What a lovely story of how God has directed your lives! On a side note - and I'm sorry if this sounds snarky - the modern day habit of ending words, phrases and sentences with an upward inflection as if asking a question has become epidemic. It does serve to undermine ones dignity and authority, particularly as a business owner. It leads to others thinking they can manipulate you, as if you not know your own mind, so they'll make it up for you. The bold move you guys have made and the faith you are exercising deserves to be recognized even in your physical posture and speech patterns. People have respect for us based on what respect we show ourselves and what respect we exude. Personally, watching my posture and speech patterns are two things I'm constantly working on these days bc of how sloppy I've gotten in the last few years. Gravity and troubles can just wear you down. I keep reminding myself of who we are in Christ, that He invests His authority in everyday people bc He does not see us that way. Daily I square my shoulders, adjust my posture and check my speech -- not trying to be somebody I'm not -- but trying to be the best me that I can be, the one God created in His image, with His help (which admittedly, the longer I live, the more I need d bless your endeavors!
Well, I missed all the excitement because I've not gotten notifications for your videos. I resubscribed and hopefully from now on... I am waiting to sell a property to get a beautiful 4.5 acre land which was cow pasture. I've been praying the land doesn't sell before all this happens!! Thanks for the breakdown! I'll be living in an apartment just three minutes from the land in a tiny town in mid-Missouri. I can't wait! Your adventure fills me with hope! I'm a single, older woman, but I'll be starting slowly.
Omg I can't believe y'all used to live in Paris, my husband's family moved up there from FLA, too cool. Has the weather or zone difference if there is one been an issue ❤️ Flowergirl plants
I've followed your RUclips channel from the beginning ...because of the similar interest in plants. Everything you are doing is what, through the years, I dreamed of. But life took me in a different direction, and now the years have come and gone and I find myself in the sunset years of life. I am genuinely happy for you and admiring of your fortitude. I will continue to watch, with great interest, how (the plant part of) life unfolds for you. And, in the process, I can see my dream realized through you. I wish and pray for you the greatest of success and fulfillment. It looks like, as you grow plants, you are more importantly investing in and growing some wonderful children. God alone knows how your work ethic and your stepping out in faith will positively impact them. I wish you and your family all the best! Blessings!!!
We are in this process too. We are in California. Our septic with permits cost $18,000. And that's a regular septic. Not one of the fancy mound ones or the ones with pumps and aerators etc.
I admire you guys. 28 years ago my wife and I ventured out on 3 acres of land and put our house down . You two remind me so much of ourselves . It's encouraging to see that you are willing to slowly expand as the finances allow. You will eliminate much stress by doing it this way. Now that I am 60 years old my health insurance is really a blessing to have. I hope that you have planned for that for your family. I wish you all good things. I will eagerly wait for each update.
Your videos are reliving our lives over the past 2 years. My motto is to do something for your nursery every single day. Keep working hard and know there's a guy in northern Michigan out sticking cuttings in the snow!
Craig and Casey, Love following your journey and progress! Your faith and hard work are going to blossom into and amazing blessing for your family! 👍🙏🏼👍🙏🏼 Have followed you for a long time now and learned much from you as we are starting our own home based nursery. Look forward to seeing you prosper and lots more videos!
I am so thankful to have found your channel. Your family is truly amazing and beautiful. What a wonderful life for all of you. It’s so nice to see a family kids and all working and jumping for joy (savvy daughter response to power pole dropping into place) together. You just don’t see that much these days. Thank you for the window into your incredible world. ❤
We moved out of a big brick home to a double wide that looks almost just like that but we have 30 aces now. And I love are little home a lot more then other place
I like the fact that you have been very forthcoming in your journey and have explained in detail all of the finer points of the process. I think you will grow quickly in your nursery business and your RUclips experience. I just hope that down the road and when the serious money starts coming in you will not sell out to the sponsors like so many RUclipsr content providers do.
I appreciate that! I'm not sure what "selling out to the sponsors" means, exactly, but I'll try not to do that. But, we do speak with them regularly, and we decline several a week.
Holy cow! You guys have done some great work. I have a small 2.5 acre farm in Massachusetts and the prices that you quoted wouldn't get a chicken coop built, never mind all the work that you got done. We should think about relocating to Alabama. I am very happy for you folks. Keep going.
Very happy for you guys!! And yes, gotta have patience. I am surprised that you didn't have a well dug. For the nursery portion at least, I would have thought that would be cheaper in the long run.
♥♥♥Just love your new property and dream! I wait for new videos every day! It is progressing beautifully, you work so hard at it! Prayers for you everyday! love you
I don't think we've achieved anything yet. We'll be homeless in a year if a bunch of things don't come together - BUT, we're going to do everything we can!
That is a nice piece of land and a great price, imo. Your 14 year old granddaughter is quite the worker and good old "pioneer" quality work ethics. You don't see that much anymore in young people and I think it's great. That's a great job on the fence and all of the work you put in is admirable. Thank you for sharing. That was great information. Do you see your self putting on livestock, chickens and a food garden for your selves on down the road?
So happy for you guys! I wish the prices were the same here in Maryland. I'm still in the process of getting my little nursery off the ground. Wishing everyone the best and looking forward to seeing the progress with the next leg of your journey!
Land is high everywhere In area while on the average for 15 acres is 7.5 million and that's with no electricity water or gas. I bought my place last year I have learnt how to put up fences and corrales. It takes time patients money and a lot of hard work
When we put our first plants in, we had no electricity, and wouldn't for quite some time. Also, the irrigation meter ran about $1,000, vs $5k+ for a well, still no electricity. Water here is cheap. In the long term, we may eventually need a well. Right now, I can't see a need for it.
Congrats on the big move! I'm enjoying following your progress. Very interesting. So are you renting the double wide or did you have to buy it? Any idea how long you will be living in it? Thanks.
I'm disabled with PTSD but I have hopes of starting a small nursery. Thanks for all you do for your viewers, I've learned a ton
YOU can do it.

You were smart to not take on a lot of debt early in the process.

Always trying to be as transparent as possible!
Thank you for sharing all the behind the scenes info. I love the Kiddo's channel too!
We are in this process too. We are in California. Our septic with permits cost $18,000. And that's a regular septic. Not one of the fancy mound ones or the ones with pumps and aerators etc.
Awful. No way we could even attempt this with prices like that.

They aren't accurate to the penny, but they're very close!
Very happy for you guys!! And yes, gotta have patience. I am surprised that you didn't have a well dug. For the nursery portion at least, I would have thought that would be cheaper in the long run.
1. Our water is very cheap. 2. What’s cheaper in the long run isn’t always feasible in the short.
♥♥♥Just love your new property and dream! I wait for new videos every day! It is progressing beautifully, you work so hard at it! Prayers for you everyday! love you

Great video, one question. Why not have a well drilled for your business instead of county water lines?
When we put our first plants in, we had no electricity, and wouldn't for quite some time. Also, the irrigation meter ran about $1,000, vs $5k+ for a well, still no electricity. Water here is cheap. In the long term, we may eventually need a well. Right now, I can't see a need for it.
Just curious why you didn’t go with a well? Love your channel! ❤️
WAAY too expensive compared to the alternative.
Great video, thank you. Did you guys work in a nursery before starting your own?
No, we're making it up and learning as we go. thanks!
Sorry to keep bugging you guys but where and what do you call ground cover, nursery matt!?
Woven ground cloth/cover
Congrats on the big move! I'm enjoying following your progress. Very interesting. So are you renting the double wide or did you have to buy it? Any idea how long you will be living in it? Thanks.
Bought the trailer... don't know how long... depends on how long it takes to save money for a house.
