I'm the one person in the world that thinks Tailgunner is horribly generic and cliché and I love 80s influenced metal - bored me to tears when I saw them live, far too polished for me. Moan over 😅
Great response James… as I always expected it to be! Your location is so handy for gigs isn’t it… as every band passes thru London on tour! Great shouts with ‘Nile’ & ‘Pestilence’ btw! All the best for 2024 my friend!🤘🏻
Cheers mate. Yeah very lucky being so close to London, we have the pick of the gigs here usually. Nile and Pestilence are both solid bands with amazing discographies. Thanks mate and hope you have a great year too my friend
Nice job with the Metal Tag James. I was happy when the Heavy Metallurgy guys Jumped in to keep it going. I loved doing it last year. Some great answers, yes Bon Jovi took a nosedive unfortunately. Also noticed you have the WASP boxset, i bought that as a xmas present to myself. Really enjoying listening to it as only knew a few songs previously. Cheers Mate!.
Great response James. Deicide is one I really looking forward to. Sorry for stealing your dragon, hehe. Agree on Senjutsu, shorter versions of the songs would lift the album a lot. Pestilence is a killer pick. Eddie rules in the realm of mascots. Cheers. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Cheers Roger. No worries man, I had Malmsteen in mind for the dragon question if Dio popped up in another video. Pestilence I feel are a little underrated, especially their more recent output. Cheers mate 👍
Puppets is just a banger mate, of course I need 6 versions 😂 Yeah the Tailgunner is great mate, glad i finally picked it up. Cheers Marty as always mate 👍
Cool response! 'Master...' is a masterpiece IMO and well worth owning on multiple formats. With you on Bon Jovi there. It's strange that HMV is known for insane prices, because, when I lived in Manchester in the 2000s, they had a lot of really cheap CDs, DVDs, and PC games. That Maiden t-shirt is really cool! Agree 167% on Eddie :)
The prices for records in HMV these days are crazy expensive mate. Yeah MOP is an absolute masterpiece and definitely worth having on multiple formats. Cheers Kim
Hi James!! So glad to see your entry to this year pretty cool and with some clever questions Metal Tag..... Cool Maiden and Metallica's picture disc. Can't say i disagree with your thoughts about Bon Jovi. Totally agree with you about our good pal Eddie!!! cheers and be well
Great response, James. I reckon being an hour away from London is pretty ideal for gigs. I still need to invest some time in Nile, once I pick something up of course. I look forward to seeing your AOTY list 🤘
Thanks Sean. Very lucky being close to London with regards to gigs, everyone played there. Nile are definitely worth checking out of you like your Death Metal. Cheers man, I'm looking forward to doing the list. Nice one mate 👍
Great Metal tag response mate. I’m the same with travel distance to a major city only takes about 1hour to Melbourne and about 20mins to a smaller city to see gigs.
Congratz to nr 200 James! Didn´t know Deicide had an album for this year, very cool! That RE-Animater album scream skate punk in my eyes. I agree with your Coffin Mulch thought, the EP was better in my opinion. I would not say it disappointed, it was in the lower end of my top 20 list but as you said, I was not blown away. Sweet answers to the tag James! Cheers!
Definitely looking forward to that new Deicide mate. Yeah the Coffin Mulch album is good but didn't live up to the hype for me. Cheers Daniel, much appreciated mate 👍
Quality response here, James. 'Housewife Rock' is the most perfect description of latter-day Bon Jovi I have ever heard! 😂 Impressive MoP collection! I've actually only just picked it up on vinyl, in the new 'Battery Brick Red' edition. Unfathomable! 😂 Can't say I'm too fussed about Deicide these days, but I'm shocked about your opinions on Coffin Mulch! Blinder of an album! Not quite as shocked as with your repeated recent takes on Like An Ever-Flowing Stream, however! 😜 Enema of the State is a belter! Cheers! 🤘
Master of Puppets is one if the best albums ever recorded in my opinion. Absolute banger. Yeah Enema of The State is awesome, listened to it constantly back in the late 90s. Cheers mate 👍
Bit late watching this one had a busy weekend so I'm playing catch up with my youtube viewing but priest and saxon I'm looking forward to this year hopefully I can buy a few more new releases as I only bought one in 2023 last year was all about picking up used cds and filling in the holes in bands back catalogues!
I'm with you 100% on Nile. They played in Coventry, my home city, late in 2022. Couldn't believe it! Best Ancient Egyptian panto ever! And their live sound was outstanding. Krisiun were pretty damn good too.
Would you ever upload a video showing ALL of your Maiden collection?? Forgive me if it’s done before but I’d love to see what you have! Love your content and wealth of knowledge Onward!
Hi. Yes at some point i will be uploading a video with my entire Maiden collection to the channel. Thanks very much for your kind words, their very much appreciated
Logistically you’re very lucky of where you live, you can pick and choose the shows you want to see! Good to see some Cattle Decapitation, I pass on their early work but these past 4 albums have been great! Looking forward to you’re year end list 🤘
I am very lucky not living far from London, pretty much every band is available to me to go see live. I'm looking forward to diving deep into Cattle Decapitation's discography. Cheers mate as always 👍
Great response there James. Nice collection of master of puppets, an album worthy of having on multiple formats. Yeah Somewhere in time Eddie is probably the best version of him for me. The t-shirt you have is ace. I think Coffin Mulch suffer a bit from sounding a bit too much like the Swedish sound and yeah perhaps all the hype around it built it up a bit too much, but it's still a great album. Good to hear tailgunner getting a mention, definitely a band to keep tabs on.
Cheers Grant. Puppets is one of my favourite albums ever so,great to have it on multiple formats. Agreed on Tailgunner, looking forward to more from them
Nice response there chief. Can't believe you've done over 200 videos! You're well past me . Couldn't agree more with bon Jovi, that band has not aged well at all! Top video 🤘
1. Judas Priest - Invincible Shield 2. Dio - Killing the Dragon 3. Black Sabbath - Heaven & Hell 4. I don't understand buying a digital copy of an album. RUclips and Spotify exist, right? 5. Metal Church - The Human Factor or Hanging in the Balance 6. Slayer 7. It would be fun, but I've never blind bought anything. 8. Most of my albums are only on vinyl and CD. 9. I love reading, but most books don't really grab me that much. 10. Flotsam & Jetsam 11. Can't answer. 12. Sodom 13. Voivod 14. Can't answer. 15. Metallica - 72 Seaons 16. I have a vintage t-shirt with The Number of the Beast cover. Very colorful and looks great. 17. Overkill 18. Eddie 19. Testament - The New Order 20. Rainbow - Long Live Rock ’n’ Roll
Great response & answers, James! I have a feeling the new Deicide will be as good or even better than Overtures of Blasphemy. I agree, Nile are a very consistent band and their Egyptian theme makes them stand out. Iron Maiden's later day albums after Brave New World are needlessly too long.
Can't wait for the new Deicide mate and yes Nile are superb and uniting the Death Metal world. I still enjoy the latter day Maiden albums but they are all definitely too long. Cheers Tony
I forgot to post a picture of the Tailgunner album for Question 7. Sorry about the that guys
Tailgunner are playing at this year's Stonedead Festival.
@neilbower9052 Gutted I'm not going to that. The line up is stellar

Thanks Keith. Yeah Bon Jovi stopped putting out great albums a long time ago. Yeah the WASP box set is excellent, really enjoying it. Cheers mate 👍
Will have to dig out my Somewhere on Tour t-shirt from 86 when I see the mighty Maiden in June. Only taken nearly 39 years to see the live again!😂
Yeah I'm looking forward to seeing them again next year too
Cheers Glen

Great response James, love all the editions of Puppets
Picked up the Tailgunner on picture disc, very good album
Fantastic answers Mate 🤘
Puppets is just a banger mate, of course I need 6 versions 😂 Yeah the Tailgunner is great mate, glad i finally picked it up. Cheers Marty as always mate 👍

Hi James!! So glad to see your entry to this year pretty cool and with some clever questions Metal Tag..... Cool Maiden and Metallica's picture disc. Can't say i disagree with your thoughts about Bon Jovi. Totally agree with you about our good pal Eddie!!! cheers and be well
Love those picture discs and yes Bon Jovi's recent output is terrible. Cheers Cristian

@@mrboulder9714 Glad we could help out while the Rock Scout was busy
@@letstalkmetal You guys did a great job with Mike. Cheers
Happy new Year from Ireland Mr boulder.
Happy New year Marty. Thanks for watching fella 👍
Great Metal tag response mate. I’m the same with travel distance to a major city only takes about 1hour to Melbourne and about 20mins to a smaller city to see gigs.
We're both in the same boat then mate. I'm off to see Xentrix in a few weeks and the venue is only a 30 minute drive away. Good times
Great response James, loving that Master Of Puppets picture disc 😍. Happy new year mate!
Cheers Andy. Yeah that Puppets picture disc looks great, really glad to have it in the collection. Happy New Year to you too mate 👍
Good response James. I totally agree with Bon Jovi too. You have it sweet whete you're positioned for gigs. Its horrendous up here 😂
Cheers Mike. Yeah very lucky to be so close to London here for gigs. Those old school Bon Jovi albums are great, the newer ones are horrible
Great answers.
Cheers Todd, thanks for watching

Good choices - I got “no prayer for the dying “ for my Christmas on tape
I thought it was a great album then and I still think it’s a great album now
Agreed fella. Another album that doesn't deserve it's bad album reputation. Cheers

I would also class AC-DC as metal, there's more punch to their music than a lot of metal bands.
I'd agree with that. They are also a huge influence on many Metal bands.
Hey I didn't know 3 chord Dave had this channel 😂😅
That's gone over my head?
HaHa!! 'housewife rock'
😂 That's definitely the market they were going for then
