I don’t want to be that guy, but I want to point out that half of Jose’s theme and probably the best part of it has been skipped in here. Just wanted to let you know otherwise this video’s superb
yoooo this is great, and put in an excellent order too. clear mind and yusei's theme never fail to get me pumped up lol. i love everything about 5ds, even tho the ylliaster arc sidelined aki and carly it was epic af and a lot of fun. and that final duel/episode always gets me emotional. 5ds 4 lyfe
To me 5ds aged pretty bad. I do like watching the Dark Signers arc but the last arc was so goofy that I could not take is serious despite the killer soundtrack. Main reasons being Jack feeling like a total goofball, Aki being demoted to bench warmer (even the intro of that arc tells you that is her roll), Crow getting way too much attention (mistake of the Dark Signers arc to force fed us him as a new Signer), the concept of synchro killers. I liked the Kalin filler arc significantly more. To be honest, I don't get why there were so many signers when only like 3 get focused. Rua and Ruka or whatever their names were, where pretty irrelevant, with few notable moments. If they were side characters and not portrayed as the 5 (or 6) most important duelist picked by the Crimson Dragon, I would not complain. Otherwise I would complain about Carly being forgettable after the Dark Signers arc as well. Despite all this, I consider it still around the 3rd best Yugioh series.
I know that a lot of ppl did not like everything after dark signers arc but for me season 4 and 5 was hype af. The team duels were hype and i thought the meklords and everything was cool aswell. Jack being a comedic relief during some fillers was funny imo and he had some pretty hype moments (red nova dragon, him vs thor, etc) Aki being demotet felt really bad i agree, they could have done so much more with her. Crow was alright, i liked him but did not love him And yeah kalin filler was really dope I agree with u that the signers really did not all feel like they were signers. Yusei carried every duel in the team world cup they had. Atleast every signer had a good duel at the end (sherry vs crow and aki, jack and the siblings against aporia). Oh and the thing with carly is i think because they found out about her VA being in some type of cult so they kinda erased her from the script. For me 5ds is my all time favorite yugioh series, which i first watched in tv when i was young. 2nd has to be zexal or duel monsters

Alot of characters who could had an intresting developement where completley ignored, the villain was extremeley flat and every emotional moment in that arc lost his meaning because everyone came back to life in the end. Not to mention that the duels where boring and ripetitive, since every duel was basically: "both characters summons theyr ONLY boss monster and then they will activate some hyper situational card in order to buff theyr monsters attack and the one with the biggest number win without an actual strategy".
