Dope bro! 🔥
Thank you ✨👊🏾🤩👍🏾
This, Scaler EQ and Ableton 12's new MIDI tools especially (Chef's kiss 😙)
I haven’t had a chance to try the new Scaler EQ nor Ableton 12 MIDI tools. So you’re saying both are worth picking up?💯✨
@@iamherotv Ah, I'm just going by the Ableton 12 trailer. The MIDI tools look very useful in creating tracks on the fly and with good variation. Locking into key etc as well should be very useful. Scaler EQ is a cracking bit of software. Boosts the key of your song using EQ. It's a wonder no one has done it before.
@Johnnyjawbone Put my preorder of Ableton 12 in. I’m excited for the new MIDI tools and updated piano roll workflow updates.🤩✨

@@iamherotvalready had scaler 2… just got melody sauce
@@JusShaneNice!🔥
I’ve been using scaler 2 for about a week, and I just picked up Melody Sauce today.
I’ve learned that my biggest problem is not being able to “picture” a melodic presence on top of the chords so I tend to try to be too melodic with the chords themselves, and I don’t get anywhere because I’m not satisfied with the progression I’m hearing.
Using melody sauce for just about an hour now, I think it’s really going to help me there. I find its melodies to be no more than good support tunes, and so far I find anything other than a simple melody to be intrusive, but I admit it’s only been an hour.
Just turning it on, however, gives me some random harmonies and let’s me hear the base chords in a better context.
Hi @Blendercage 👋 - I like where you head is at.💯✨ When I first started with Scaler 2, I too was struggling with the melodic side of things, even though Scaler 2 has melody features. Melody Sauce 2 has helped me to write better melodies, but even then I use it as a starting point to help generate ideas when I am drawing a blank.
One thing I like to do with Melody Sauce that tends to help, is instead of playing with the built-in sounds...route Melody Sauce to a different plugin while changing presets/sounds in the different plugin. If possible, keep your eyes closed while cycling through the sounds. This technique helps my mind and ears to conceptualize where I can take the beat...also happy accidents can happen this way. 👊🏾🤩👍🏾
Nice vid. Yes I have both, and playbeat and some other creative vst's. Sometimes MS just gets too busy with the melody so it takes a bit of work to get the sound right.
Thanks for watching and for the feedback. Totally understand how Melody Sauce can get busy. I tent to either remove and/or move notes after dragging the midi to my daw or have Melody Sauce generate less complex melodies.
Dope!!
Really helpful. Suggestion - don’t use the same track to back the video - it weakens the fun/surprise element of hearing you create.
@gkunz3 Thanks! 🙏🏾 And you are super right about not using the same track being created as the background music. I have stopped doing that on my more recent videos.💯✨
🤓
Cheers mate.
Cheers to you too! 🙏🏾✨💯
