Astorflex have been my go to boot (chelsea and chukka) in spring and fall for several years now! I've found them comfortable, stylish and sure footed enough for the cobblestones of Rome and Naples! They do pick up dirt and and small stones a bit, and need a bit of Saphir Invulner from time to time, but comfy and easy on the Appian way of walking.
Astorflex make great boots with plenty of rigidity through the midsole which is so rare these days. Everyone seems to think shoes should bend like bananas like Sketchers but I find a more rigid sole provides more support.
You've probably now seen 3 or 4 comments from me across your videos in the past 20 minutes haha. You just pointed me to this vid from another comment. Glad I stumbled onto your channel. Great stuff, man. New subscriber here. Btw I also love the taller lace-up of this same boot. Forget the name. Although now Huckberry doesn't have them listed so they may be discontinued.
Btw not sure if anyone has mentioned it. But your production Quality is top notch. Gotta start doing interviews with boot makers. Would make some great content.
What size did you get? What do you normally wear in tennis shoes and/or boots? Reviews on Huckberry almost universally recommend sizing down. Curious what you think. Along those lines, do they stretch at all? Thank you
I got a size 43 and I normally wear a 10 in sneakers. I haven’t noticed stretching per se but they may stretch this winter when I wear them with thicker socks.
Doing lots of research to buy my first chelsea boot. I do not like the overly dressy boots, and lean more towards an everyday chelsea. What do you all suggest?
@@StrayReviews Ok. Mine look more tan to me versus what looks like a darker brown color on the site. So I emailed, sent pics of the pair I received along with a screenshot from their site of the more brown looking pair for comparison. They sent another pair right away. Opened the box… same color, tan. Oh well, maybe it’s just me. Love the boots regardless.
I would like to add here how helpful and responsive the customer service was for me over at Huckberry. I had a very pleasant experience both through email with Jake and especially over the phone with Justin.

Very nice!👍 They really do live up to their reputation.

I agree. Good support makes a big difference.

Thanks Chad! I missed the lace-up. Sounds really cool. I have their Beenflex and really like it.

Thanks for that. Maybe some day…
Nice review!
Thanks!
Hoping to pick up something from Astorflex in the near future...probably a loafer though! Ha! Thanks, Lee.
Thanks Patrick! This makes two from Astorflex that I own. Good stuff!

I wouldn’t size down. I’m a UK 11 in most brands, a UK 10.5 in a Red Wing, and my Astorflex are a great fitting UK 11.

These are a good option. I like the Thursday Duke too.
Was your pair a lot lighter in color than what is depicted on the website?
Maybe just a little. They were pretty close.

Forgot to mention how much I enjoyed your video. Thanks!
@@WILLBLACMUSIC I've never had a bad experience with their support. Always friendly and helpful.
how are they in the rain?
They're fine for a quick walk from the house to the car, but I wouldn't count on them if I'm going to do much more than that.
Solid 👌👌
