Here’s the thing that needs to be said. Minato DID NOT have to sacrifice and die that night, he simply chose to do that his son could get a boost. Him having a newborn and a dying wife while dealing with all this is crucial to the outcome. He had otherwise been untouched as far as battle goes. It’s clear in the manga that he basically just decides he’ll die with kushina, and leave things to naruto

THIS! Minato hundred percent won that fight, both against Obito and Kurama. I think it was even mentioned that he could've sealed Kurama another way but he knew he needed to seal it in his son because of the threat of Madara. It's unfair to think Minato didn't comfortably beat Obito-Kurama tandem because he 100% did until he decided he has a different plan.

Appreciate the vid but the tobirama downplay is horrendous as usual. Tobirama could beat the ninetails in multiple ways:
1. Tandem paper bomb would blow ninetails away. It destroyed the gates that held the TENTAILS.
2. Tobirama could jet send the beast bombs back at the ninetails.
3. Tobirama could solve and find weaknesses in sage of six paths. I'm sure he could the same to one mangekyou sharingan.
4. Tobirama specializes in fighting the Uchiha clan.
5.Madara said EMS sasuke was better than obito in the past. Tobirama could beat EMS Sasuke
6. Tobirama can react to sage mode one rinnegan madada.

On Hashirama’s sensory abilities, he was on the verge of collapsing after the Madara fight and was still able to sense BLACK ZETSU (can’t remember if Hashirama was in Sage mode but still a wild feat), ya know the guy who’s whole schtick is being completely undetected by anyone and manipulating everything from the shadows.
For Tobirama, his tandem paper bombs were so strong that an UNSTABLE Juubito (who couldn’t even recognize his own name) was forced into blocking them with a TSO shield. The only problem is Kamui, as tandem paper bombs don’t last as long as a sea of over 1 BILLION paper bombs.

Just because Minato is faster doesn't mean Tobirama doesn't clear the speed threshold needed to beat Obito. He did the same speed feat with FTG against one eyed Madara, so actually I think he would beat Obito individually. The Nine tails would be harder though

I think the main problem here is that they don’t take into consideration that obito got stronger and faster as he got older not to mention he had a rinnegan which buffs him more so 14yr old obito wouldn’t be doing what war arc obito was
TobiRama was hailed as the fastest shinobi in contention with a living Hashirama and Madara, parallel to that of the yellow flash of the third shinobi war, who’d claimed that title for his own. It’s asinine, senile, and cope that they’d say that giving tobirama a W against this one trick Obito (probably weaker than Orochimaru and obviously ems sasuke who reevaluated his edgy emo angst with a simple chakra flex of the finger) would outright get blitz by baby obito with kamui. They’re saying that tobirama, who although was surpassed by minato in ability would just not adapt his fighting style as a ftg user, and he’d get sucked by kamui when he’s able to respond to ten tails jinchuriki obito and deflect his attack against himself while saving the others from said attack (surpressed by edo, and was also able to warp truth seeking orbs same as ksm minato), would not be able to escape kamui fast enough. His speed is relative and comparable enough to be a comparison to minato, it’s an impressive feat from minato being able to use teleportation more efficiently than tobirama, it’s worthy of praise. The downplay circle jerk and outright disrespect, and disregard for feats and implications is deplorable, and the fact that they’re saying that they can’t ‘make up feats’ to give tobirama where credit is due, all the while making up slander to discredit him and ignore them is almost mentally debilitating. While the 9 tails would probably end in tobirama sacrificing himself with a suicide paper bomb attack (or perhaps he could use shadow clone for paper bombs), tobirama vs obito would be no diff for tobirama, who after evading kamui with a time space jutsu of his own creation, would probably go into dialogue perfectly explaining obito’s ability and how troublesome it’s, and will take it as a high threat to the prosperity/future of the hidden lead village, and will take into account its potential weakness, either by using some kind of sensory jutsu to detect the exact moment obito manifests, or a barrage of attacks that’ll eventually connect when he inevitably does manifest himself. Having Invented so many prominent/busted jutsu, it wouldn’t be surprising if he had more tricks up his sleeve, although this would be an assumption, although not exactly a far fetched one. He would probably be able to implement this strategy with some form of technique/sequence of moves that he has in his arsenal, most likely in the form of water jutsu combined with bringer of darkness (obito would not be able to visually see tobirama’s strategy being utilized as he’d be blind), or in a more ironic and statistically favorable fashion, he would dispatch of obito in a similar fashion to minato, and would speed blitz him as soon as he manifests evading kamui with ftg technique, counter, and would deal a decisive strike, therefore eliminating the threat. Once tobirama tags obito, he would be able to teleport to him at will, which’d allow him to defend the leaf village from biju bombs/obito simultaneously. Tobirama would be able to transport biju bombs away from the village as people evacuate, and would be able to dodge/evade attacks with marked kunais, fending off some attacks, but inevitably would probably sacrifice his life with the seemingly endless stream of tandem paper bombs, which as mentioned in the video was able to dematerialize a deity gate.
He is one of the only characters who can hurt obito reliably if you ask me.

For real. He has more chakra than Minato, invented FTG and Edo Tensei, has better judgement in battle and spent his entire youth fighting the sharingan.
Tobirama invented the reanimating jutsu. Therefore I think that’s enough to say he is capable of using it. And in a nine tails invasion I believe he would use it. So I give Tobirama the original edo tensei that Orochimaru uses. If he has time to reanimate his brother, I think he does better than 1st and 3rd.
Problem is, he needs a corpse, time to complete the summoning ritual, which can be stopped and interrupted, and a DNA sample of whoever he is trying to summon. I doubt he carries any of those on him, and additionally, in character Tobirama would never, EVER, use Reanimation Jutsu on his older brother, regardless of the situation. Plus, even if he did, that version of Hashirama would be practically useless. When used by Orochimaru, the Hokages were so weak, that it'd be hard to claim Tobirama's reanimated Hashirama would be significantly above Yamato, at which point he wouldn't even be able to suppress the Nine Tails, since Yamato struggled heavily to seal even Four or Five tailed Naruto, and that's HALF of the actual Nine Tails. So... about a quarter of the full thing, MAYBE half if we're being VERY generous and giving Tobirama the benefit of the doubt, would be the reanimation's limit. Tobirama himself lacks the tools to fight it or Obito even individually, and he can't really protect anyone from either as well.

I do think his darkness technique allows Tobirama to set up flying rajin and use both techniques against Obito. I give Tobirama using reanimation, darkness technique, shadow clone, flying rajin and being at his peak a debatable battle against a young obito. Tobirama fought many powerful uchihas in war and has many techniques developed to fight them. So let’s say Tobirama wins 5/10 times. And this is just gettibg obito to retreat like minato. To defeat maybe 4/10. Obito is still young and Tobirama killed many uchihas.
Against the nine tails, let’s give him last resort mentality. Also let’s give the hokage his trait that he is one of the smartest and best battle tacticians in naruto. I believe he got to hokage through both immense power but cunning intelligence that developed the most influential powers in naruto (Minato being the other with rasengan, further progressing flying rajin, and Shiki fujin). Everything about him would go against it, but he did develop reanimation jutsu so he probably had that “nuke” button in all scenarios. He also saw madara and the nine tails do this before which is why he probably developed such skills in his techniques and battle tactics. I fully give Tobirama the mental ability to make plans for a similar nine tails invasion. And I think he knows his brother is the only non-uchiha (as far as he knows) that successfully battled the nine tails. So I theorize his development of the reanimation was to bring his brother back with his wood style to suppress a nine tails attack that would destroy the village.
Giving all that, I think he suppresses the nine tails only 1/10 times successful in this scenario like Minato. Minato developed the shiki fujin and that really stopped the nine tails. I agree that orochimaru perfected the reanimation jutsu and gave them closer to original power levels. But I think early naruto clouds just how powerful they were reanimated. Tobirama full strength and half of hashirama is quite a beast. I assume either hashirama reanimated first version or Tobirama would have a seal of some sort to use for a severely weakened Kurama gets made into a jinchuriki. Without Minato developing shiki fujin, this fails 1/10 times. If anyone can do that Tobirama and reanimated Hashirama can.
4/10 times they defeat obito, get kurama out of genjutsu, and push kurama out of the city. This scenario means even more of the village and people are killed. This is the main scenario. Far more casualties. Kurama is still a problem. And tobirama can use dying ninja (obito in a scenario where he wins) to reanimate. Tobirama would only use reanimation for an event like this. Getting both kurama and obito to retreat is their best case. He will not be as successful and hashirama, minato, naruto, prime/buffed kakashi. The goal is some of the hidden leaf survive and they defeat obito and kurama or get them to retreat.
Most scenarios, Tobirama causes problems for obito and kurama. He loses usually.
@@krukblood-axe3649 Tobirama being one of the most morally questionable ninjas in Konoha would probably both resort to using say a random goon locked up in the Leaf Police jail as a sacrifice, and summoning his older brother to protect the Leaf from basically assured destruction. Also Minato didn't just walk up as a one man army against the Nine-Tails and Obito (at least not entirely), there were still Leaf Ninja and Hiruzen attempting to help, so he would probably have enough time to use Edo Tensei. Also to say even weak Edo Hashirama is Yamato level is crazy, at the bare minimum that Edo Hashirama should be able to at least stall the Nine-Tails while Tobirama fights Obito. Not to mention Hashirama could still use Sage Mode to at least put him on a somewhat decent level and would also have his personality unchecked since he is obviously Tobirama's ally allowing him to be more effective mentally than a mindless Edo drone. This is also assuming Tobirama only summons Hashirama, he could also summon other ninja. Can't remember which, but either the reanimated Mizu/Tsuchikages or the Gold and Silver brothers questioned if they had been reanimated by Tobirama, so this sets the precedent that Tobirama is capable of and probably has used Edo Tensei in battle at least once. Gotta remember, Kabuto abused Edo Tensei to the extent of being able to start an entire Ninja war alongside Obito, so the unrefined version Tobirama has should at the bare minimum be able to fend off the Nine Tails attack if abused correctly.

Once Akamaru uses the dynamic marking on Obito there is no way he is sneaking up on Kiba and transporting him to the Kamui dimension. Kiba would be able to smell the piss even a whole dimension away. Plus i'm pretty sure Akamaru's piss goes through Kamui's intangibility so there's also that.

An interesting potential counter Kakashi might have for Kamui is the omnidireccional shinden he used during the graduation exams in Boruto. You can also get his speed scaling all the way up to Kashin Koji, so his reaction speed should be plenty fast enough to react to Kamui, especially considering the fact that he would have knowledge about Obito’s Kamui at this point. Kamui is broken, but I think Kakashi might be able to pull out a W 👀

Obito literally cannot kamui any FTG user. Because the FTG teleportation is faster than kamui's teleport speed. Besides that, kamui has a cooldown and max duration. FTG has none of that. It scales with your reaction speed and chakra reserves only. And as a senju, tobirama has nearly infinite chakra anyway.

@Remmyrouser Minato doesn't use the body flicker technique. That was shisui, lol. He also didn't "barely" outspeed obito. He could've done it again no problem. That was just FTG stage 2, which he is more than able to sustain. Minato low-diffed him. Had one exchange with obito, immediately figured out how kamui worked and beat him immediately after in the next exchange. Any high tier shinobi who figures out how kamui works, can beat teen obito.

I’m 100% sure that if you allow tandem paper bombs to tobi it could 100% put down kurama since it destroyed the deity gates. And if you allow him edo tensei zombies he himself wouldn’t have to be edo. people gloss over tandem paper bombs like it isn’t a top tier ap attack in shippuden. I think Tobirama has a fair chance against Obito. He can create shadow clones that can also use Raijin. If he can't make barriers for the Bijuu bomb, he could just send a clone to go touch it, or the Nine Tails, and take it away from the village, like the Truth Seeking orb. He is a sensory type and if nothing else could also basically use clones the same way the Rinnegan shares vision except with Raijin to counter his blind spots. And if one of his clones gets captured with Kamui, he could attack from both sides of Kamui. And unlike Kakashi, he would definitely go for a kill shot if given the opening. How he would deal with the Nine Tails is debatable. He may know some sealing jutsu. But if nothing else, he could just tag it and just teleport it away until he can find a way to handle it, because the mark never disappears.
Hiruzen could possibly deal with the Nine Tails. He was the Professor. He no doubt knows some seals or something that might pin him down or incapacitate him, and if all else fails, Reaper seal. He might catch on to Obito's abilities pretty quickly. He seems more of a ninjutsu specialist as he could counter Zetsu-riding-Yamato's wood statue's attacks, all by himself. And when he was fighting Orochimaru he started with Ninjutsu. So he could probably deduce Obito's powers fairly quickly. There really isn't a win condition but he could potentially use Enma to help counter. I mean, imagine if he tried to suck Enma in and he just kept growing and growing so he couldn't completely suck him in and Hiruzen punched him while he was solid.
Not to mention that the Tobirama that tagged unstable juubito was a clone which is stated by himself to be slower. So frustrating how so many ppl dont bring it up. So his speed should be way beyond that.

Minato was cleaver to devise a plan so quickly against Obito. Base Minato and Tobirama are comparable in tactics and jutsu. Minato is just faster. But Tobirama also has a lifetime of experience fighting Uchiha. Which is why he developed jutsu like Shadow Clones and Flying Raijin, because they directly counter the Sharingan.

As for Obito, I don't see why Flying Rajin Slice wouldn't work on him since it's an ability that was made to counter the Sharingan and he was able to kill a more skilled Mangekyou Sharingan user in Izuna. All it would take is for Tobirama to time the strike and figure out the mechanics of Kamui, which I am confident he'd be able to do.

Izanagi can do more then just undo the users death. Danzō could make it so that the whole attack was an illusion, Obito never extracted the Nine-Tails from Kushina, because Kushina was never in the cave, she gave birth to Naruto in the Konoha Hospital and her Jinchūriki seal was reinforced, the only thing Obito accomplished was to make Konoha aware of him, well maybe he could kill Danzō, but that would just be helping Konoha, lol.
Yeah, that's not how Izanagi works. It can be used to prevent injuries and death, and generally prevent anything that would hurt the user, and you can also program it to activate under certain conditions, like when Madara programmed it to activate after his body was entombed, or how Itachi programmed his Sharingan to use Amaterasu on Obito. One cannot, however, do... well, literally anything you mentioned. I'm not sure who told you that, or if it's something you thought of on your own, but it could not be any more wrong. Additionally, Izanagi cannot affect anything that happened prior to its' activation; you can't just pop it and not die. You have to make the decision to sacrifice your Sharingan in advance, when you know you're about to die, or be hit with a very powerful attack, or something. Doesn't really matter, the point is, the effect cannot be consciously controlled by the user as to the specifics, just preventing harm and other things that would be bad for the user, and it can't affect the past or the future, only the present. Your idea of what Izanagi is, is literally rewriting the past and present to whatever the user wishes it to be. Actual, literal omnipotence, at least while active. There has never been a jutsu that broken in the series, and hopefully, it'll stay that way.
izanagi can indeed be used to create illusions and alter reality, allowing for various possibilities and outcomes. danzō's mastery of izanagi could have potentially manipulated the events surrounding the Nine-Tails attack, making it appear as if certain events never occurred. however, the specifics of what can be achieved with izanagi depend on the user's skill and knowledge.
The only thing I’ll say about Tobirama is that he does stand a solid chance against Obito in this situation. I mean, he was somewhat relative against Juubito first off so he should have much issue scaling to a 14 year old version of the same guy. But the main reason I say he stands a chance is due to the fact that FTG is a hard counter to Kamui. You could obviously still argue whether Tobirama could land a hit on Obito before he gets warped away, but at the very least he could escape from the Kamui dimension and continue the fight. However, FTG is a teleportation ninjutsu that is stated to ignore the concepts of time and space, meaning that while it can’t really overwhelm or cancel out the Kamui, a FTG user who gets trapped in Kamui should be able to warp back to the battlefield and keep fighting Obito

I agree that Minato is faster than Tobirama but flying rajin is just a counter to Kamui. T can be slower than M and still be able to escape Kamui/hit Obito. If you teleport behind someone and try to hit him the sole fact of teleportation will make your attack super fast, your base stats are not that important and Tobirama's are not that bad either.

It's a no contest with Hashirama due to the fact that Obito will have Hashirama's cells. Hashirama in Sage Mode make it easy to detect his own chackra on Obito and possibly control Obito.
Jiraiya's battle IQ would've allowed him to be able to deal with the 9 tails. Remember what Naruto did with Gamabunta against the one tail, and Jiraiya's training with Naruto's tail forms. Like mentioned in the video, time would be the deciding factor for Jiraiya.

Tobirama absolutely has a counter to beat Obito and the Kyuubi, he just has to sacrifice one of his ninja to Edo Tensei his brother Hashirama. Now if he doesn't do that I could maybe see him take Obito but lose in the end to the Kyuubi, although I don't have full confidence in him beating Obito without summoning some powerful zombie to help him.
Something you have to keep in mind, is that Edo Tensei takes a while to use. It's not really something one just pops out whenever they please, you need a body, and to summon, during which it can be stopped. Lastly, you also need a DNA sample of whoever you're reanimating, and I doubt Tobirama just carries a supply of those on him.
@@krukblood-axe3649 Mr. Paranoia incarnate (Tobirama) apparently keeps magic paper bombs that explode into more paper bombs on him at all times, even though he can only use them with Edo Tensei, I wouldn't be surprised if he did keep the Dna of some Strong Shinobi on him at all times. Also, the only time we ever saw someone "stop" an Edo Tensei summon, the target in question was invalid due to having used the Reaper Death Seal. We have no clue if someone could just throw some shuriken at the summon to stop it for real. Even if he couldn't summon Hashirama, any Edo Tensei of even passable strength would stop Obito's ability to Kamui himself, as if he sucked it into his Kamui dimension, it would simply attempt to kill him every time he tried to phase through attacks, which is something he does on reflex.

I think Sasuke has a couple options that you didn't discuss. I don't think it helps him win and just buys a little time but chidori nagashi might help defend against Obito's Kamui because if he materializes he'd be getting shocked.

Idk if Hiruzen wins, but this was 10 years ago. Kurama wouldn't be a problem if he pushed him all the way outside of the village without even using other justus, and he can make clones to keep pushing Kurama way beyond the village. For the bijuu blast, he knows every justu, so he would have used Rasamon and King Emma, strong enough to fight Kurama. The biggest problem is Obito, but Hiruzen is a very analytical fighter. The first kamui would be a mud clone that can keep him in place, and Hiruzen knows so much about Justus that he can do something to take away Obito's ability to see and use his sense of smell from the Inuzuka clan.
I think people forget that obito was 14 years old here and hiruzen would have much more knowledge and a higher battle iq people really downplay hiruzen

Hashirama is the best matchup against Kurama.
But Tobirama is definitely the best matchup against Obito. His use of FTG is completely different from how Obito saw Minato utilize it and i genuinely believe once Tobirama’s seen how Obito’s ability works it’s over for him, in the same way Minato only saw it once and countered it immediately.
As much of a genius prodigy Minato was, Tobirama is clearly a peerless tactician and strategist. He makes geniuses like Kakashi, Jirayia, and even Minato look frankly pedestrian by comparison. He’s got undeniably the best battlefield IQ of any shinobi that we’ve ever witnessed. He can teleport instantly. Can revive the dead to fight indefinitely. And specifically developed the shadow clones to absorb new knowledge. You know that thing that took Naruto (the greatest shadow clone user ever) 5 years to figure out he could use them to train with.
The only thing we haven’t seen from him is high level sealing techniques and to be quite frank i don’t buy the idea that Tobirama never bothered to pick up any sealing jutsu’s just because his big bro had wood style. That’s not how Tobirama operated on an individual level. He was a researcher and a scientist who at one point led the world in jutsu development to the point that even Orochimaru has to admit that Tobirama was a bit of an inspiration for him to “learn all the jutsu’s” which just tells me that Tobirama much like the senju name implies was a master of all disciplines of the shinobi skillset.
Plus he’s the greatest Hokage the leaf ever had.

I don't like Jiraya at all, but I think Jiraya was really downplayed here.
Minato used Gamabunta to basically sit on the 9 tails and stop a tailed beast bomb. He also has his swamp sage jutsu. His sage rasengan is quoted to be strong enough to carve out a mountain easily, which I feel would do something.
Also, if he has Ma and Pa with him, he could use frog song on Obito or Kurama, which we never see there be a counter to. If Pain can't counter it with his rennegan, then Obito and Kurama won't either.
I also think it would be interesting to see how Jiraya handled Obito. I think he would definitely be smart enough to figure him out, especially since Obito was Minato's student and Jiraya was around when Hashirama was alive, since him and Tsunade are basically the same age and Tsunade was still alive before her grandfather died. Jiraya with so much experience could probably recognise that Obito isn't actually Madara, from what he's heard and researched about Madara. He would probably recognise that the 9 tails is under genjutsu too.
He probably doesn't beat Obito, because Minato is the only person to actually counter Kamui - along with Kakashi and also Danzo's aids during the 5KS - But they still ultimately lost. The fact we never get a proper way to counter Kamui is really dumb. Jiraya would probably die trying to find a way to counter it.
So I think Jiraya would have a decent chance at fighting the 9 tails and restraining it, using his toad summons and being in sage mode. But he would struggle to counter Kamui.
But I think Jiraya would do very well. Better than Tsunade tbh.
