29:35 "How do I not die to the Annex". I think you were supposed to go for the throat the floodpits drowner and Tear Asunder your own Annex. Odds are that doesn't let you win, but I was expecting that play. Maybe that's wrong though. I'm more of a limited player.
As if there is really a difference between a bronze and mythic rank players 😂 same decks, same mistakes, it’s nothing but a sticker to make you feel better
@@jadynstargel2828I think that’s where there is quite the difference. I tend to grind to mythic each season and notice a pretty drastic change in Diamond/Mythic.
At 28:00 on 5 life with only an untapped forest you’re dead on board to the opponents restless reef and flood pits drowner. instead of swinging for lethal he attacked your Liliana.
It's kind of funny seeing the massive hype for Llanowar Elves coming back to standard, and I immediately realized I don't want them in my lists for a couple of reasons, and I'm now seeing some top players testing them and immediately cutting them or often sideboarding them out lol. I guess the opportunity cost is too high for a card you really only want turn one?
Lanowar Elves are great in this list, being able to drop a turn 2 Annex or Glissa is the best play this deck makes, and it's fine if you are sideing out some number of them post board which is the strength of golgari decks is they have the most versatile side board cards. Also if the elves eat a removal spell some of the time it is a trade up when they spend 2 mana to kill your 1 mana play..if your Golgari list doesn't have 4 lanowar Elves mainboard you are doing it wrong....
Nice play on words there lol... kidding aside ihave been loving Vivien Reid in he current meta .. there are never a shortage of enchantment/artifact/fliers targets for it, it is even fine to run a single mainboard and one in the side ..
Love spinner in limited but just doesn't make the cut in standard, would like to be proved wrong on this as it is one of the few good green cards in foundations limited...
I didn't realize that Archfiend of the Dross' ability would trigger when it and a creature the opponent controls both die at the same time. Magic is so complex!

I have and it works out so much better. Yeah the loss of 2 life from their creature dying is nice but the possibility of losing from your own creature forcing you to waste a spot removal makes it fall short. It also adds strategic value cuz DD can remove creatures on its own, and it causes opponents to really think about what they want to do for maintaining their board state. Then there’s possibly it going from a 6/6 to a potential 8/8, or even 9/9 which has happened with me a couple of times. It just has so many upsides that Archie is now useless in the current meta. You can still make it work in the late game, but DD adds a ton of value in both the early game and late game
@@adaiahclark5250 I disagree that it's such a straightforward upgrade. I like DD in matchups where you really want to block like red or dimir since you will kill a creature either way and you won't die to your own demon while holding back (tho archfiend turns the corner much faster once you start attacking). But I think it's alot worse into matchups where you want to aggressively push damage or the opponent is making tokens. It's alot worse into caretakers talent decks and in the golgari mirrors they can just sac dreadknights to draw extra cards and keep your demon tapped. I think there's a good argument for both and could see people choosing based on their expected meta.
I have cast a ton of desecration demons.. 10 years ago lol.. it was great in its original standard hey day, but it is not good enough now, there are so many token generators in some of the top decks they can just keep tapping it down and it just sits there and does nothing and eventually eats a go for the throat maybe, It does mitigate the annex triggers but it's hard to invest 4 mana into a do nothing that can't attack or block almost never.. I had high hopes for it and tested it briefly but it quickly became apparent it's just a downgrade compared to Archfiend... ( I do have fond memories of it in the black devotion and orZhov control decks back in RTR time frame 2015 /2016 I think..)
Heres my decklist. I been playing in standard. 3 chart a course , 3 impulse, 3 artists talent, 1 lively dirge, 1 bitter reunion, 4 highway robbery, 2 pyroclasm, 1 lightning helix, 4 seize the spoils, 2 plan the heist, 2 invasion of arcavious, 3 invasion of tolvada, 3 campus renovation, 1 thousand year storm, 1 atraxa, 4 omniscience 22 lands. sb archdruids charm, helix, stoke the flames, plan the heist. This deck can win as early as turn 4. Draw my whole deck them play thousand year storm and helix for lethal triggers. Very cool havent seen anyone else play it. You cheat in omni and then just win. However, in best of 1 it seems better. As in bo3 they have tons of gy hate it seems.
I truly hate Dross in this kind of Goldgagi Mid pile. I love these little decks, I truly find them fun, but if you are running that level of ramp you can afford to play heavvy 5-7 finishers. You Can Thread in an Aclazotz or more appropriately in my opinion a planeswalker threat in Nissa Ascended. If you are worried about annex death in these decks, I think many people forget , BRAIDS is in this format.
Desecration Demon seems like something to try in that slot. I don't know if it's better or worse, but it at least doesn't kill you in 3 turns, and still provides a good curve out threat after Unholy Annex is deployed.
my deck would be: overgrown battlement axebane guardian wall of roots awakening zone sandwurm convergence call to the grave helldozer steelbane hydra. casualties of war. 24 lands and 4 of these would be westvale abbey. the deck can generate alot of tokens which works well with call to the grave. and also alot of mana which works well with helldozer, steelbane hydra, and westvale abbey.
Very nice high level bronze league games. It would be more efficient if you actually played against bots so you dont have to wait and complete your weekly game quote for the channel
You don’t think it woulda been more efficient for you to just not waste a couple minutes of your life writing out this nonsense? Had to get in your weekly quota of hate tho ya?
@@knife1406i mean he’s not wrong though. First opponent ran his Kaito straight up unto Glissa and failed to counter the food activation for lethal. My thoughts exactly. Wouldve bought at least a turn
maybe a traditional standard event would be better? bronze gameplay isn't the most compelling.
I would really like to see some event videos from someone.

I was here for the SB logic, hearing what's the plan for in/outs. And why. Apparently that data is bad in bronze?

Nice to see standard content with it being standard RCQ season. Hope we get more of this format.
Good news, it actually is standard RCQ season!

Yea was wondering about that play from the opponent too, maybe not used to playing the reef.
Love how every deck in bronze is just net deck tier 1 stock lists
How do we feel about soulstone sanctuary as an additional demon?
I'm leaning golgari as well. I really liked the golgari ramp lists from worlds.
Thanks for the video. What do you think of Scavenging Ooze in Golgari Midrange ?

diamond or high mythic otherwise it doesnt count either lol :D

Only on BO1. Not BO3
@tasteoftacos thanks man for clarifying it for me:)
my deck would be:
overgrown battlement
axebane guardian
wall of roots
awakening zone
sandwurm convergence
call to the grave
helldozer
steelbane hydra.
casualties of war.
24 lands and 4 of these would be westvale abbey.
the deck can generate alot of tokens which works well with call to the grave. and also alot of mana which works well with helldozer, steelbane hydra, and westvale abbey.
my deck would be 20 mountains and 40 lightning bolts

I think people need to realize that Archfiend is not strong enough to play in fair midrange piles. Its a Demon Tribal payoff.
It is a pretty menacing threat though, with what would you replace it?
