What is SEO? Might be helpful info for people who got here from the algorithm
Search Engine Optimization. Basically specific keywords that help people find things on Etsy, Google, Facebook, you name it.
They're the basic building blocks of getting any kind of traction on any platform, even a search engine, without having to pay for ads. Though ads for searches will always come up first.
From what I know, Etsy's SEO is in the 13 direct keywords on each listing you add, the title of the product, and the beginning part of the description (been told it's not the entire description).
I usually can get on the front page or so on Etsy by using keyword pretty easy. There is advanced software for getting the estimated best keywords, but I typically do well with just a quick search of popular keywords related to what I'm selling. I'm also VERY niched down, which helps a lot.

Is it still worth opening up a pod store on etsy?
I've been at this almost a year...I have good designs...and still no sales. They say the market isn't saturated, but I totally disagree.
Are you paying for ads on Etsy ?

yes - ETSY has low start-up risks and a great way to learn e-commerce
@@lmlowe9100 it's not saturated - it's about understanding what customers want and putting that in front of them! Besides having good designs, do you have data that customers are looking for items like your listings?
Too many edits to the video annoy the viewer 😊
edits help keep people engaged and prevent them from losing interest/attention
I agree. I was getting distracted. Difficult to concentrate on the actual content when you have so many effects every few seconds. I guess this kinda editing works wonders on some viewers but this didnt help me.
