IT always made sense that they removed the land, because it never made sense there was land there in the first place because of the Deeprun Tram. Halfway through the tram's journey, it very clearly goes deep underwater, and the land exactly halfway between Stormwind and Ironforge is this landmass.
Those "mountains" which could have been right above Stormwind, could have made an excellent lair for Onyxia. She could have flown there once her identity was revealed by the quest... I always found it strange to have put her in the Marsh...
I quit around 2012, when Pandaria came out. No bad blood, it was simply time for me to do something different in life. I miss it sometimes, and your videos are a glorious trip down memory lane. They fill my heart with all the love I had for this game and I thank you for doing what you do
Well, it makes sense for it to be solely ocean. When you take the deep run tram you go through ocean, but there actually is no ocean between Stormwind and Ironforge in classic,
When Blizzard announced WoW Classic, i was hoping they'd continue development of the old areas so we would get classic plus. Sadly they never did that.
There is Classic+ Check out Season of Discovery. They're adding more content past the original "end game," including the possibility of unfinished zones like the original MT. Hyjal.
Haha, no They just add content from other versions of game, these "runes" didn't bring new skills. Pala is as in lk, warrior the same, druid is similar They don't bring something new Hyjal is gonna be the same as it was in cata
Shouts out to old school runescape making new content all the time while blizzard doesn't. Blizzard has such a disconnect to players and misunderstanding of what they want. When all they have to do is read some reddit and youtube comments and they will see the majority wants classic to get new content. Not classic remade into a new game like SOD... But that's just my personal opinion. I'm sure people love SOD, Suck on discovery
I remember being able to get there through a pass in the mountains between Dun Morogh and Lock Modan. It lead up into the mountains between zones. Clearly not supposed to be there, but you could use it to get to any of the surrounding areas, though you did need a way to prevent damage when you jumped down in certain areas.
I have a very vague memory of it being player housing that got scrapped when it proved too difficult to implement. I could be remembering wrong but I have a distinct memory of it.
it's nice to see that these hidden zones and areas are IN WoW Classic and people are checking them out, had a lot of fun in the original trying to access them with guildies.
There's also a zone with clearly defined borders right south of the Ghostlands and north of the plague lands and I've never even been able to go there, not ever with cheats and by flying. I don't even know what's there.
I remember going there with my paladin and some kind of beer that gave you freefall, you could go to the secluded valley in the west of dun morogh and the up ironforge mountain from there.
Could have easily just put a portal to the location that Horde could go through some questline to open. There's a portal from Booty Bay to Gnomer, that works in Classic / Vanilla so there's no reason this couldn't have been done here, too.
U could Access the Zone back in the days. Of u ran up Mountains in Dun morogh east and Travel on them south. Then u had to use slow fall and u made it. It freaked 13 year old me out when I was listed in my guild without a zone and got the anxiety i will be banned for exploiting 😂😂😂
Blizzard sent surveys out basically asking if people wanted Cataclysm Classic. There's a lot of people like myself who never experienced Cata in its prime. I started in Cata but I was young and never really experienced the raids/dungeons etc.
now imagine if we can use AI to let it generate the terrain for those places, then maybe storyline, characters and lore, and of course WoW will then take like 1T in your hard drive
Did you just call the Stormwind ground hack "tricky"? You jump on one lantern and then onto the brick that leads you under the city. You can't fool me by making it sound more overcomplicated than it really is >:) For what it's worth, it's likely the massive area underneath Stormwind was for area meant for player housing. We know that the giant gated portal in the canals between the merchant district and old town was supposed to be a portal to a "player housing" neighborhood, it's very likely they were planning a massive amount of land to be cut out for a player housing instance zone before they realized just how ridiculous the space requirement would be, and with no additional instances like FF14 does.
Apologies if I sound a bit rough, was recovering from food poisoning lol
you sound just fine v :)
Oh you too?
Hope you feel better!
hope that gets dispelled soon
Man I remember during vanilla and bc days trying to figure out how to get to these unnamed zones thinking it was where rare loot drops
I thought there were secrets planted there.

yes fly right above the area where you were found out instead of to an entire different continent
@@fvcklunacy 4D Chess. They wouldnt think that she would be so close. Hiding in plain sight.
@@Shaco. nah, she'd lose
Lore wise, she took the ship from theramore to stormwind in her human form.. so make sense that her lair was in marsh

Its a holdover from when the tram was intended to go to Darnassus but they changed that for technical reasons.. but hey, it worked out i guess.

@@hasst9261I mean there are new quests with new lore

Blizzard don't know where those old areas are. They are so ancient. Need to learn lore
I thought this might been the location of the deepest part Deeprun tram. Straight line from from Stormwind to Ironforge (Check), deep water (check).
I was expecting an april fools joke gag. I'm both happily knowledged and also let down

its true. It is the locked off "portal" gates in stormwind and ogri

I like that video. It is a big step up in quality compared to some old videos. I learned some things I didn't know about the plans/development of cata

That map of the zone you showed is a map of twilight highlands
I'd really like to know where you are getting that information from like the concept maps for locations and so on.
1:40 The only shoulders, I transmogged back in Cata that look suitable on an Orc male.
This was really interesting, thanks. One of your best videos if I may say so.
what was the name of the zone music playing in the background?
This zone if you put WC1 map on top of it matches with where the ruins of old Stormwind would be.

Hey Mr Vaulty!
Alliance have advantage in development. Blizzard reaction: No.
Horde have advantage in development. Blizzard reaction: Yes.
This sounds like a job for Turtle WoW team
I'll be sure to forward their existence to Blizzard so they can be taken down.
Or Project Epoch
"Unfair advantage for alliance"
Looking at strat, scholo and naxx lol
Hol up, I don't particularly follow the WoW community much but is Cataclysm classic a thing that people want?

Yes.
the one right next to the undead spawn point

Good video besides flying on the Hearthsteed
It was the city of Stormwind.
Did you ask asmongolg if it was okay to post lol
interesting
More human areas would've been cool
