This is high key the best analytical work I've seen regarding Ezran. Incredibly well put together, and suchgreat ideas as well! No joke, we need more of this in the community, since I feel there is a shortage of really looking at characters beyond what we see on screen. I'm genuinely impressed, and this has made me think of so many more things I hope they tackle in the writing of Ezran as a character. I've been worried about S7 apparently being Ezran focused, but if they're able to portray these inner conflicts as well as you've described, there might be hope! Anyway, love the content, and the fact bait left Ezran is so unecessarily sad :/
Thank you so much for the kind words! It means a lot to hear that you enjoyed the analysis and that it resonated with you. I’ve been a bit nervous about S7 focusing on Ezran too, (hoping not to be disappointed), but I’m hopeful they’ll explore his inner struggles in a meaningful way. Anyway, I’m so glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching!😄
I feel like Ezran and in return Zim have both been a bit neglected by the writers. We need to see them both harness the power they have. (Especially Zim who is literally the title of the show, but is kind of weak at the moment)
The main issue with Ezran is that he constantly has to learn that Words won’t be enough to pacify the other side, and it makes him the most underdeveloped of the main cast
In this video, we explore the potential for Ezran to take a darker path in the final season of The Dragon Prince. Could the pressures of leadership and war push him to embrace darker choices? Join us as we dive into Ezran’s character journey, examine key moments from past seasons, and discuss what a dark arc might mean for the future of Xadia and the kingdom of Katolis. [00:00] Introduction and Ezran’s Journey [01:00] The Weight of Loss [02:15] Growing Isolation [03:25] Loss of Home and Kingdom [04:25] Speculating on Ezran’s Final Arc
It is true that Ezran has been through a lot of emotional hardships, even a little too much for his young age. And he will again face something emotionally heavy : his castle destroyed, a people who may less trust him, Runaan of freed, Aaravos of freed (even if he doesn’t know yet)... Wooh ! Too many, too ! He will certainly enter a phase of anger towards himself, and unfortunately in those moments... he may get angry with his entourage. To Callum, because he freed Runaan without telling him before, to Rayla, because she will protect Runaan, perhaps to Soren for having released his father without his consent... Bref, to everyone, for all and anything. But I think someone will remind him of his own words at the ceremony in season 4 in Valley of the Brave or will remind him that he is also friends with the person who ordered the assassination of his father. Someone will remind him that he is capable of forgiveness. So what will he do at that time ? Ezran is a wise boy. Even if he is angry with his entourage, he will go and apologize to them. After all, everyone has a right to a moment of intense emotions ? Once the wave is over, it will be better for the next. (I want this and I hope this. Pleaaase, that love and tenderness return to this world, and the song "Zombie" stops playing in my head ! 😭🙏🙏)
He will likely decide to make some choices that are dark for his known character, but I think Aanya will bring him back to a clearer mind cause she is older and has ruled longer than him. Edit: I think Callum will be very there to help him, knowing very well Ezran needs him and he has been concentrating on his relationship with Rayla. I love the idea of Ez getting the screen time he deserves.
I don't think Ezran is really going to be dark. He will make some questionable decisions, but I don't think he is really going to travel the dark path. I think Callum, Rayla, Aunt amaya and Aunt janai will protect him. Callum on the other hand? It's already hinted more than once that he will be falling to the darkside. I do hope Ezran gets some more screentime. Just keeping him locked up in the castle isn't enough. After learning his dad died, he always is on the side unless their is a real battle. I understand he needs to rule, but still. He deserves the spotlight.
I was so be down for that, Hannah! I feel like he's been neglected ever since the show came back from the hiatus so I would love for him to get some time in the spotlight!
Season 7 has already a lot of content. Therefore I am not expecting much. The Dragon prince has the problem that it resolves anything interesting in the most boring way. S4 ending: Viren has finally the staff back. What will he do in S5? Oh he is spending the whole season in a coma. But the villains have the map and are now one step ahead of the heroes. Oh Claudias group is lost at the start of the season and our heroes just ask the next archdragon. S5 ending: karim has finally an army. The sunfire plot may be getting stakes. Oh karim is still a joke and even sol regem leaves this plotline for a better plotline. For s7 I expect that the katolis is destroyed plotline is resolved in a similar manner. Either Duren or Xadia will help them. Katolis has helped Duren in s2 and the sunfire elves in pre s4.
Love your channel and videos but I totally disagree on this one. There simply isn't enough time left to do a major shift for Ezran in the final season. It's more likely that someone else will try to convince Ezran that his pacifism led to the tragedy, and Ezran may entertain the notion for an episode or two near the start of the season, but I think ultimately he will hold onto his faith in his path. I have believed since S1 that the title 'The Dragon Prince' refers to Ezran, not Zym, and that ultimately the entire resolution of all the show's conflicts will hinge on his choices, and how better to show that in the final season than for Ezran to refuse to go down the path of war and revenge that destroyed so many lives, including those of his parents, Viren etc? I think Ultimately Ezran's story will be a simple one, about holding onto compassion and love even in the face of tragedy and terror.
I totally get where you're coming from, and I actually agree that it's really likely Ezran will stick to his pacifism in the end. I can see the show going in that direction, especially with how central his compassion has been throughout the series. That said, I just love speculating about different possibilities that could make things more complex or interesting, even if they might not happen! But yeah, you're probably right!
Maybe he needs to be moee assertife, Aaravos is pushing him to ssk Xadia for reparations, perhaps lesding him to ask zuveia and dor Zubeia to show hkw she really feels abkut Ezersn as a ruler. Does she see him as an equal or as someone benesth her, is he an inferiornbeing or her son's best friend?

I really feel that. When the show is finally wrapped up I am sure I'll have a lot to say and Zym especially is a big part of that
The main issue with Ezran is that he constantly has to learn that Words won’t be enough to pacify the other side, and it makes him the most underdeveloped of the main cast
That would be interesting, he may negative feelings towards Runaan but after the brief time I do think they’ll eventually become good friends.

HEY VIRROW! I love your content man, keep it up!!
Thanks Autumn!! 😄
Thanks for the words of encouragement 🙏😊
@@Virrow I'm subbing because you make me laugh at not even funny things
i definitely believe Ezran is going to have darker thoughts this season

3:07? Huh? Sneezles went with Callum. Bait is still with Ezran.
That's valid I think I was mixing up the first part of season 5 with this season lol 🤣
The Boys Each Get A Baitling, Callum Gets A Baitling, Soren Gets A Baitling And Ezran Gets A Baitling Plus Bait! 😅
Season 7 Will Be Focused On Ezran.

What if Ezeran becomes a dark mage, he not only becomes stronger but he befomes willong to use morally questionably tools to achieve his goals.

IDK. It may if started with Ezran not forgiving Viren even though he forgave Zubeia who ordered his father's death & Avizandum who killed his mother.
