  • When traveling to ride bike trails, we never know what we’ll find, but this trail is a gem! It is a 14 mile paved trail between Colombia and Falmouth along the Susquehanna River. Congratulations to the localities involved in implementing this great trail!

I enjoyed your video. One clarification, the trail is owned and managed by Lancaster County, the Lancaster County Solid Waste Management Authority, Columbia Brough, Marietta Borough, East Donegal Township, and Conoy Township. Each entity owns a section of the trail and maintain it collectively. It's a team effort!

Thank you! I ride the trail every weekend that I can, although I once took a fall on one of the two bridges by the boat club one day thanks to wet leaves and bruised myself up pretty well but no permanent harm, but most importantly my bike came through unscathed. So now I won't ride if the trail is wet. It is as you say a magnificent trail and willing to bet one of the best in the state if not the whole country. I did my own video of the whole ride a year ago right after a storm had blown through so lots of fallen tree obstacles. The only thing I wish they would do would be to add a couple of benches at the Falmouth Boat Landing trailhead, but perhaps they don't have the jurisdiction? For you first-timers I would recommend riding during the week or early sat/sun when there are fewer pedestrians and skate boarders.
