  • Hello and welcome to Basic Fishing from New Zealand. In this video, I was up and early on a weekend off the wharf to see if I was able to hook into anything good. Little did I knew that I was going to see all sorts of action happening off the wharf from a close range fishing, landing a range of species from snapper to parore to a race that came out of nowhere..... Really hope to land a kingfish soon though.....

    Wicked little micro softbait 3:58 session mate. So parore eat mussels as well Peter? Thats cool man youbuse shellfish bait really well eh 18:47 great fish too!!

      yea I used a lot of mussel bait haha good for 'cubing' too even their shells after shucking

    Not sure why you always fish there. There are so many better places to fish around the coast.
