Awesome video, Luke! It reminds me of when I checked out Letchworth Village near NYC years ago. I might be the only one old enough to remember what a chinning bar is. When I was a little girl in the 80’s, a chinning bar was an activity during gym class where you had to do a pull-up and touch your chin to the bar. There were competitions to see which student could do the most chin-ups, hold the position, etc.
Thank you!! Letchworth definitely has some similarities, that place has it own type of vibe for sure. To be honest I now know what a chinning bar is, I just didn’t think that looked anything like a modern day chinning bar per say. I bet you won the competition, you should get credit where credit is due💯 I’ve wanted to redo this video for about a year now, I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
@@TheLukeExplores Ironically, I was the nerd in school who had the athletic skills and ambition as MTV’s Daria. I started taking my personal fitness seriously around age 16 to prepare myself for a career in the fire department. I miss it sometimes, to be honest. Good times. 🚒
One of my all time favorite places- it’s the only abandoned place where I’ve truly felt history flooding the hallways of each building, every single time. Hope you enjoyed, definitely looking to return to Yellow dog in the near future. Hit me up on ig
For those of you worried about security remember if they see you they will not go inside a building looking for you! Don't be loud, don't be obvious, don't set off fireworks, don't vandalize and don't make yourself obvious!
Algorithm time! Let's go! (Remember you don't have tor respond to all of these time stamps) 1:17 that's definitely human, but damn that's so creepy!! Imagine having seen that at night... 2:37 wow that's the cleanest bed at forest haven 😭 3:13 had rem pod activity on the reception desk at one point 3:51 i might be wrong but that might of been one of the patients restraint beds 5:07 imagine if those buttons on those chairs did work... 9:18 how the hell are those chairs not vandalized? And how come I've never seen this room 😭 then again I've only ever gone at night
10:11 so weird seeing that spot during the daytime, instead of night, it's trippy 10:42 excellent question...I don't know if they even had vendors inside asylums... 11:18 the main building looks so beautiful...but of course, that's what evil does, it always wears a disguise 12:16 Scott took a picture in that chair lol, I have it somewhere 14:18 how the hell are the blinds still standing and not destroyed!? 😮 14:49 first time seeing the X-ray machine,I swear I missed so much! 16:23 be careful, I've hit my face on that panel screen a lot 💀 17:34 no way that window isn't actually smashed, holy cow a room that doesn't completely look destroyed 19:51 that's one thing I've never done, saw the inside of the trailers, so thanks and it probably was where the employees stayed 21:36 This whole time there's been a arcade room?!?? 23:08 I wou have had to of kept that original outfit, that's honestly insane that it was still there!!! 25:00 it's sad that a patient had to be a certain weight, just goes to show how messed up they truly were 25:11 I'm no professional but I believe a chinning bar is where you stood inside that box and the bar would lift up or down to adjust to your "chin" level, hence the name, I could be wrong though 25:32 definitely haven't been up there yet 28:45 that church will forever stick with me from that night when I heard the preacher and the audience through the spirit box... laughing and talking, very haunting night... Overall great explore!!! You don't have to read all this, just hoping it helps the algorithm, and that place is just hell, I feel bad for all the people that went through it,and everytime I go there it's the same sinister feeling...
Brother I read every word and I agree with you on everything. Thanks for always commenting and showing your appreciation man. Cannot wait to explore with you again asap
Finding human bones was one of the most startling discoveries I’ve personally ever made- in fact it tops the charts by a landslide…. If anyone has any info on the mass graves, feel free to send me a message!
Thanks for letting me know, RUclips 🙄 This was super creepy, I loved it!!! So sad that people turned places like this from good, to evil. I'm willing to bet on everything I own, that if you did a ghost explore here, you'd find something good! Great work, loved the pics and all the info. I'm gonna have to try and find that documentary for sure
I’ve done a few ghost hunts off camera here, and I have to say we have gotten different levels of activity. I’m going to get a good hunt here eventually…. I’ve tried to film one and I wasn’t happy with how it came out
Also on the documentary, RUclips seems to have removed it from its platform. I’m going to look into why and where to find it but there isn’t anything on there at the moment. Which is weird. But I will find it. Glad you enjoyed, hit me up on ig for sure so we can talk further. Thanks for your support as always Mary 💯💯💯
the first trailer on the property was for security in 1997. the rest must have came after 2001. some staff stayed at houses on site back then also. the church was redone in 1998 also. one of the buildings was used as a boot camp in 1997.they had a separate girls detention center from the boys.
@@TheLukeExplores juvenile male & female detention center was open. Oak Hill youth center & Cedar Knoll youth center I worked security 1996-2001 those years. the new center is called New Hope or beginnings now I think. Had to keep the press from getting in & juveniles from breaking out.
If I had to rate the difficulty 1-10 I’d say prob abt a 4. But that four involves a decent amount of risk and a long woods walk! Place has changed a lot in the last few years but obviously still a stunning spot. Would 10/10 recommend. Glad you enjoyed:)
Great explore Luke. I think institutions like this with poor reputations, it’s easy to tarnish everyone with the same brush as abusers. I’m sure there were workers there who genuinely cared about the patients etc.
Thank you Derren, one of my all time favorite locations. I’m sure your right, there were probably some good people who worked here- it’s a shame the entire place gets such a poor reputation. Totally different kind of vibe when you mix location with history such as this. Thanks for the support as always 💯
Great vid! When you filmed this did you encounter a vehicle impound lot behind the admin building? If you did, did you see any security? I plan on going there soon. Thanks!
Impound lot has been gone for nearly a year if not more. There is also active security, but it’s really easy to dodge them. Thanks for watching man, be safe!
I was sexually abused, hit, put in cold showers in psychiatric place between the year 2000 and 2004 in a suburb to Stockholm, Sweden and that place is still open so things happen still
Not only was this shot this year, I’ve also been here about 1/2 dozen other times. As far as I know, as long as nothings changed in the last month or so, it should still be pretty easy
@@TheLukeExplores im fr what makes you think that the bones you found outside the facility are human bones I’ve been there the bodies have been reburied due to erosion
@Restinpeacetompenny outside the facility? It was dead smack in the middle of the asylum brother. I’m fr you would have known that if you’ve been there? Please, I’ve been to forest haven nearly 30 times. I know what is and is not supposed to be there.
