I feel like Luke was a better partner for Lorelai and was the person she could always count on but I feel like Christopher understood Lorelai in a way that Luke never could. It was a different type of connection
This. Chris saw through Lorelai's wild antics. He can figure out her volumes of speech which Luke didn't. Luke is lovely but he just grunts mostly. With Chris and Lorelai, you see that there is a whole history inbetween them. There was a scene where Sherry and Chris visits Stars Hollow and Sherry wanted to take Rory shopping and asked Lorelai. Lorelai warned Rory via a telephone call and if Rory agreed on it she had to say Okay Leonardo something. When Sherry and Chris was readying to leave the house, Chris said: I'll see you tonight Leonardo. That was that moment.
So well put. Him and Lorelai are just so in sync when it comes to their banter, their background and chemistry. He gets her quirks and references where it’s a bit lost on Luke. I always wanted them to work out but when she did marry him she was in love with Luke. Luke was a more caring and reliable partner for her.
Sometimes the best partner is someone who balances you out a little. With Chris and Lorelai Lorelai would need to always be the more responsible and mature one and it would have worn off her playful nature in time. Lorelai has had her fair share of independence and being responsible already, with Luke she can just be herself and let him take care of things 💕🦋

Also he was big in shaping the development of Rory and Lorelai

Lmbo Same 😂 I’m still a Christopher stan. I totally get why he had to be unlikable. The premise of the show was single mom raising her daughter after walking away from her life, but I always felt like him and Lorelai had far better actual chemistry and Lorelai and Luke. 🤷🏾♀️
I’ve never seen a mans journey from boyhood into manhood portrayed so accurately than that of Christopher’s character on Gilmore Girls. At the beginning he’s just chasing things that he likes and feel good, without taking into account what his responsibilities are (this is represented by the motorbike). Then he makes the journey into manhood, much to the dismay of Lorelai he makes that journey with another women. He represents so many men who are just that little bit slower to grow up and stop fighting against the system. I loved his character and I enjoyed seeing him in the reboot. He may have not taught his daughter the things he wanted to but her definitely taught he a lot about life.
Christopher 100% had his faults, but I always loved him. His chemistry was insane with rory and Lorelei. I always thought he was the natural pairing for Lorelei as well. He could keep up with her, he supported her in everything, and when they were together he never made her question his love for her. I don't hate Luke really, but they never felt long term enough I guess. He was in love with her for years, but never would commit. Most importantly he didn't stick up for Lorelei when April came into the picture.
Agree! I was so happy when Lorelei and Chris came together at the end (even though it didn’t last). They go along so well they are very similar and their past and memories connect them so well. I love Luke but I never liked him with Lorelei. He’s too different
Completely agree!! I’m very much Team Christopher - he seemed to have the best chemistry with Lorelai and he wanted to be better for her. I’ve never forgiven Luke for the way he handled the April thing.
@@edensylvester13 he definitely did after him and Lorelei got together after Luke and her spilt after the reconciliation marriage party. The reason it didn’t work out between Chris and Lorelei was that she was still in love with Luke. If there was no Luke she would’ve been with Chris. At least for longer :)
I loved both Luke AND Christopher. They both had a chemistry with Lorelei on a different level. Both were good to her both had good and bad timing with certain moments in her life, neither were perfect human beings but they sort of just fit with her. I don't know, I had a tough time for a while figuring out who to root for with those two! They were both attractive and could both be sweet and supportive but like most humans neither had it all figured out and messed up sometimes. It made for good TV, both were great possibilities for her and it made it fun to watch to see if she ultimately made a choice.
Even though in the beginning Chris wasn't my favorite character, by the end of the show I kinda felt bad for him. He wasn't a bad guy. Yes, it took a while for him to get his life together and after inheriting all that money was the push he needed to be able to provide for his daughters... Christopher really loved Lorelei but their love was more of a friendship love. Kinda feels like him not having a big part in the reboot was a bit to harsh but since he was gone most of Rory's life, it makes sense that they went back to their old ways. It's just such a great show and even though I didn't become a big fan until 2005 (their 4th/ 5th season), I'm happy to have had the opportunity to watch the show on TV one episode at a time.
This show is so good to me bc let me live in a world where I’d love to live, sharing my time with people that I’d love to share. It’s kind of my ideal of life. In between hard work days, I set at my sofa and watched it as my little lovely moments. ❤️

Just the fact, that 3 weeks after release of this video with supporting actor of a show that ended 15 years ago shows how much impact it still has. Love ❤️.
I think ASP did a great job casting these characters not just based off of their acting skills and personality, but on how a character would look based off of their environment and circumstances of their life. For example: Michel is very clean cut and moves very sharply and clean. Suki is very reckless and fun and Melissa McCarthy can capture her wacky character just by using simple facial expressions. I love especially how Alexis Bledel looks like she could be Lauren Graham and David Stucliffe’s daughter. (Same hair color, complexion, Lauren and Alexis’s eyes, the way they move, etc.)
He really isn't. He supported the terrorists who invaded the Capitol. During the original run of GG, he had a habit of stalking girls on social media sites. He is a sleazebag all the way around.
Love his interview, also loved Christopher and can't decide until today whether I feel Luke or Chris is the one for Lorelai!♥️ Chris and Loreai just had such a long story together and it was magical between them! You could feel the magic through the screen. They knew each other so well. So still cant decide. Also Chris was hot! And as David said it in the interview, they all killed it in the original! Also Chris killed it!
You mean like for her future choices in terms of her grandparents and her education? Yeah she was a turning back to what her mother sadly dismissed altogether.
Divid did a Great job.He was Christopher.II do agree with him that the scenes between Lauren and Kelly Bishop were amazing. All the actors in that show I enjoyed immensely. Sean gunn(kirk)anyone
I think people attack Christopher a little too much. Yes, he was inmature and had his flaws and messed up A LOT haha but I think he always had a good intention on whatever he did. I really wanted him and Lorelai to work out but you know, not everything is perfect haha
I loved Chris’ journey and development over the whole show and movies. Initially he was like many young men are and it’s so cool to see him finding his way and growing into this responsible man. I prefer Luke for Lorelei but I was so happy when Lorelei and him got together (towards the end). It was so cute to see their connection because of their memories that will forever connect them
I always wanted Lorelai to get back with Chris. It was so perfect.. Then the writers had to screw it up. They had such great chemistry. Luke is great but her connection with Chris was amazing.
I just watched the RUclips video of Sting singing "All for love" along with Bryan Adams and Rod Stewart. Sting's profile seems amazingly like "Christopher" 's!
I despised Christopher’s character just based on the fact he was hardly there for Rory as a father and even when he was present, it was though he wasn’t present. His character also let down Rory and Lorelai way too many times and expected everyone to just fall at his feet but now I’m more accepting of Christopher’s character but I still don’t like his character fully so🤷🏻♀️
i know the gilmore guys (dean, jess, logan, tristan, marty, etc.) should be the ones i keep my eyes on as im young and all but i couldn't help but stray a bit to eye on rory's dad. he was dreamy lol
he really had some growing up to do in the show. i feel like he kinda took advantage of Lorelei when she was at her weakest. but then again lorelei would always run to him anyway
I watched this interview and the next episode I watched Rory also said "Gilmore Girls" in a line. It was some episode around the first half of the 5th season I think.
They may have chemiatry but thats all they had. Chris lived in the past and never really understood Lorelai. He wasnt very reliable either. Luke kept Lorelai grounded and understood her more.
His latest role is acting as a therapist on social media, a worse Jordan Peterson, without the education, or credentials. Andrew Tate recently hired him to play his therapist on RUclips. Somehow, I don't think it's going to be on his IMDB as a credit. 🥴
i always wanted chris and lor to end up together. I just dont think Luke was that great he always had double standards with lorelai on why he would get mad at her but also keep secrets but god forbid lorelai get mad at luke for being mad or irrational or secrative. I think its just because Chris and Lorelai had such great chemistry it felt too real that they needed to be together
frankly they all had their flaws. luke was a good guy so was chris. but what if she married max? r stayed w/ jason? or that guy from her business classes who was young? why did her and luke wait so long to tie the knot?
No Lorelai was right to not go through with the wedding. He was the worst partner for him. He couldn't show up at the hospital when Rory and Lorelai needed him the most.
Luke was hest for her. Chris wasn't strong enough. However, I don't feel Lorelai was good enough for Luke. He was extra special and deserved someone less selfish.
@@Estelle738l I thought Luke was a huge stick in the mud and a total curmudgeon. Then, he totally lied to Lorelai about April. Just my opinion about a bunch of fictional characters.
Luke was until they messed his character up by lying to her about April and then postponing the wedding. Seemed totally out of character for a man that waited and waited for her
In my opinion Chris was an incredibly intoxicating character for both the show and for Lorelai. I feel like in every scene he and Lorelai were in he was always pressuring her into something or She would just be there because she feels bad for him. Yes, In the first 3 to 4 seasons They were Quite a match, He understood her like no other. After that their whole close friendship kinda fell apart. He Became a child, Jeez he even cheated on Sherry.Yes Lorelai is to blame as - well but she was sure that he would divorce her later. Sherry was an amazing girlfriend and wife and Christopher had a chance with Lorelai while he did. Unfortunately, He lost it . He lost track of time and ended up with nothing. What he did to Lorelai at Emily and Richard’s wedding was full on absurd. I had not even a hint of sympathy for his character. Not only that but he had no character depth whatsoever, He never grew up. He remained a child throughout the seasons. Let me now move on to Luke. Personally I think Luke was and IS perfect for Lorelai He loved her like no other man If you don’t believe me Listen to the gossip , He was waiting for her to turn around for 9 years straight. He understood her playful banter and nervous breakdowns,Equally so Lorelai soon felt he was the perfect one for her and sobbed the worst during her first breakup with him. I feel like Lorelai thoight and STILL thinks he is the perfect man for her. I will now wrap up my points. If you still don’t agree with me I kindly request you to think about a healthy relationship before you support someone like Christopher.
#teamchristopher always and the netflix eps. just confirmed my worries about luke with lorelai. chris and lorelai had great chemistry and communication; it was even interesting to watch them fight. Their temperament, shared interests and transparency w/each other made them the better match and would have pushed each other to grow (even if i loved luke and he's objectively speaking the better man)
Chris was a flake Lorelai could bever rely on hin and he couldn't even be there for Lorelai and Rory when they needsd him thd most. Luke dropped everything to make sure Lorelai and Rory needed anything when Richard was in ths hospital. Where was Chris at.
@@lauriecarson6483 thats exactly why i said i love luke and he's objectively the better man. However Lorelai is not a prize to be had by the man w the longest laundry list of quality's, she should be with whomever is the better fit to her own personality, as an equally flawed, quirky character; Luke acts often as her enabler, by doing everything she wants. Chris grew out of being a flake; by the end of the show he had been a single parent himself for a time and stepped up to support Rory and unburden Lorelai and be a good partner; whereas Luke and Lorelai still had the same communication issues in the revival, with the same passive aggressive coping mechanisms and somewhat arrested development in their life plans (e.g. feeling unfulfilled, having off-limit topics as if they still had separate lives and not having "decided" whether they wanted kids in their late 40's)

He wasn’t a father at all in the beginning, but, I believe he did actually become a good one. However, we was a terrible partner, at least for Lorelai
@@ellenm2509 he didn't become a good father to Gigi it took slot of work to get there
Or husband
Love girlmore girls ❤️💖2020
Love his interview, also loved Christopher and can't decide until today whether I feel Luke or Chris is the one for Lorelai!♥️ Chris and Loreai just had such a long story together and it was magical between them! You could feel the magic through the screen. They knew each other so well. So still cant decide. Also Chris was hot! And as David said it in the interview, they all killed it in the original! Also Chris killed it!
I thought Christopher was such an important presence for Rory in character development.
You mean like for her future choices in terms of her grandparents and her education? Yeah she was a turning back to what her mother sadly dismissed altogether.
Are we watching the same show. Chris was never in Rory's life
@@lauriecarson6483 Exactly my point. I didn't necessarily mean it was a positive presence.
He really has a smiling face (or eyes?) 😀👍
Luke is endgame but I always really liked him too. He matured quite well in the end.
Chris did not matured
I've always wanted Luke and Loreili to be TOGETHER ❤️!!!!!!!
WOW, he looks GREAT!
“actor David Sutcliffe says he didn't storm U.S. Capitol, but praises 'Patriot' who did”
One of the MOST HANDSOME MAN alive! 😍😍😍💕💕💕🤗😘❤️❤️❤️
I’m new to watching the Gilmore girls. I love it!
I like all the characters.
Love see a new come back for girlmore girls see how was roly baby belong to in the end 2020
Oh really
Your so wrong if he really wanted the marriage to work out he wouldnt have ignored Lorelais calls and be there for her and Rory.
I loved Chris’ journey and development over the whole show and movies. Initially he was like many young men are and it’s so cool to see him finding his way and growing into this responsible man. I prefer Luke for Lorelei but I was so happy when Lorelei and him got together (towards the end). It was so cute to see their connection because of their memories that will forever connect them
What journey and development
Este actor es guapisiiimooo
I always wanted Lorelai to get back with Chris. It was so perfect.. Then the writers had to screw it up. They had such great chemistry. Luke is great but her connection with Chris was amazing.
How where they perfect
OMG I am from Panamá no one really mentions my country EVER !
Es la 4 vez que veo toda la serie pero nunca me canso esto marco mi infancia i love girlmore girls
Yay! Panama! Great character on Gilore Girls
I’m getting Frank Gallagher vibes here
PLEASSEEE
I just watched the RUclips video of Sting singing "All for love" along with Bryan Adams and Rod Stewart. Sting's profile seems amazingly like "Christopher" 's!
Fun fact Chris Pine auditioned for the role of Christopher Hayden.... I could see him as Christopher Hayden.
I can see it too, but he was too young back then.
he never aged 😳
Winona Ryder ...
Yes, he did
He did, but it suits him
I’m SOBBING
Anyone else think he looks like William H Macy now? 😂
Oh really, what could be your reason for saying that😮
Not to mention the whole blaming Lorelai for his own insecurities about her past relationship
Look, it's Hums while he pees guy :P
😂😂😂
sweet !!
Christopher and Lorelei should have ended up together. Luke was such a grump.
Love
He's not the only one to say "Gilmore girls" on the show. Rory does, definitely.
only in year in a life
@@brookemuzzatti9710 season 6, episode 11
Rory says it when they get back from Atlantic City after her 21st birthday as they walk into Luke's
Thank you for viewing and commenting
I loved Christopher and Lorelai together. I didn't buy their divorce. It felt really forced and not believable at all.
Luke and Lorelai FOREVER!!!!!!
Did they interview the entire cast?
Absolutely despised the character, loved this interview and now I love the actor David🖤
I rooted for Chris and Lorelai cuz they knew each other so well💔but Luke was the right fit
Thank you for your continuous support
They had hisory but they where so worng. Chris always lived in the past. Luke was a better fit for Lorelai.
This man did NOT age
I watched this interview and the next episode I watched Rory also said "Gilmore Girls" in a line. It was some episode around the first half of the 5th season I think.
“Oh my if it isn’t those lovely Gilmore Girls!”
If I mistake and he didn't say he was the only he said he was the first to say Gilmore Girls
I rewatched it . Yeah he said he was the only person to say it.
as im watching david talk about his character, i keep picturing it as a dad talking about his son HAHAH
Thank you for viewing and commenting
Team Christopher for life
I was always rooting for Chris and Lorelei....I loved them together.
Chris and Lorelei were always endgame in my heart.
The music audio is so off putting in the background :(
Thank you for viewing and commenting
I’ve always felt that Christopher had better chemistry with Lorelai than Luke
You seems to have a positive energy which I’m kind of attracted to😮
They may have chemiatry but thats all they had. Chris lived in the past and never really understood Lorelai. He wasnt very reliable either. Luke kept Lorelai grounded and understood her more.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
His latest role is acting as a therapist on social media, a worse Jordan Peterson, without the education, or credentials. Andrew Tate recently hired him to play his therapist on RUclips. Somehow, I don't think it's going to be on his IMDB as a credit. 🥴
Don't hate on me but IDK I just wanted Lorelai and Christopher to end up together 😭
To bad he was the worst husband for Lorelai.
I love Christopher Hayden but this actor lost my respect when he defended the thugs of the Jan 6th Capitol Riot and called them patriots 😒
Dave said "RORY" was fun to work with ...I think he forgot to say Alexis 😊👌🏻❤
i always wanted chris and lor to end up together.
Are we watching the same show. Who comes and goes and make promises he cant keep oh yeah thats Chris
Where is David today
Chris was so hot! Personally, not digging the beard. But he’s still handsome, I wouldn’t kick him out of bed.
I love Chris in the show Lorelai was crazy to let this one go and not go through with the wedding/ marriage.
No Lorelai was right to not go through with the wedding. He was the worst partner for him. He couldn't show up at the hospital when Rory and Lorelai needed him the most.
I always thought he suited Lorelei the best
Not at all.
Agreed!
@@eva44940 reread what you wrote cause you said you had worries about Luke and Lorelai. And yoh go on about Chris and Lorleai how you love them together
lorelie and luke seemed like brother and sister relationship.. chris and lorelai were the best. they had that deep romance.
no Chris and Lorelai wanst the best. Chris couldn't be there for Lorelai when she needed him the most. Luke dropped everything and went to check on Lorelai and Rory. Chris couldn't be bothered.
