Nice illustration.. why you don't like swivels?

I always run a 2 to 3 mtr leader to keep the braid away from the reef and with a swivel you can not bring the fish all the way to the boat.

Shannon where do catch live pike mate? Just on a bait jig?

North side of Wave Break Island on the left side of the bar are some grass beds. Troll those beds around high water with small double clutch lures or Atomic puppy dogs to find Pike. Another spot is Perrys bank on South Straddie and some times offshore after dark while floatlining for Snapper Pike will pinch your Pilchards when this starts happening put down a small jig head with a small bit of pilchard to catch the Pike.
