On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. Because any airforce would take that trade without thinking about it.
There's only about 150 air worthy P-51s left and they aren't making any more. Can always make another Felon.

Many years ago an excellent engineer friend of mine wrote a paper on the theoretical performance of Spitfire and Eurofighter on a one-to-one dogfight. This is a new level...
Why don't we just restart the production lines for spitfires and p51s to give to the Ukrainians. Outnumber the '5th generation fighters' 8 to 1. Job done
@@pigeonpoo1823 They would still get shellacked because 4th generation fighters don't dogfight with guns. They lock on from beyond visual range and launch missiles from 20-40 miles away. The Spitfires would with their massive thermal and radar signals would be large beacons for their missiles. They would launch missiles and turn back while never leaving the safety of their surface to air defenses.
These videos are fun but unfortunately are only theoretical since you would need a scenario where both sides' air defenses are knocked out and all the jets somehow have no more missiles.

something tells me that the terms of this fight was felon giving mustang all the chances to score a kill. because there are numerous moments where felon's nose was on mustang for good couple of seconds and he wasnt shooting.
Overall, that was an interesting fight, and lots of fun moments, but on the final round, even though he was on fire, I wouldn't take the chance of ending up in front when he hasn't ejected. It's not over until somebody bails or a plane slams into the ground.
That said, awesome job getting the 57 with the 51. SUPER awesome.
Yeah I agree, celebrating before your opponent is confirmed destroyed in any combat scenario is not a good idea.

Hey GS, Ive been wondering about the difference between jets and props, and it brings me to the strange time where jets were just barely better than props. They just barely had the engine power advantage, but remained competitive in turn rate ability.
I would like to request a showcase on some of those jets. Everyone knows the ME262, but what about the ME162, the HO229, or the f-80 and the f-2h. It would also be cool if we could see a yak-15p or Meteor F or something of equal ability. I think these jets are really cool, and would love to see you do some showcases with them.

I always loved fighting ME-262s in the P-51D in IL-2 1946 online. It was all about evasive manoeuvres and energy retention, while frustrating the 262 pilot and luring him into turns to make him lose his energy advantage. Those cannons were terrifying though!

I love these, easily my favorite kind of vids. Just a heavily lopsided or otherwise unusual matchup. Win or lose it doesnt matter, the struggle makes the victories all the sweeter, and I love seeing the ingenuity and skill pushed to the limit.

this fight is so unfair, if it's taken seriously how is this fight supposed to be winned knowing the supremacy of the other plane and the high tehnology this one have,it's impossible for a su57 to win
The thing that gets overlooked is GS isnt going up against junk pilots in these VS. videos. Often they are extremely good pilots. If I was the other pilot in these VS. videos, it wouldn't matter what I was flying, he could kill me with a paper airplane.

That Felon almost committed a Felony on the last fight.
At a press conference yesterday, a Pentagon spokesperson said that the Su-57 pilot's behavior was, "unsafe and unprofessional" after video footage from GS showed the Russian warplane merging aggressively against the aging warbird in a dogfight.

I first would like to say I don't play this. But, I love military aircraft of all sorts, and I really like the content of this channel. The audacity of pitting a Mustang vs. Felon just blows my mind. Bravo on the splash in the final round, I would have liked to have seen if you had successfully returned to base.You had some severe to critical damage. Great job getting rounds on target in the 1st battle. That totally exceed my expectations. You fought brilliantly, and gained a new subscriber.
I'd love to see an intercept style video with this matchup too. I suspect the mustang may struggle in the bvr fight, but I'm sure you can figure out a way to make it work.

That second round is the most accurate thing I've seen in dcs. 100% Russian pilots would crash into another plane by accident

It's almost like in the first round the Felon was just playing and dancing around the Mustang barely coming in the cross hairs before turning its nose around and completely getting off the path of the 50 cals, but when you managed to get some rounds on the Felon it got really angry and went "oh so you want a fight? You want to fight me?!" and obliterated the Mustang's tail in a burst.
The felon chasing the mustang while trailing smoke and flames was one of the funniest things I've seen in a while
