With the fandom back on the rise for the anniversary, it seems like the perfect time to discuss the movie series that has inspired our love of paleontology since the early 1990’s. The idea of bringing prehistoric beasts back to life is a tempting idea, but with money changing hands and the public being put in danger, who comes out as having the best intentions and who is only out for themselves no matter what the cost?
And let’s be real, it’s tough to keep your morality upright when you and the guy next to you are trying to outrun a velociraptor.

Why is Robert Muldoon in the Grey Area??? He’s a *great* man! He cares for his fellow workers, wants the raptors destroyed, agreed to go save Lex and Tim, saved Ellie and Ian from the T-Rex, volunteered to escort Ellie to the maintenance shed and attempted to shoot the raptors to protect her..... he just does his job! Definitely should be in the good!!

Ummmm, I definitely disagree, Eli Mills himself is definitely the most evil.
As he organized everything to bring the Dinosaurs back to the mainland and sell them on the black market. He also definitely told Wheatley to Leave Owen's group behind, and Personally killed Ben Lockwood.
He also attempted to kidnap Masie.
Also he is pretty much responsible for all of the deaths in Fallen Kingdom.
Spencer Bricklord47 Except for the dinosaur deaths. Those were either the volcano or the humans killing the indoraptor. But yeah agreed, until we see what goes on in Dominion, he is definitely the most evil to date.

Also if all Wu had done was make the Dinos, and then Jurassic World had never been built, but the Volcano was still to become dormant it's possible Mills would have the idea to sell the Dinos on the Black Market.

So yeah, while Wu is definitely evil, all things considered Mills is more evil. Seeing as he would have told Wheatley to leave Owen's group behind on the Island.

I would have put Hammond in the morally grey area. He's definitely egotistical and far too stubborn, but he only wanted to give people something wonderful. Kind of like a Jack Skelington/Walt Disney hybrid.
Plus from I’ve read, Hammond was a lot better a person than he was in the original novel. At least the movie Hammond genuine loved his grandchildren and realized he was wrong.
Hammond realized his mistake at the end of Jurassic Park so he gets some serious points for that.

Movie Hammond should’ve been neutral, he meant well but underestimated the dinosaurs. He also sent Sarah’s team in the second move in order to prevent something like what happened in the third movie
Besides, if Ludlow did succeed it is very possible a lot if people would have died if something went wrong with the cages. Which lets be honest something bad would happen.
Book Hammond was arguably the most evil but that probably goes to Dodson

How is John Hammond evil? Yes, he mostly neglects safety and has ego problems, but he did it out of the natural human desire to learn. He just wanted to make a sort of unique zoo/theme park. He didn't know how much trouble the dinosaurs would cause.
How? Since the very first scene in the franchise. It’d the reason why they were there in the first place. Not out of pure since curiosity & light of discover. It’s a superficial courtesy to keep (pun intended) Jurassic Park, open. Because an expert, license, professional, trained & weaponized, supervised by Robert Muldoon of all qualified agents s was killed by raptor, in botched transport. But, his resolution for this awful misfortune? Let’s bring more ppl here! Civilians! And kids! During a hurricane. But no worries! He spared no expense. Except for the proper seatbelts in a helicopter, (fyi: iDo get the subliminal) everything that boldfold lie he told Genarro about the moat, proper salary for Denis, less money to bribe Alan & Ellie, locking mechanisms on the vehicles door, insisting imprinting on birth every dinosaur but rage against Alan protecting Lex & Tim over the raptors current hunting them. And then, of course, the flea circus! John “The Con” Hammond
Don’t forget the novel version of Hammond! He literally couldn’t care less if his grandchildren died! Even worse, the only thing he cares about is MONEY! Not the safety of his workers, the safety of his guests, nothing but money on his mind! That’s the reason he started Jurassic park so late in his life, to make as much money as he could before he died.
A few things:
-As pointed out by others, Robert Muldoon belongs in the "good" category for his desire to protect others from the dinosaurs, standing up to Hammond, and ultimately sacrifices himself trying to keep Dr. Sattler safe.
-There wasn't one island. The parks, as well as the events of the original film and both Jurassic World films take place on Isla Nublar. The events of "The Lost World" and "Jurassic Park III" take place on Isla Sorna.
-Finally, Paul and Amanda deserve to be at the very bottom for setting off the events of Jurassic Park III. I don't mean the events were particularly evil, but charging people to see that movie was downright diabolical.

Okay how is Roland not higher? He came off pretty heroic, especially after subduing the T-Rex and saving both parties on Isla Sorna. Their hunting dangerous beasts, and they can’t use any ability to outsmart that with in is both your prey and hunter.
Relating to your description of Tim and Lex, I have one complaint about your channel - you often judge characters based on actions rather than intentions. Carelessness does NOT lower morality.

Robert Muldoon was a good guy and Hammond was more a grey area guy. Also where was Udesky? He played a big enough role to warrant being included on the list. Also Eli should’ve been the most evil by a long shot. He actually killed a real dying human who had morally good intentions by suffocating him with a pillow.
John Hammond was more of an evil guy in the book than he was in the movie.
In the movie, he has a little bit more of a heart.
Hammond had questionable ethics, but he had pure intentions. I would have put him in the grey area.
Hammond should be gray zone he cared for safety but he did not know that his park would cause this much trouble

Yep, Movie Hammond and the Hammond from the novel are two completely different people. Of course, if the movie closely followed the book from the beginning, Wu would not have had the chance to even come close to being most evil.

IN DEFENSE OF HAMMOND:
I don’t agree with Hammond being so far down the list. He made a lot of foolish and morally questionable decisions, but he was anything but malicious in the way that Nedry or his own nephew were (who you left out). He was a dreamer who wanted to use science to bring delight to children all over the world. And when the park went down, he did insisted that the park system be shut down and restart with the line “PEOPLE ARE DYING!” He also saw the light and realized that the park was unsavable when Grant told him that he refused to endorse the park, to which Hammond replied “so do I...”. In the second film, Hammond does send a team but as a way to use public opinion to preserve Isla Sorna as a natural preserve after his scheming nephew takes control of InGen by force. The nephew also orchestrated the entire expedition to steal dinosaurs from Isla Sorna and brought them to San Diego, which led to a heavily juiced Tyrannosaurus wreaking havok on the city, killing dozens of people, and eating a cute doggo.
Hammond should be grey while his nephew takes Hammond’s spot
I agree with everything you said, except saying that Ludlow deserves bronze of evil.
Now while taking animals of the Island is an awful idea, he was atleast looking out for the company as it was bankrupt and bleeding g from the throat, also Mills deserved the gold as he was like Ludlow, but only looked out for himself

In all honesty, while they have made mistakes in the Jurassic park and Jurassic World films, I don't believe that John Hammond and his successor Simon deserve to be in the bad to evil category. At best they deserve to be in the grey area since they both tried to make up for their mistakes.

I disagree with the putting of Roland Tembo on the evil spectrum. he stood up in defense of the waitress being harassed, as well as aiding Hamonds team after they were pushed over the cliff by the Rex's... he also showed genuine concern for Sarah when he saw she had blood on her, as well as shielding Malcoms daughter from the news of the horrific death of the one guy from the compies.... his only crime was working for Ludlow, but then you could say the same for Owen working for Hoskins, and I see you didn't.
Roland is a noble character, and a fan favorite.

In Fallen Kingdom he seemed more concerned with furthering his research, and was upset with the idea of Selling the prototype Indoraptor
In Camp Cretaceous Season 3 he was originally considered about his research, but he considers his dinosaurs as majestic and was concerned once he learned E750 escaped. And trying to get Halks to leave the kids alone.
But in JW and CC S1 his main concern is creating the Indominus and getting fame, and while it makes sense he would be mad about Brooklyn sneeking into his private office, he was hiding some serious stuff in there
He might be redeemed in "Jurassic World: Dominion".

How was the little girl supposed to know that shining a flashlight would alert a T-Rex? That seems like something most people would have done to make sure they could see whatever could sneak up on them in the dark.
Besides her and her brother did a good bit to help the others in the first movie and from the way I see it didn’t really do anything wrong at least intentionally. They may have made some not so great choices but at least they were generally kind and helpful all the way through. :)

So why is Muldoon in the grey area? When called upon he went out to pick up the others, willingly walked into a raptor infested jungle because he knew he and Ellie wouldn’t make it to power shed without someone going off to essentially be bait and therefore sacrificing himself to save the others(notice how no one died after he did) and he was the one who didn’t even want the raptors in the park in the first place. Muldoon was a very good man who basically sacrificed himself to get Ellie to the power shed

John Hammond wasn't evil. He just didn't know better. He decided not to indorce his park at the end, too. He was more good than you gave him credit for.

Yeah true i literally agree with you and also Hammond deserves to be in the good tier he tried his best to maintain the park and tried to rescue the survivors during the first film and when he was talking to Ellie and he literally began to regret it and he accepts Ellie message that people are important and send Muldoon to rescue his grandchildren Hammond doesn’t deserve on evil tier!!!

Roland shouldn't be in evil he didn't really care for the operation and just wanted to get the rex he showed sympathy for those who died and turned his back on ingen after realising they were wrong. His reasoning for going is understandable and he earned nicks respect.
After watching Dominion Dodgeson would for sure be in the evil part of the list, maybe even the most evil.
And Henry wu would Land in the grey area as he did redeem himself in dominion.

Correct me if I missed it, but where is Peter Ludlow? You know, the guy that took control of InGen away from Hammond (aka his own uncle), and hired all those hunters to capture the dinosaurs? And, oh yeah, bought the T-Rex to San Diego? Anyone remember that little scene from The Lost World: Jurassic Park?

I think John Hammond deserves to be on the good end of the neutral spectrum. first of all, his motive for creating the dinosaurs had absolutely nothing to do with greed. He just wanted to create something that could amaze people without having to trick people using illusions to do so. And even if his creations did kill a lot of people, not only did he not intend for that to happen, but it wasn't even his fault. John had every reason to believe that the park was safe. The only reason the dinosaurs managed to escape captivity was because a disgruntled employ decided to sabotage the entire security system, which would have otherwise contained the dinosaurs, so it was really more Dennis Nedry's fault than it was John Hammond's. Also, you mentioned the fact he sent people back to the Island in the second movie, despite what happened in the first one, but the only reason he sent people back was because the dinosaurs were very territorial with the herbivores tending to stick to one side of the island and the carnivores sticking to the other. The only reason they were in any danger was because the other team, which John had tried and failed to prevent from going to the island, kidnapped the baby T-Rex, drawing in the baby's parents and changing the T-Rex's perceived territory. Basically, anything that John Hammond sets in motion is carefully planned so that no-one will get hurt and the only reason people do end up getting hurt is because someone else decides to screw it up.

Ok, I really don’t think Hammond was evil. He wanted to bring dinosaurs back to life and show them off in a theme park, not use it to attack people or anything. He should be in the gray area.
He was greedy and very stingy about everything relating to people. Need-To-Know and Can-It-Be-Cheaper were his flaws as just one break in his system and all collapses.

And in Lost World his whole motivation is too keep the animals safe, which would also keep humanity somewhat safer cause had Ludlow succeed the dinosaurs could have escaped.
And Don't say the hervibors wouldn't cause damage cause they do, in Lost World and Fallen Kingdom.
Granted Hervibors are safer, they're still severely dangerous
if the dinosaurs were included then the most evil of them would probably either the Spino or the Indo Rex
I think if anything Roland and Ajay should have been ranked together in the Gray Area, Dieter Stark and the Hunters in the Gray area, or bad. And Peter Ludlow in the Evil area.
Hammond and Simon should be in the grey since they did try to help stop the chaos, Hammond couldn’t do a lot due to his age and Simon actually died trying to stop the indominus

BTW, I DEFINATELY disagree with John Hammond in the Bad section because even though he came up with the idea of bringing dinosaurs back to life, he just wanted to do it for entertainment and was even excited about it. He was a very nice guy and was even concerned about the survival of his grandchildren. He also did'nt want to argue with Dennis and said "I don't blame people for their mistakes". To be honest, I thought John Hammond was going to be most good, or at least, in that section. I was very surprised to see him in the Bad section. Also, I disagree with a handful of characters in the grey area, like Sarah, Nick, Eric's parents, Robert Muldoon, and Ian's daughter.
Thank you! There were so many characters that deserve to be ranked higher than they were especially characters like Hammond and his grandchildren. This list did good on many of the characters but I think it payed too much attention to the flaws and unintentionally tossed the good traits to the side (no offense)

I've been waiting for this Good to Evil video for a long time good work as always, for further Good to Evil Pokemon Human Characters Good to Evil and since there are way too many characters from the anime you should break it down by each series starting with the characters appearing in the Indigo League then move onto to Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and so on.
I think Eddie Carr should get the gold medal. He is the only characther who only did only good. He protected Kelly and was a kind hearted man. He even sacrificed his own life. A shocking end for a soul of pure good. And Muldoon was also pure good. How was he in the grey area?

I don't believe Masrani belongs in the evil territory, more in the grey area. You didn't account for the fact that he did carry his predecessors vision and had a similar charisma to Hammond as to build the vision of a zoo like never seen for everyone. And He told off Wu saying he did not want a monster or something that dangerous, but more teeth and somethingto excite people. Finally, he did step up when the danger came and flew a chopper to help find the Indo-Rex and gave his life to do what he could to save life from the monster he was responsible of conceiving. What he authorized was negligence and is responsible for the death count and pain and suffering for the surviving patrons of the park but this was done out of carelessness, not greed and ego

I always thought John Hammond was a good guy underneath with good intentions, but he has very bad sense of judgement and also a bad judge of character at times. He sincerely believes he's doing a good thing, but never stopped to think of the consequences of his actions.
Yes! In the movie, he’s just a goofy old fart who didn’t really think things through. He should have had generators on the island and never should have hired Nedry, but…..he didn’t know that Nedry was a greedy pig in more ways than one. Now, in the book….Hammond’s a greedy bastard, but….rather sweet and relatively harmless in the movie, especially when you compare him to the likes of Mills, Nedry, Wu, and Hoskins, to name but four.
I'm aware of John's character in the book. I'm glad the movie made him so much more likeable, if a bit goofy.
