- Safety first up - check your location in the daylight. During the day some areas have good snapper food but are too shallow to fish but at night the fish come in close. Get a headlamp and don't shine your light on the water, a bait bucket is also a good tool to have.

Hi Scott.
I just subbed because you aren't annoying.
Yes. I'm a grumpy old ....😂
Will try my best not to be annoying 😄
For such a short video this is packed full of great tips! Glad to see safety is your priority
Good one bro, I’ve had some of my best sessions off the rocks at night, especially after a storm.
Absolutely, my family landed some 43-45cms fat snappers at dusk and into the night. We used fresh mullet, skipjack tuna, squid and pilchards. Thanks Scott
Good stuff 👍
Thank you!!! I learned a lot by watching and following your videos, instructions... Really appreciate! And cant wait for new one to come!
Cheers and Regards from NSW Port Stephens
i do find that the change of light always made a huge differences on a good day. personally i prefer early morning starts than going through the night for a fish
Nice vid thank's for the tips👍👍
Yes! Been waiting for more videos! It's the way you explain man bloody interesting info! You probably wont believe me but you've helped me decide on rods, reels and land base fishing spots for years Scott 😂🤦♂️ hopfully oneday I'll get to meet ya!
Thanks Logan, fantastic to hear I've helped with your fishing - where you based?
I spent many years fishing whangaparoa and still have family up there, now in the bay of plenty! Getting bent on the salt and fresh water!
Always use bait bucket when I'm stray lining the weed, indespensable!
Yeah, amazing how good they are, I'm surprised more kiwis don't use them.....
Been thinking of trying around North Shore area at night, never had any luck during the day this winter! Have you got a headlamp brand you prefer or would you just recommend any brand as long as it's bright enough?
LED lensers are ok, the Black Diamond one Im using is pretty good so far....
Bunch of good advice. Except if a get a big one ı love to show off 😬
Yeah true - if you can get a good pic sometimes its just as good 😄
Nice vid just subscribed I have a very similar RUclips channel to you
