- In this video, I am demonstrating the Mercedes Benz bursary application process and advising potential applicants on the information required and how to navigate the application portal.
The deadline for this bursary is set for the 26th January 2024.

Under education i will do my first year this year so what should i put because i have not yet registered....
Your education level will be senior certificate. The section reads “list the educational experiences below, starting with the most relevant education”. If you completed matric in 2023, senior certificate will be the latest and relevant information you will include. Please put in the correct dates to ensure the administrator is aware that you completed matric.

Hello sir.If you're a foreign national that will study with a student visa,where do you click? because the only options are for people with work visa or no work visa.And does clicking on the no work visa option put you at a disadvantage?

On education, if you have completed your first year, are you supposed to choose NQF 5 as your level of qualification, choose a date you are expected to graduate, and tick the anticipated graduation date option if you are going to graduate in 2025?
Yes, I’d rather choose NQF5 over matric. It goes you no longer a first year student or entrant. Put in the expected graduation date as well. All of the best.

good evening, i would like to ask in regards to the visa, they is only an option for work visa. do i select the work visa option since it does not appear to have the study visa option
Hi I put in matric in my highest qualification but I have completed my first year. Is there anything I can do to change that? But at the end where I need to attach documents I did put in my first year results so I don't know if it's going to work
Your highest qualification will be first year (NQF-5). If you already submitted your application, you can’t change anything now. I’m keeping thumbs for you.
I did get on to my email where they said I could be able to click there and review my candidate file and was able to change
It is rather strange that you can change your information after you have submitted. But I’m also happy to hear that you can change information that you have incorrectly inserted or omitted.

Once you are selected, all details pertaining to payment and payment schedules will be shared with you. The main focus now is getting that bursary.
Is it necessary to create a cover letter for the CV and a cover letter for the bursary like most bursaries do too?

Yes. You can apply.
by the options of highest completed qualification, theres no option for nsc, i only see Senior certificate , should i select that one?
Yes state NSC

Yes. Start applying the moment you are in matric

Nope. Once you submit, you can’t go back. Make sure you are 100% certain your information is accurate before pressing submit. Ask me more questions before you submit.
I was double matric last year just got my result
On the education section which one should i write between the University i applied at or my High school i will be doing my first year this year

If you are in Matric, upload your matric September exam results. Or wait until you get your results and then you submit your application. I believe the deadline is the 26th Jan.
Good evening sir! Regarding your question, is it possible for me to be selected if I apply for the Mercedes Benz Bursary with a 59% average on my Matric results but a 70% on my Academic records?
You are now applying for funding for your second year at varsity. Your tertiary results will count more instead of your matric results.

Your highest qualification would be technically matric but because you actually completed your 1st year (which is now NQF 5) - rather put in your university information as they will see you are applying for funding for your second year.

Hi there. Your highest qualification will be grade 12. The system doesn’t differentiate between first year, second years, etc. technically your highest qualification is first year but it doesn’t hold enough credits to be recognised as a certificate or qualification yet. Therefore, grade 12 is your highest qualification.
There by education is it not necessary to add high school information?
I’d encourage you to add your high school information to make your application much more credible.

Yes. Your second year will be your highest qualification. Second year will be NQF 6.

This bursary does not state you need to work it back or pay it back. However, it can lead to a job opportunity at Mercedes Benz if you do well and complete your studies in time with high marks. A few of my bursar colleagues got jobs at Nedbank (I got a bursary from Nedbank at the time when I was studying). I hope you get selected and I wish you all the best.

Where I'm asked what is my highest completed qualification? Currently I'm waiting for the results to come out and I intended to select my grade 11 highest completed qualification, but it doesn't appear in the application process. What should I do? Cause the completed qualifications appear is matric, trade certificate and so on.
@@banelewise1868 hi. Your highest education level will basically be matric. My suggestion is to wait until you get your results tomorrow and then continue with your application by placing the results where required on the system. If you pass tomorrow (in which you will), you state grade 12 as your highest education level. The application closes on the 26th, you’d have a week left from tomorrow. Hope this helps.

If you going to second year, then first details are sufficient. You’d use matric marks if you were going to first year

Have you completed matric in 2023? Wait until you get your results and if you have passed, your highest will be grade 12. The bursary closes after the results are released so you got some time to complete the bursary application.

You will add your matric marks. Currently if you waiting on your results. Don’t submit the application yet, wait for your marks and then submit afterwards. The application closes on the 26th Jan.
If I forgot to sent my transcript under files can I still get de bursary (will be doing third year )

If you forgot to upload your transcripts, I’d suggest redoing the application with a new email address. You might not even be considered as it is a requirement to upload all documents. I’m hoping you can do this.

Hello Sir ,and thank you for your video ,I am from Sudan and I got an acceptance in a Masters program ,however now because of the war that started in my country I won't be able to pay for it ,can you please guide on getting a funding for that , I even got a 50% discount already from the University that accepted me .

A resume is a CV. Resume is the American version of CV.

Probably 2-3 weeks after the deadline date.

How do I attach cv and id & also academic record help
The last section on attachments. You need to upload each document separately. You need to indicate which document it is on the comment.
I’ve uploaded my grade 12 September results
And am waiting for my results so the bursary will be able to access my final matric results to make final decision? Or will I have to attach it via email?
Should you be selected, you will be prompted to share your final matric marks. The bursars are aware of the late release of matric results therefore on the website, they ask for Matric Sep term results.
