How to remove the front door panels in a Toyota Corolla 2012 - 2016

- This video is part of a complete audio upgrade in a 2014 Toyota Corolla S. In this video we will show you how to remove the door panel. This will give you access to upgrade / replace the stock speakers in your Toyota Corolla. Using our plug and play harnesses along with our plug and play amplifiers, we will take this stock vehicle system and boost the power from 18 watts to 70 watts RMS to each speaker. In addition, we will be adding a downfire subwoofer box loaded with two 10” subwoofers.

Thanks for the vid. I just replaced a lock actuator on a 2014 Corolla with your help. The only difference is that I just reached behind the panel and disconnected the harness for the power switches opposed to taking it apart.
Awesome! This is exactly the same as my 2014 Toyota Auris Estate. I did not need to do anything with wiring as I was actually just replacing the wing mirror and needed the panel off to get to the connector. I therefore only watched until 2:15. To re-attach the door panel remember to wind the window down and hang the panel back on from the top using the guides along the top of the door panel. This puts your door panel perfect back into alignment and you can gently bang the clips back in and do the screws up again.
In case it's useful, I used a plastic silicone sealant finishing tool to prise off the handle cover (see 0:57) as it has a gentle edge and is designed to not scratch, and I happened to have an old one in my toolbox.
Beware as the little plastic clips can fall out of the door panel as you remove the panel, just pick them up and slide them back in to their slot on the door panel if they do. Do not let them roll down a drain as I did because you'll have to remove the drain cover and that's not coverer in this video :-)

This video needs to be updated and named only for 2014-2019. Because it's not for 2012 and newer. 2012 has a different panel.

Thanks bubba big help but a couple clips got stuck in the door. N.p just put back in the groove. I ended up dropping my c.c in the door which is why I needed this video thanks again man.
You did not have to remove the master switch and cushion for arm rest when you had already removed the whole door panel. You could have just disconnected it from the other side after you removed it.

With grinder for metal and dremel tool for door panel, can we custom fit 6x9 on the doors? Can we do it without having to deface any of the door panel that will be visible after installation?

you probably dropped a screw and now its chilling in there
just saw this . . you probably have a screw or broken plastic from a retainer in there per comment below.
Why
most people do this so they can access the speakers in the doors., usually for an upgrade of if they are no longer working.
