I found it funny that between Peter, Miles, and Gwen plus a few other Spiders having a series I would see fanarts of SPider-man and he would have his mask but Gwen didn't. In her series she was called Spider-Woman (not Spider-Gwen which was the fan nickname made on fan forums and then selected to be the series title) and that while Gwen had to wear a mask that was also apart of her identity many fanarts and artist variants had her swinging around smiling and looking pretty without the mask and a care in the world...then the reader would open the issue up and Gwen is in a bar drinking depression and PTSD away with her ready to hurt somebody and everybody wanting to capture her or kill her. The fanarts 90% of the time never captured the real series or character made. Of the Spider heroes Gwen's was possible the darkest of the three at many points with Gwen suffering in some form.
ALL the spiders (and heroes in general) have bad days. Gwen Poole I think in one issue when talking to the Leaper that no comic reader would want to read the hero grocery shopping. Thus to have a issue to usually having something happening to you if not confronting a villian yourself. Miles saw his mom die. Peter has lost tons of love ones and people he cares about including a baby. Cindy was locked away for years and needed psychology help. So the sliding scales of good day to bad day to 'OMG this will scar me' days happens to all heroes. Gwen just seemed to suffer a bit more long term. Plus adding to that she's a hero that actual went to jail and served her jail time fully. Gwen Stacy: former convict.
After this she loses her powers, starts depending on the (dare)devil for her power-ups, and gets her father imprisoned because of her and brutally mauled by the Rhino. THEN Venom comes in and messes with her psyche. And, you know, her future self messing with her timeline and stuff. But don't worry, she gets better...ish.
AngelJD I thought Peter was because •his parents/uncle are dead •everyone hates him even when he’s risking his own life constantly •got his life taken away by his enemy •killed a couple people by accident •got his company destroyed •was fired from his job for something his enemy did. •Green Goblin legit had kids with his girlfriend and killed her right after. •Needed to make a deal with Mephisto in order to save his only family and keep his identity a secret, with the result of him losing everything he had with Mary Jane. And some others.
And really, she's the best thing in it... And by best, I mean, not awful like the rest. Especially the Squirrel Girl/Ms Marvel teamup who are just cringe.

Both Harry and Peter had a crush on her but Gwen while she cared for them it was never exactly shown exactly how she felt about them. She greatly cared for the two as the three were connected as outcasts and best friends but it's unknown if she felt a love to them like her brothers to her or more. When he got back to see Gwen it was a unknown if he still had a crush on her but he was very happy to see her. Yet also felt guilty for just leaving Gwen when she herself was grieving for Peter and thought that if he took down Spider-Woman not only would he avenge Peter but both he and Gwen would be able to move on.
Hyun Dong Lee Yes I did and I also read other series that Gwen was in such as the Wolverine annual issue, the Clone Conspiracy, and Web Warriors. Unfortunately I wasn't a fan of how Gwen was written in the Web Warriors series (the character herself was fine and had many funny monuments such as her stuffing her face with fast food which is in character for her plus hearing how Punk Gwen died by Punk Spider-man was funny and that I enjoyed but I hated how Gwen was honored by the other Spiders as a experienced and perfect fighter when in her own series she is not that experienced plus makes tons of errors and judgments being flawed) Now while I did read her series as a whole I might of missed a detail or forgetting or misinterpreted something but it's enjoyable talking with other fans to hear difference of options and perceptions provided it's done respectfully. In the end Gwen now has Spider plus Venom symbiote assistance powers. I thank the former team that brought her and her neon punk rock cover world and cast to life. Big fan of the father who was her sidekick though felt like I missed out on possible Spider-Gwen: year zero tales involving Gwen's dad hunting her down before he knew the truth. However it feels the newly made and now being shown Earth/animated Marvel Rising show (with the shorts now able to be seen on RUclips) will go that route and that can provide interesting and painful drama to watch concerning that Gwen and her double life that creative team are making. I have high hopes of her next vol coming soon done by a new writer and artist team.

I loved how Spidey always used to be 'Every-Man' in the sense that the bite could've happened to anyone, but a while ago it turned out that it was 'destiny' and that Peter was the chosen one and that he is the main Spider-Totem of the multiverse (the latter of which I don't mind and actually like), but it kinda blew out the whole point of Spider-Man being the 'hero who could be YOU'.
