I met mccrank in 2005, came down to surf my local when he was visiting Oz, he came and hang with me and 3 of my friends and chilled down our local park with just us before he went surfing, one of nicest dudes ever

Love the show, subscribed, always wondered what Rick was up to. He was one of my favorites I saw him live at a Girl/Chocolate demo in early 2000s he killed it and ended up walking out after twisting his ankle, epic dude.
His part in Yeah Right skating to Le Tigre Deceptacon is legendary. I can’t listen to that song without thinking of Rick Mccrank

I started skating in 96 in Ottawa. Sk8 city and top of the world were a big part of the skate scene here in Ottawa. It was sick. Skating with guys like wade, trep, and Spenser. I obviously never made it but I'm 35 and still ripping Ottawa. One day me and my boy Melvin were skating this like little four stair ledge on sparks Street in Ottawa. and who but none other than mcrank rolls up.....we were blown away. He asked if we were skating that ledge. Dumbfounded we stuttered yes. He did a back 50 and kept skating away. Rick was so influencial to the Canadian scene in the early 2000s. Those were the days. Thanks mcdank. That's what we refered to him as lol.🤘
