the middle of stories.)
An EC Comics Library is on its way by Taschen, starting with Weird Fantasy and Weird Science ! If it has the same reproduction quality as the Marvel line it will be very, very hard to resist ! Hoping they do Crime Suspenstories as well in the EC line !

My only complaint about these books is that they aren’t covered in enough plastic.
Sadly I have to pass on the Surfer book. It's way too large and only space is next to me on the bed. I don't think my wife would be happy about that!
