    Your definitely onto something here with spending too much time on seo and tags. The cell phone case company you reference in this series has very minimal seo and tags that dont even match most of their listings yet they are doing very well in a short time. I have still not cracked the code fully, lol, but you are definitely on to something here, thank you.

    Wow 🤩 super interesting and valuable information 😊 I had an Etsy shop and I am struggling to find a way to stand out 😂 have made 4 organic sales since I opened but will definitely love more 😅 my plan is to quit my job mid year 2025 and work from home to be able to spend more time with my family and hopefully homeschool them as well ❤

      That’s not true! It’s simply happening because of overactive bots 🤖 and their focus to ensure there are no spam account in their platform

    • @AdalydGracia
      @AdalydGracia 5 месяцев назад +3

      I heard the same thing. You mentioned that is not truth and at the same time that "is happening." I am in the process of opening my shop and it will be beneficial to add this topic in your challenge, maybe we can avoid the bots you are mentioning in your reply above 👆🏼 or any other strategy, based on your expertise and experience. Thank you.

      @@AdalydGracia you avoid it by ensuring you have all your financial info & bank account match your ID - you have to prove you are a real person … if your account gets suspended you simply appeal it - check the Notion template I share inside the challenge - it has a checklist of everything you need to open your etsy shop - available by signing in here www.theetsysellingformula.com/live-q-a

      I opened another Etsy shop a few days ago. I spent the entire day setting it up and loading products, and then they suspended it. I emailed them immediately to ask why, and what in the world was going on? About 2 hours later they turned it back on. And several weeks ago on my main Etsy shop, I got a copyright strike on my own product, with a threat to shut the shop down. Took a day to resolve that one! Really terrible business practice.

      @@AdalydGracia What I've seen is that if you open your shop and upload lots of listings on the first day it's likely to trigger the bots.
      So for new stores I've heard someone say open your shop, you have to upload one listing to open it, then leave it a few days, make sure your financial information is correct as above and then slowly upload. I would avoid spending hours every day listing all your items. Just do it slowly the first week or 2 and that seems to stop the suspension happening.
      I've opened 3 stores now, one for a community project, and 2 or my own and not one got suspended.

    You didn’t explain how to get the Notion template. You only said “check your email and the description”. There is nothing in the description about a template or getting an email. Or anywhere in your channel description. Did you not check this before you said and published that?

    Is it possible to travel and work from different countries? I want to take my family to Thailand for a few months, but I don't know if an Etsy shop will be flagged and shut down since the IP address is different.

    • @lifeupnorth9385
      @lifeupnorth9385 5 месяцев назад

      you can always use a VPN

    • @UKM-13
      @UKM-13 5 месяцев назад

      @lifeupnorth9385 a VPN will cha ge your IP address, and using a VPN wouldn't be recommended as I'm sure Etsy will flag it

    • @lifeupnorth9385
      @lifeupnorth9385 5 месяцев назад

      @@UKM-13 yes and no. First of all, unless you're paying for a static IP from your Internet provider, you home network's IP constantly changes. If your really wanted to, you could setup your VPN to route through your home network as well, so to Etsy it will appear as if you're working from home. The point of the VPN in this case is to use a US-based IP address while you're working from another country if that's an issue for Etsy.

      @@misslunavega Yes, I understand..👍 but if there is a print on demand, one is paying shipping & item cost to the company, FIRST, so they can deliver stuff to customers. Etsy is keeping customers payments for 90 days...🤷 So one needs money for starting up anyway...🤷

    • @misslunavega
      @misslunavega  5 месяцев назад +1

      @@helengren9349yes I mention this - I mention that you do need a credit card when getting started - but also remember, you aren’t going to go from $0 sales to $1,000 overnight - especially as a beginner, so you might have a few orders (so not more than $200 tops obviously this varies) - also it’s not 90 days hold for everyone - it depends on how many sales you make - so if you sell and ship 10 orders within 2 weeks, the hold will be removed - does that make sense ?
