This might be an oddly specific personal thing but this video hit me hard right in the nostalgia.
Thing is, back in gen 1 (MH Freedom 1) about 10+ years ago, I sucked at the game. The only big monsters I could defeat back then were Kutku and Cephadrome and that's literally it.
I remember spending 2 hours on gathering materials for the dual blades and then challenging Basarios from the guild hall (because I couldn't get past Garuga, thus I didn't have many village quests).
I fought him for 48 min, every attack was bouncing off, I was out of whetstones and my red sharpness dual blades couldn't even finish the full demon combo. Yet, I prevailed right before the time was over. This video literally speaks to me on a personal level.
Dude same but back in just mh1 the ps2 version not freedom the psp version. As it was my first mh game I got stuck at some point and I didn't have the internet adapter for the ps2 so I couldn't play online I then decides I was ok with just killing kut-ku with my dual blades when freedom 2 came out and I saw people in my high school playing it I immediately got the game learned how everything worked as I was a very casual gamer made some good friendships there. Now I facepalm seeing people fight diablos head on specially when we havent broken the horns and then they wonder why are they carting after 1 of his horn rushes.
He's hitting it's weakest part and it still doesn't feel it

Thats true. Dual blades having very short ranged attacks is a blessing against Basarios. It means you're more likely to hit its underside than its tougher upper body

Not really in terms of how they fight, Gravios is a constant beam-spammer unlike basarios.
@@sanstheskeleton9965 yeah, what Stratos said lol. For me, the key difference is hit zones. Basarios deflects everything on near every part of his body. Gravios' tail takes actual damage, and his head is generally bearable to hit. Most of his torso is a bit of a pain, but overall, he's not that bad.

The sharpness being at yellow is a nice touch

Love the attention to detail. Only nitpick is the hub details. Either there needed to be the dash juice icon on the side or the stamina bar depleting as he was wailing in demon stance. Otherwise nice work
The worst part is the stamina was supposed to deplete but it look like I unchecked a mask and didn't noticed , welp , too late to fix that now unless I do a compilation

The fight was already over when DualBro landed his Piercing Bind, Basarios got so caught up in it's egoistical defense of DualBro yellow sharpness DB, DualBro realized this free real-estate and got that juicy 400+ dmg procc on his Piercing Bind with demon mode!!!!

Having taken up dual blades this is accurate. Feels like you are doing no damage with those small white numbers but before you know it you've cut the tail, broken every monster part and shattered their spirit. Also as you increase the video speed throughout the video it gets funnier and funnier.
