This version was only avaliable in France, due to Shuki Levy's popularity over there as a singer/songwriter. It was never made avaliable anywhere else, the same with a few other soundtracks of his.
@SebRhade I totally agree. And not only for cartoons, all series now lack themes, or either they're crap. Not like the 70's and 80s where even daytiem dramas (!) had great ones.
You said that two years ago and NOTHING HAS CHANGED! Modern cartoons and their non-existent theme songs suck while the '80s cartoons and theme songs will always be the best!!! Nothing comes close!
I am going to cosplay as Jayce (from Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors) during this year's Space City Comic Con (while at NRG Center in Houston, TX) Whitney Lemay should be Princess Kiandra (from a episode of the animated series) My pink Ford Mustang should be modified to be a weapon-like vehicle which is the 4-seater Armed Force
I was 11 when this first came out, and had been singing a cappella in tribute to this awesome 80s cartoon, when I came across this perchance. Now I'll attempt to sing a capella AND with the intro track under it. Thanks!
Shuki Levy creative guy! Musician I am today thanks to the creativity of Shuki Levy.Ele could again produce these beautiful soundtracks of the naos 80 for current designs. lack that today. Has no outstanding issues as they were in the '80s.
This version is the official instrumental version that was on the back of the original vinyle disk. Others are fakes, remixes, or tributes. I had that vinyle when I was young. thank you very much for sharing it with us. Maybe I can manage to find the disk in my parents house, if I dig deep into the cupoards :) ... but for now, youtube will suffice. Thank you.
Shuki levy and Haim Saban... one hell of a collaboration those two had in those days. I wish they would get back together... they're obviously super composers when they're together.
Actually Shuki was the composer, Haim was the buisnessman of the two. He would promote, while Shuki came up for the music for well everything! :D But the partnership worked very well. :)
woow!! I remember how much I loved this series! Flora was my favorite and of course, Jayce! This is the best cartoon theme ever! I used to sing along to it in every chapter xD Saw Boss was the creepiest villain ever!
Uhhhh... Shuki Levy is the one who PRODUCED this instrumental version of the theme. It was made for the B-side of the official French soundtrack single which Saban Records put out in 1985.
awesome stuff! Now I wish someone would do the same with the scores of the other underrated geniuses of Saturday Morning cartoon music: Johnny Douglas and Dean Ellott!!
The greatest cartoon intro theme ever, better with the vocals though. Shuki Levy wrote the theme tune to a generation with his work writing theme songs for cartoons in the 80 and 90's.
They should really take all the 80's cartoons and remake them. Boost up the songs, iron out the stupid plots and give the chars a makeover. There were so many fantastic ideas and detailed worlds made back then.
Disney had DuckTales, Girl Meets World and Raven's Home DiC Entertainment had Strawberry Shortcake Nelvana had Holly Hobbie Netflix had The Magic School Bus Rides Again, The Baby-Sitters Club and Fuller House PBS Kids had Clifford the Big Red Dog Cartoon Network had He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Apple TV had Ghostwriter There should be remakes of Lady Lovely Locks and the Pixietails Barbie and the Rockers / Barbie and the Sensations The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin Doug (Disney version only) Clarissa Explains It All Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors
what the hell is that high-pitched keyboard bullshit on top of the regular instrumental??? Did they think the singer's voice needed to be replaced????? Yaaaaaagh!
machaineà You can't have an instrumental that's just the harmonics. Well, I guess you can, but it's an incomplete piece. That's why the vocals have to be replaced. If you have no melody, you have no song. Pretty sure they've been making instrumental versions of vocal songs for a LOT longer than forty years...
Advanced Techniques Institute Well, I agree that it isn't the best choice if they were going for overall quality but obviously, they wouldn't have had multi-thousand channel MIDI instruments in 1984. As an electronica fan I appreciate the accuracy to the period.
Probably the greatest cartoon theme tune of all time love this cartoon so much too bad the series was never finished Rock On Jayce!
This version was only avaliable in France, due to Shuki Levy's popularity over there as a singer/songwriter. It was never made avaliable anywhere else, the same with a few other soundtracks of his.
This theme belongs up there with such fellow 80's classics as "M.A.S.K.," "Silverhawks," and "Pole Position," among many others!
@SebRhade

Love it! Shuki Levy would be proud ;)
Uhhhh... Shuki Levy is the one who PRODUCED this instrumental version of the theme. It was made for the B-side of the official French soundtrack single which Saban Records put out in 1985.
LIGHTNING STRIKES!
Jesus Christ... where's this song been all my life? It's like hearing Mega Man music for the first time!

80's & we Love it ! :-D
80s = The Future From The Past
I don't know where you got these Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors songs but they're awesome! Thanks!
Can't get over the realness.
Shuki Levy Rules!
The greatest cartoon intro theme ever, better with the vocals though. Shuki Levy wrote the theme tune to a generation with his work writing theme songs for cartoons in the 80 and 90's.
I want something like that today!
F'ing awesome! :)
Jayce never did find his father.... Low ratings
This is probably the B Side of the French Single which uses the same background music as the English version anyway. :D
This is really good Quality. Is there any way you can put the singing in from the intro?
totally agreed. while the american version is awersome, the frech one is just increadble.
@Malario80 SO TRUE, IT'S LIKE THE 80S IS THE FUTURE THAT'S STILL 2 COME!
=)
eurobeat/dance :-)
If only they would make a scifi/fantasy film based on this show. It would rock. Like avatar style mixing animation with live action
Sounds a Bit like Amras - Computer Music! Class!!
ligthing strikes !!!
Only get this type of music on Keygens now, boo!
ever listened to the french version? look for it, it's... unbelievable
Badass"

Disney had DuckTales, Girl Meets World and Raven's Home
DiC Entertainment had Strawberry Shortcake
Nelvana had Holly Hobbie
Netflix had The Magic School Bus Rides Again, The Baby-Sitters Club and Fuller House
PBS Kids had Clifford the Big Red Dog
Cartoon Network had He-Man and the Masters of the Universe
Apple TV had Ghostwriter
There should be remakes of
Lady Lovely Locks and the Pixietails
Barbie and the Rockers / Barbie and the Sensations
The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin
Doug (Disney version only)
Clarissa Explains It All
Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors
1 Person is an agent for Sawboss!

@shannon865
hahaha!!! I hope this is true! thats Class!!!
Sounds like Metroid
H1N1 :D !
Anyone else got the compulsion to suddenly do the robot? :)
Normal 80s pop, actually.
To bad they never finished the show.
The extended original english version (no sound effect) is available on my channel.
@AtomicFFProductions Agreed! Get the herbicide!
I'm sorry but it isn't the same without the power ballad ;)
@Alan7997 Yes. Doomo Ari- :)
The 80s Cartoons had awesome Themes and the music was fantastic, but today the music and the themes are totally crap...
what the hell is that high-pitched keyboard bullshit on top of the regular instrumental??? Did they think the singer's voice needed to be replaced????? Yaaaaaagh!
machaineà Because replacing the vocal part with instruments is what makes it "instrumental" rather than "background," "karaoke," or "off vocals."
luminusprime I think you're making up a new meaning to "instrmental", which has been meaning the same thing for the last 40 years.
machaineà
You can't have an instrumental that's just the harmonics. Well, I guess you can, but it's an incomplete piece. That's why the vocals have to be replaced. If you have no melody, you have no song.

luminusprime Thanks for the lesson. I can't say I'm a fan of having the vocals replaced with a that little effect.
