Yes, J-Hope is a member of BTS. J-Cole is his idol...he respects him so much and was THRILLED that J-Cole agreed to feature on his song.
Jhope is apart of the most massive group in the world BTS. Plus jhope is a rapper and hip hop dancer as well. Jhope also is a huge fan of jcole they met at lalapalooza last year when jhope was performing there. Jhope also gave jcole 32 bars because he respects him so much.
J-Hope has been a fan of J. Cole since he was fifteen. There is a shooting sketch for this. Hobi was doing some of the cutest fanboying ever. I’m so happy to see all of BTS working with artist they have loved from their youth. There’s such a love and mutual respect for each other.

BTS is a South Korean boy band consisting of three rappers and four vocalists. And all seven of them are excellent dancers.
J-Hope is one of the main dancers and dance leader of BTS. He was originally a street dancer, but his talent as a rapper blossomed as he became BTS.
As a rapper, J.Cole has been a hero to J-Hope. On the Street is a song J-Hope made with J.Cole as a gift for BTS' fans ARMY to say goodbye for a little while.
It started with J-Hope's whistling accidentally, and J.Cole added his amazing verse to the melody J-Hope made.
I think it would be really meaningful for him to collaborate with J.Cole on a brief farewell song before joining the military.
J-Hope said this was him going to his root which was street dance because he was a street dancer. That's why he's dancing to J.Cole's verse in the MV. I can feel J-Hope showed great respect for him in this song.

BTS members are about to join the military.
After releasing a collaboration single with Coldplay, Jin, the oldest member, already enlisted about 80 days ago and is serving under Korean law.
And J-Hope, who collaborated with J.Cole this time, is going to join the army soon.
Other five BTS members will also serve in the military and will be reunited in 2025. So they are briefly stopping their eight-year group activities and focusing on their solo work.
They do a wide variety of music, but basically they are rooted in hip-hop.
All seven members are participating in making their songs by writing, composing, and producing them.
Now BTS is the biggest boy band in the world. But they started with a small company that almost went bankrupt, so they have been very looked down and hated by Korean broadcasting stations and other K-pop fandom. So they have struggled from the beginning to prove themselves.
I highly recommend Mic Drop's MV and the live performances. (It's one of their billion-view music video.)
The direction of Mic Drop's lyrics began with the idea of J-Hope.
And 'Mic Drop' at the end of this music video is a performance created by BTS leader RM inspired by Barack Obama's speech. :)
The lyrics of BTS' songs are based on their own experiences, and their albums are organic because they contain their growth narrative.
It will also be fun to listen to their albums in order and analyze them. :)
They make a wide variety of genres of music like Hip-hop, Ballad, R&B, pop, EDM, etc. I'm sure there're quite a few of their 300 songs that suit your taste. :)
If you're interested in J-Hope's live energy, I recommend about an hour and 20 minutes of performance at the Lollapalooza Festival, where he participated as a headliner.

For reference, the day he performed recorded the highest demand ever for one-day tickets among Lollapalooza performances and that night J.Cole met J-Hope and this collaboration was achieved. :)

BTS has the best rap line in Korean music imo and 3 of my favorite rappers in general. They write and produce their own music, genuine hip hop lovers that create conscious music.
I’d love to see a reaction to BTS. Try “Mic Drop” which has an excellent beat, then maybe “On - a kinetic manifesto” which has excellent dancing. JHope is their lead dancer, although they can all dance, he’s one of the best. There are 2 other rappers in the group and 4 vocalists. Excellent group and they can do almost any genre

Ive been watching you guys for a while now just PRAYING you'd eventually get to BTS. This j-hope J. Cole collab is a perfect starter. I hope you check out the whole group. Their music is so inspirational and brilliant. Also more of the members have solo work out. He is old school which most Army does not u deter and and reading comments hear yeah I am right . He is old school 80’s and 90’s rap. Before coles time . Not the rod j-hope . He paid homage in song called Chicken Noodle Soup. This song was NOT about cole . It is about j-hope in the street where he started dancing and went underground . He enlisted in military and dedicated this song to Army and His Fans . His album for. 2918 is as hige today as it was back then and his music from a year ago is breaking g records still . You guys should really look into watching “fade in, fade out by Nothing More. That song helps me connect with my grandfather and my uncle who have passed away. Both were father figures to me, as my father was not. Losing them at a young age has made me the man I am today. I love you guys and your love you give off to the community. Keep it man. Yes please look further into BTS rappers first. You spoke on dope bars....RM, Suga and JHope have DOPE bars. Please react to the rap line. Songs of suggestion UGH, Outro Tear, Cypher 1, 2, 3 and 4, DDaeng. Then go into solo projects of JHope, Suga and RM. You WILL love their lyrics. After that dive into the BTS rabbit hole lol....they also have lyrics that are profound and deep.
