Thanks for watching & make sure to subscribe! x
Been looking forward to this! I'm in year 12 and currently struggling with figuring out how on earth I cover all of the content!
I take AL Eng Lit, in yr 12, and honestly needed this so much. I find it the hardest subject to have a structured revision technique for, compared to, for example, psychology where its very modular with the specific essay plans you have to memorise and condense. Thank you!
Thank you...
I just got my GCSE mock English Literature and I was very disappointed...
But now I’ll follow your advise and hopefully I end up with my desired grade.
GOOD LUCK GCSE STUDENTS!!!
Mocks are usually worse than actual grade - definitely were for me !
Best of luck! Xxx
Good luck 😉
IM SHITTING MYSLEF 4 WEEKS MANNNNN
trying to get through my lectures and the universe has blessed me with this video
Thank you, Lydia, for this video as I'm doing this for A Level this year for year 12, ahhah wish me luckk!

Perfect timing! I have my y12 English lit mock next month and this is gonna help me so much!! Thank you Lydia!! ❤️
Same here! Not looking forward to it 😂 best of luck! X
I had been waiting for this. Thank you so much
This helped so so much, I started eng lit a few months back and was so unsure of how to make revision materials, so thank you😆
Love watching these types of videos. Looking forward to the last video!!😊😊
These revision videos are extremely helpful, even though I am a college student in California, USA. I find them extraordinarily useful with advancement of productivity in my studies.
So so thorough and helpful, thank you!!
I really really ReAlLy needed this! Thanks so much xxxx
thank you so much! finally a study tuber that also does OCR English lit (the most cursed one imo). this was so helpful❤️❤️❤️
nice video lydia i really enjoyed it thanks for uploading
I love you so much,you’re so motivational!❤️
So I live in America and I am taking AP (advanced placement) English lit which is probably the equivalent of your A levels. It’s crazy to me that you know the works going into the exams. All of our poems and prose passages are provided on our exam (besides one essay but we can use any novel of or choice). Honestly your study methods are so helpful even if our exams are so different. I’ve watched your videos for a while now and they are so motivating!
Yay!! Thank you so much Lydia for uploading these revision videos more frequently. They really help me for my upcoming final exams. I really appreciate it, your videos are life savers. 💖😊
Good luck!
@@EllaBrereton Thank you.

Here we go again with the queen😍😍😍

Thank you so much for this! As a fellow English lit A level student, I really struggle with ways of actually revising; this has been so helpful thanks :)
Floral Sunset what exam board are you on?
StudywithMae aqa
I do the same paper 1 texts and exam board as you so this was really helpful xx
I didn’t even take English Literature for A Level (did take English Language though!!) but here to support the channel as ever 💞 it’s just interesting to hear about other subjects tbh

Thank you so much Lydia! These tips were really helpful. I wish I was just doing literature, but at my school there are not a lot of students, so I only had the option to do Lang-lit lol I’m enjoying it though!
I want up update my character summaries as I’ve not done them for poetry so need to get them done. I also struggle to organise my criticism quotes 😬 one method I like to do is a quite bank of every important quote in order of the novel with analysis xx
I also do A Doll’s House, Hamlet and Rossetti’s poems
Love your videos! 😊❤️
omg yes this has made my day ✨⛲️❤️
This was sooo helpful!!!
I’m on OCR too, the grade boundaries are insane 😂
Is it hard coz I want to do Aleve English lit and I have a choice between aqa Edexcel and OCR
Thank you for this video, I start year 12 in September and am doing english lit
In Mauritius we have 8 literature books at A-level....and it called English main and we do our exam on November and it direct by Cambridge.....i love your video and appreciate what's your doing ...love u❤
*about to go to sleep...gets a notification from Lydia* CLICKS SUDDENLY
Beautiful video 😍😍❤️
Love you so much Lydia. You inspire me to study to the best of my abilities and even do it at all.
Like if Lydia motivates you to study
thanks this was very helpful!
Thanks for your advice it would be very helpful for me
students can get access to lit charts as well, they are really useful and if you download the teacher package as well it gives you some great set ups for revision. A membership is about 10 dollars a month and it works great!!!
This video was so so helpful! Do you have the link for the project folder? ♥️✨
they are beautiful mind maps, but I recommend putting them in polly pockets so they are safer.
I had an argument with my English teacher yesterday and was about to give up on English 🤦♀️
i'm doing english lit & lang and the literature section is so difficult 😭 thank you for this video
How did it go
Hello Lydia! This is so much helpful for me! Really, now I am sure that I can achieve very high grades in English Literature.... Thank you very very very very very very much! Bye.... Have a great day..... Lots of love ❤❤❤
And yes best of luck for your exam
So I’m comparing Grapes with Gatsby and I’m OCR as well how are you revising for this exam?? Like for the wide reading context? Have you read any extra books? Any tips would be appreciated
History a level is the killer for me😭😭
Biggest L
Why?
In year 13 (A2) history became difficult to manage because there was a lot of precise information you need to learn to get the top grades and it is 10x more than the content you will receive in first year of a levels. I did ocr and also had to change the essay writing style from year 12 to year 13. The content I studied was the early Stuart’s, Germany and Italy. But with that being said you need to ensure that you keep on top of your revision notes and memorise them from the very beginning because it will help a lot and in year 12 as it is significant that students do well in all of their exams because what you achieve in first year is what universities will determine whether or not they would want to provide you with a place. Whereas I also studied English literature and that was easier because all we had to do is read and analyse books and poetry for the exam.
Afnann .
Sanya Akhtar ohhh alright, thank you so much for letting me know!! I was going to pick it but ended up enrolling for psychology, sociology and English lit💗💕
Thank you! This is really really helpful but how long do you take to do these?

Got my coursework result today I’m on the OCR examboard too, I got 40/40 so now it’s just a final push for the exams! The grade boundaries are so high for the papers it’s so annoying
That's amazing!
Please make a video on how to learn vocabulary
I haven’t started my a level revision yet and I’m sooo scared. I do English lit , Biology and sociology 😭😭💔. I’ve never actually revised properly for anything and now I have like 6 weeks till my first exam and I’m super scared
hey how'd it go?
Anyone doing AQA have any ideas on how to study texts in combination? EG: the comparison of the Poetry Anthology to Gatsby in Paper 1, and comparison of Spies to Birthday Letters in Paper 2. Any help would be much appreciated xxox
Al Louise I compare gatsby and love poems in my spec, my teacher gave us a list of themes and aspects and I went through the anthology to find 3 poems that would match the theme best and 3 key points from gatsby and then made flash cards for each theme and found this really useful x
I'm thinking of doing mini essay plans where I draw links between the texts? X
Life.Of. Zoe Which themes did you use? This sounds really helpful! Thank you for replying xx
Ella B I’ll try this! Thanks! xx
@@Alice-ff1gx No problem glad I could help x
Omg you do like most of what I do but we do the immigrant experience instead of gatsby :)
I Loved this vid
I have 30 war poems and 15 love poems to revise and I’m honestly just lost but this video is so useful! English lit at a level is so hard to revise but this video is so useful and reassuring that there is a way 😂 thank you! Xxx
thanks sis

Am I the only one who loves English literature?
What's more useful for a psychology or law degree as a level English lit or English lang? (Can anyone answeer)
I'm not sure about psychology but for law from everything I've heard English Lit is better. It's a facilitating subject that many of the top universities like. But if you might not be able to get as as good grade as u would in lang than choose lang not lit. Definitely don't take law a level. I went to a university and the lady their who I asked told me they'd rather u didn't have law and it's not as vigorous as some of the other a levels out there that u could be doing. Hope I helped:)
Heyy ❣️🍃
About to go into year 13 and I’m still on a B/C for OCR English 😭 need an A so I’ve gotta get it together ASAP
