My ancestors are from here. It's so wonderful to be able to learn about their homeland on this video. You did a great job with the videography, the pacing, the music and your lovely voice. Thank you.
Thank you both for this video. It helped me to see where my grandparents came from. So much of our history was not asked by us when we were young. Now that we’re grandparents, it becomes very important. 🥰
Another great and interesting video. We went to Himera and ate in that restaurant when we visited Sicily by Dreams. It was fantastic and some of the best food we had in Sicily!
❤I'd love for you to make an updated video that is more in depth of every day life(especially for expats). Stuff like schools, groceries, real estate, etc... But great video! Thank you!🙏
Ohhhh you went to my Birth / Home town ! I can not wait to go back and see my family ~ I miss them so . Thank you for going there and doing this video. Love and hugs ❤️🇮🇹🇺🇸
@@EszterVajda my ancestors were originally from Ireland, Netherlands and Ireland were now live in the States, unfortunately no Sicilian blood that I’m aware of other than the place they now hold in our hearts after visiting last year.
Nice tour. Love the beaches from Termini to Campo Felice. I didn't know about the connection with Bari and St. Nicolas. We toured St. Nicolas in Bari once to hear about how the Italians stold Santa's remains from Turkey. They still hold services there with both the Greek and Roman liturgies like some towns in Sicily.
What a beautiful area, you could certainly get absorbed in the charm of this part of Scicly. The restaurant looked so good. Thank you Eszter and Alfred for bringing the highlights of such an interesting place to visit. Have a great day
Looks beautiful and love the history could sit all day watching & learning the history of Sicily ' another great video ' the old buildings & chapels love to visit them
Adding these amazing historic places to my list for my next visit.. love all the historic facts associated with this area which is on the highway going to my ancestral home S’Agata di M.. Hugs from Texas!! Grazie!!
YES Termini Imerese is right off the highway. But to get to Himera easier to take next exit Campofelice di Roccella, there is even a sign as you exit saying Himera Archeological Park
We’re traveling to this town (my wife’s grandparents ancestral home) this September 2022! This video was incredibly helpful to me for planning purposes. Thanks for posting! Any hotel or VRBO type recommendations?
