Start the first drift as close to the poles as possible and aim for the part where the track starts widening to left. Then just at the point where your car is closest to the left wall start another slide with neo or extend the first slide enough to hit the apex on the right. Its important to not start the second slide too early because you'll run the turn too wide, if you do so.
Keyboard with controller next to it so I can smooth steer on bobsleighs and do noslides on dirt and grass while still mainly using "the superior controller device".
you forgot a cut doable, in matchmaking, this time (i think) on spring, 12, that consist in not taking the wall-ride with yellow booster, but doing a loop followed by a 180 to keep the speed
I assume you are thinking about skipping the reset blocks on the middle platform, right? The reset skip that the video is highlighting is a skip right before the checkpoint. If you play the video from 2:32 at 0.25 speed, you can see the wheels of the car lifting up slightly and just barely avoiding touching the reset block.
Yo, In Spring 08 I personally use cam 1 and the front wheels to determine how much I have to turn. I try to always wiggle so that the front wheels are just fully visible behind the back wheels on cam 1 on the max points of the wiggle.

As you skip the reset block before the checkpoint you lengthen the duration of the reactor boost just enough for it to drag the car downwards at the beginning of the big jump. Forward tilt and lower jump are results of that downwards reactor boost drag.
@@WuffeliTM so the key is the wall before Cp and jump, do i need to stay right and hard steer left before CP to jump over reset or can i skip it just by driving a tight line on the wall?
@@Bensch33 Exactly. You need to stay bit lower than you would when taking the reset and jump over it. Before the reset you have to do a quick and hard left-right movement in order to get a tiny bit of air time so you can skip the reset but stay away from the left wall.
i’ve just got into TM, i’m starting on k+m and got a 21.324 8th in my state but after watching this and WR video it’s hard to SD and it would seem a lot easier to do it on controller what’s the easiest way to learn bc i wanna beat my time!
Speed drifts are hard at the beginnig regardless of your control device. It's true that most of the top full speed (the style built around SD's) players use controller but you shouldn't change to controller just because of that since it is definetely possible to climb on the very top and execute insanely precise speed drifts with keyboard too, as Hunter has shown. I myself use controller for some turns but SD's I always do with keyboard. If you really want to learn to speed drift, I recommend watching Mudda's speed drift tutorial on RUclips and grinding fs maps on Evo Full Speed Beginner server. Speed drifts are an important mechanic but they are extremely difficult to master.
Each trick is different. Usually with reactor boost jumps you want to manipulate your cars position in the air so that it lands either flat or bit backwards tilted. I can explain specific tricks into the details, if you have some that interest you in particular.
s4d is a speed drift triggered by a small brake tap. For a speed drift you want to slide in an angle where 50 % of your tyre marks overlap. This makes your car accelerate faster, if you have over 400 speed. To keep your car on the right angle with keyboard you just have to tap right/left quickly on the right rhythm.
Tap the brake just before your rear wheels leave the reactor. The longer the tap the more likely it is to work but longer tap also equals more time lost.
You're probably right. Those time saves may have some inaccuracies since the times I compared the (hunted) trick utilizing records against weren't that fast.

There are a wide range of reactor tricks that you can do. In the most common case you want to land flat or tilted a bit backwards with upwards reactor to get "the reactor zoop".
Smooth steer into the lefthander to noslide it. Then release gas, if needed, to delay gear up so it doesn't happen before you are on the block after cp where you can straighten your car for a second and let it gear up. Then just smooth steer very gently the last part of the turn to not slide it.
@@WuffeliTM how do i smooth steer with keyboard? Tapping often instead pushing through? And in which corners can i drive over Sand? My current time is 21.6 and i really want to improve
@@Bensch33 Smooth steering is very hard, if not impossible with keyboard. I recommend getting some kind of analog steering device next to your keyboard, if you really want to get good times on dirt and bobsleigh maps. What comes to driving over sand and other slowing surfaces, the basic rule is that, if avoiding the slowing surface loses you more speed than going through it, you should drive over it and vice versa. Only expectations are turns where you want to keep lower gear through the turn and turns where your exit speed doesn't really matter due to a following sharp turn or finish right after the turn. In Spring 03 in particular you should avoid the sand as much as you can without having to oversteer too much. If you're going for the noslide strat, you can use a bit of the sand at the beginning of the noslide to slow you down to a speed where you can keep the noslide. You can also go over the sand at the end of the turn to keep the noslide up. The world record doesn't go through a lot of sand and keeps the upper gear through the entire chicane while nosliding which is faster but extremely difficult.
You need to start braking (while holding gas) just before your rear wheels leave the ramp. Hold brake until you are close enough to the ground to get a reactor zoop but far enough from the ground to not hit the edge while zooping.
when you try to fix a cut by patching a bug and create 3 new cuts
Well, it did not create 3 cuts, it just had the 4th, buggy, way of doing the cut that was superior
its funny how many possible ways of cutting has Spring 12 :D
I posted a video with a new strat; I got top 13 :)
Kb players seeing the trick on 03.
