Tau, inherently the smartest/ most jerky faction

@@stefanneaga I play both tau and tsons. There's no comparison. With tau you have to make smart priority target decisions, with tsons you have so many more moving parts that you have to know how to align in order to do pretty much anything.

It's not about winning or losing, it's about purging heretics.

Sad. This is what we could have had. Instead, we get female custodes. I doubt Cavill will stay on to do the show.

@@jonahpaley5725 The thing is, it's not that the people that are angry about this dislike women, because 40k is jam-packed with strong women who'd kick your ass for breakfast and ask for seconds, it's that gender-specific roles are literally hard-coded into the canon, such that Custodes and Adeptus Astartes MUST be male candidates, or they'd literally die in the process of conversion.
To suddenly just have a female one out of the blue, as an obvious bit of pandering, is taken as an insult, because it's so discordant with what's come before, and whenever anyone asks a legit question as to "why?", you get a response like the one you gave, when you don't even really understand what the issue is.
For example, if GW had for a number of months previous to this, said that alongside the Primaris program, the Emperor had tasked some bio-engineer with finding ways to make the gene-augmentation more flexible, such that women COULD be candidates, and that this female Custodes was actually a secret prototype of the process that had been kept under secret order within the innermost sanctums of the Imperial Palace, THEN you'd find a lot of this contention never happening in the first place, because there'd be an in-universe explanation as to why something was now seemingly different.
It's not about misogyny, it's about loyal fans seeing obvious pandering and being insulted that their feelings weren't considered.

@@LabTech41 Dude like half the people complaining have never touched a model in their life. I admit its a bit weird we have never herd of female custodes before, but bigger things have been retconned and I honestly cannot find a reason to care. Changing the lore is only bad if it retroactively makes stuff not make sense and making some of the Custodes female literally changes nothing. Are the thousands of people they crush without a second thought going to notice the gender of whoever is behind the mask. Mind you, it would make sense to me if female custodes were pretty darned rare because they pick custodes from the very best not just mentally but physically and for a woman to match a man physically is a pretty tall order, but that they exist makes sense to me. Wouldn't the emperor want the best for his personal guards and confidants, regardless of gender?

@@jonahpaley5725 Really? Half the people complaining have never touched a model in their life? That's an AMAZINGLY specific level of knowledge to have; might I ask how you obtained that insight?
There's a difference between truth, and what you'd LIKE to be true.
You said it yourself: you don't care; that means none of this has to do with the facts on the ground, and you just wanting to be mean against some randos on the internet.
The irony here, is that you in your disdain for the player base and those interested in the lore, is that you did more to help people move through this moment of transition to the new reality than the people who created this game did. THAT is the overall point of the current beef: the people responsible for the game have for years now been showing disrespect to the people that they owe employment and a paycheck from, and this is just the latest example.
It's this kind of callous disregard that's made piracy of the models endemic to the game.
