I guess every story has its holes, but you still have to admit that Tales of The Jedi was a work of art.

It's because of things like this I no longer buy any of the supplemental material such as comics or books. If they are simpley going to ignore they're own canon so will i.

I refuse to read any of the new Star Wars novels. After they turned the EU to legends, I'm not spending my time reading material that can be changed in an instant.

A wise choice. The Bad Batch already retconned some of the earlier Disney-era EU. I'll just stick to classic EU as my personal canon (most of it, anyways) while taking and picking what I like from the Disney-era Star Wars to add to it.

It's funny because when Disney took over, Lucasfilm swore up and down that any novels and comics, written under the new management, would be canon. Well it seems they have gone back on their word, surprise 🤷. At this point the novels and comics come dead last. anything shown on screen will be the primary canon.

Movies and Tv decide what is canon, and the books have to fit into that.

Um, its not really breaking canon as it feels to me more like a recon to me.

Wether you think it’s neat or not is completely irrelevant to the fact of it having plot holes or not
