Im bummed hearing that Matt from The Dark Path decided to quit doing his channel. He was one of my other top favorite record collection channels along with yours.
I think we were supposed to do a Necrophagia live deep dive, but alas, it wasn't meant to be. But maybe on your channel when the season of the dead comes back around...
Yea It was a battle with the punk guys at the time because they hated everything metal which I can't really blame them as we came into their scene and kinda took it over with all the crossover shit . Cheers!
Yea, I actually liked Coma but I rarely play it, seems like a band just going through the motions at this point . I think some bands should just tour at this point but I understand that they still need the support from a label, so I get it. Cheers!
Hey Dennis, great stuff as always. I once had that English Dogs "Forward into battle" Gatefold but I really never got into it back then. I may give it another try. A frequently asked question that I have been pondering lately is whether I like or dislike gatefold covers. Still unsure about my stance on it but I guess tend to prefer the standard cover.
I didn't know Forward had a gatefold release, damn! I think in some instances they are cool depending on what they add to the layout , or how they expand the cover, like at war with satan or licensed to ill for example. Cheers man
Yes, it also came in a gatefold version. Always liked the cheesy cover art but the inside is a bit disappointing, as it shows no nude women riding dragons:) I guess its more the thickness of the cover that bothers me but the Discharge gatefolds are classics and I make an exception for those.
Haha, I'm not traveling anymore either. I'm near Detroit and Chicago so I'm not going much further than that for anything except some kind of special event. Great answers, cheers Dennis!
I mean if there is a show in the Bay Area , like a deathfest or something I can stay with family and friends and visit as well so it might be something I would do, but other than that it's a no go. Cheers man!
Nice one Dennis. Seth is French. Cool dragon pick, don't think I've heard that album, but it's been a while since I listen to the dogs. If Kreator had stopped with Extreme Aggression, their discography would be flawless in my opinion. I like several of the later Kreator albums, or parts of them, but they are often to long. And the last couple are just to melodic and boring.
I would say up to Coma for me and think Cause for Conflict is still pretty underrated especially when they put it out. Reminds me a lot of Sepultura though. Cheers Rog!
Hi Dennis!! cool to see your rsponse to this year very cool metal tag.... nice take on the most anticipated album/release from 2024. those two English Dogs artwork looks amazing, never heard them before sounds interesting too, sweet Maiden collection. Killer surprise to see Jean Michael Jarre.... You know what?, i think you might be right on Metallica's "Unjustice.....". Cool t-shirts. cheers and be well
Check out the English Dogs man and let me know, the first one is way more aggressive crossover , I think you would like the Where Legend as it seems more up your alley. Cheers Cris!
I have some similar interests, the Japanese stuff seems to be some of the only fresh sounding stuff these days. But I work a zillion hrs and travel a lot to, I'll go through discogs of anything like drive by truckers or Fugazi in between death metal and such
So it's not just me, haha but yea the Japanese stuff sounds fresh and has a genuine feel to it that makes it stand out . My music is also all over the place from prog rock to 90's or 80's bands to underground hip hop. So much great music out there !! Cheers
@@analogarchives Yeah man that's why I dig the Pharmacist stuff so much, they captured something in their sound. The progression from the first to second album almost reminds me of early Mastodon, where they can probably take their stuff as far as they want to. Will be interesting to see
Killer vid, I agree with what you said about Kreator and Destruction. It seems like they are just putting out material just to put out and as for songs that are too long my pick is Exodus, my all time favorite it's just their new songs are getting longer and longer to where I lose interest. Keep them vids coming,.. more thrash vids.
Glad you finally snagged that Jean Michel Jarre my dude. I make a point of listening to it every Halloween, as it was a go-to album my mom always put on to freak kids out. Bo Hansson's "Lord of the Rings" is another moog masterpiece you should check out too. While the weeds have grown quite wild on this formerly Dark Path...I hope you're doing well!
Cool dude, great to hear from you! Yea man dig that Jarre for sure , thanks for the recommendation! I've seen that Lord of The Rings before in the wild but never knew it was Moog, hopefully I can find it again. Cheers man
Sick Tag response! Of course chock full of obscurities and OGs. And on point on some of the old bloated classic bands. Got me looking up Macabre, English Dogs, Over the Top and Phantasm now. And that Venom tape trade! Wow thats currently going for $200 on discogs. Score man 🤘
Holy shit dude, $200 for that tape?? I knew it was pretty rare when we did the trade but just thought it was something I could add the Venom collection, haha. Cheers man as always!!
Come to Dennis' for all things old school presented in a laid back tone 🤟 I'm 45yo and I NEVER look forward hearing "new releases", BUT since your videos always motivate me to hear new old stuff, I'd love to hear your opinion on EXHORDER - I kinda slept on them but I think they released amazing, ripping stuff and I actually do look forward to hear their new album in 2024. You probably don't like them ...? 😅 Anyways, cheers my man 🍻
I actually really like Slaughter in the Vatican but The Law suffers from too much studio pressure to sound more like Pantera who were blowing up at the time ( the irony)!!The new stuff I can pass on as it has too much of a southern groove to it that I'm really into, but who knows the new one might slay! Cheer brother!
What's up man! Yea I know it's a boot, just love the how TAKT always had the alt. covers with color and logo variation that really speaks to me for some reason. Cheers!
English Dogs don't get enough credit. Glad to see them get some love on here. You are right about modern Kreator. They are super boring these days. Just call it a day!
Love English Dogs, even the early punk stuff and some tracks off the last record were rippers as well, such a underrated band that even people that like crossover don't really know about. Cheers man!
You should do a vid about some of your lesser known Japanese punk/ crust/ death shit. Im always looking for more Japanese stuff but there’s not a whole lot of info on this scene out there. Nice vid! \m/
I know dude, I have so much shit to show and talk about I can run this channel forever, hahah. I will def try to bring some Japanese H/C punk death stuff into some videos soon! Cheers
Ya the scene alive is the best response. Cheers Dennis
Exactly!! Cheers
Im bummed hearing that Matt from The Dark Path decided to quit doing his channel. He was one of my other top favorite record collection channels along with yours.
Yea man, he's a great dude with a great channel. Hopefully I will be doing a special episode with him soon! Cheers!

Cheers, Rodney! I hope you're doing well!
@@that-matt-guy yea dude we gotta do it!
Also Kens Death Metal Crypt - my favorite YT channel will end on august :(
Tomita rules! Cheers man!
I just snagged the Tomita Bolero a few weeks ago , it's killer! Cheers!
Sweet Metal Tag Dennis! Always a joy to see what bangers you bring to the party mate. Cheers bro!
Cool , thanks man ! Always a fun one to respond too. Cheers brother!
Nice tag mate.
With Ken locking up the crypt in August, you could be the new go to for these underground rare gems 🍺
Man hopefully try to do something with Ken before he calls it quits, maybe another 6hr stream, ha! Great dude and channel. Cheers man!
@@analogarchivesEnding posting new things is one thing, but deleting whole channel is just stupid IMO
I just bought a copy of that OTT LP - looking forward to checking it out!
Killer old skull thrash , knowing your taste you will def dig it. Cheers!
I just got that English dogs again on vinyl for the 3rd time. My old punk friends way back when, thought they sucked, anyway I always dug it.
Yea It was a battle with the punk guys at the time because they hated everything metal which I can't really blame them as we came into their scene and kinda took it over with all the crossover shit . Cheers!
Sweet tees!!
Thanks man! Love me some vintage tees!
After Coma of Souls I’ve not bothered with Kreator.Saw them many times in the U.K. in the late 80’s
Yea, I actually liked Coma but I rarely play it, seems like a band just going through the motions at this point . I think some bands should just tour at this point but I understand that they still need the support from a label, so I get it. Cheers!

Another banger!!! Thank you for the upload. Salute.
So damn good dude!
Only reason that comes into my mind why "And justice for all" has this "9 new songs" sticker, is that previous EP was cover-album...
Yea , makes sense , although a lot people thought those were Original Metallica songs back then, prob. still do hahaha
