I love old archival footage
A great man, a pragmatic politician. Qualities lost in today’s pseudo-politicians.
“They stood with us in the black hours”, this very much sums the Egyptian mentality you stand with me I stand with you
I love this person 💗 💕 ❤️ 😊
May God have mercy on Sadat, he was a great leader and better than the ruler of Egypt. He was a reader, educated, and knowledgeable person. He preserved his country and his people, defeated them, and brought them to the brink of safety. رحم الله السادات كان قائدا عظيما وافضل من حكم مصر كان قارئا ومثقفا ومطلعا حافظ على بلاده وعلى شعبه وانتصر لهم ووصل بهم الى حافة الامان
This is an incredible interview. How few remain that are of this calibre.
President Anwar Al-Sadat, the Egyptian and Arab hero of War and peace
No 😂😂😂 no 😂😂😂
Peace was a wrong process. Sadat submitted to the Zionists, and the Palestinians became alone for decades after the marginalization and expansion of settlements. Palestine needed Egypt.
Wow gold ❤
Sadat was eloquent
Anwar EL Sadat was great president of EGYPT ..He was leader of war and peace..R.I.P SADAT
Im Jewish and i find this man oddly respectable.. hes a proud man of his nation and heritages. Hes an Egyptain (Arab coptic & Sudanese heritage) he is a Muslim but he was a wise man who wanted best for his peoples. -i can respect that .
This is off on so much levels, he is a Muslim Nubian. Neither Arab or Coptic. Also he was extremely corrupt he didn't care for his people
Isn’t this the man that said the Jews left black but came back white ?
Coptic sadat????? That's crazy what's your source ???
he's not Coptic at all 🤣
He was the best Egyptian President
A great man and a great politician!
🎉❤🎉❤❤
رئيس لن يتكرر
I attribute the dramatic decline in political discourse to the fact that statesmen and journalists have long ceased smoking pipes during television interviews. 💨
agree with u
Thanks from Egypt ❤I love USA 🇺🇸
Was this from January 17, 1971...or January 24, 1971?
The current president of Egypt, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, is comparable to Sadat in greatness, regardless of the mainstream media’s promotion of the Muslim Brotherhood’s views. El-Sisi faces challenges today that are hundreds of times more difficult than those faced in the past.” 🇪🇬🌟
Your words. It is true that President Sisi is under difficult pressure and challenges. Like what happened to President Sadat, may God have mercy on him
Are you joking? Sadat was the last and the 1st true black pharaoh in the last 2000 years
@12:17 Directed by Quentin Tarantino.
Sadat should not have signed the agreement. Israel reneged from Day 1.
Is Sinai still occupied by Israel? No? That's good!
Who is here to see what Egyptians really looked like?
looked like?? like this was thousand years ago!! that was only 50 years ago.
yes many egyptians look like sadat ,and no dear ,neither he nor the egyptians are black
Nah he’s just maybe 50/50 middle eastern and black you would have to go back 2000 years ago to really see what they look like or maybe take a trip to the Congo or west Africa to see today they’re descendants who didn’t mix with others
Sudan started mixing with pale Arabs so even that side of him was tainted
How relevant this is today with the Gen****oc**ide in Gaza. It is a reminder that Israel has been in violation of so many UN resolution, and always cries victim. Israel has, and always been the only aggressor and the only one that needs to make corrections.
Che. Bell. Presidente. Che. Era. Sadat
Our Egyptian messiah. He died for our sins
He was an agent for enemies of Egypt
How?
My land 😂😂
He looking kinda chocolate
It's intriguing how some label Sadat as a traitor, yet unlike the Palestinians, he grasped the harsh reality he faced. The notion of 'from the river to the sea' lacks practicality. Arabs sacrificing their children and those of their perceived enemies for land won't lead to progress. Consequently, in 2024, the situation remains chaotic. At what juncture does the Holy Land retain its sanctity amidst this ongoing bloodshed?
“Perceived enemy” brother in Christ do you see what the Israelis are doing in Gaza? Perceived?? Were you born yesterday?
It’s actually quite understandable why some Arabs would see Sadat as a traitor if you watch this interview. He stated that all Arab lands that were occupied after 1967 must be returned to their rightful Arab owners, calling it a matter of religion and honor etc. At the time of his assassination, only Sinai had been returned. Now I understand that many things in the region changed after 1971 but still he said all this and got Sinai back without any guarantee for a Palestinian state or anything else done for the other lands occupied after the 6 day war. If one was a Pan Arabist, I could definitely see why they’d feel betrayed by him.
@@TheBINIBALL it's never going to end, 100 Years from now I'm sure it will still be the same
@@amer9208 that land has been conquered and reconquered and fought over by numerous states and empires since time immemorial. That's beside the point. All I'm saying is, it's pretty understandable to see why some Arabs would see him as a traitor. Let's stay on topic here.
@@amer9208 Also wanna give you props for the Alex Ross pfp
from the nile to euphrates that is nonesense come onn the average israeli today does not want that at all lol
The right to return means more people coming and no space for the future as the people populate and other countries seem viable and hey "WE HAVE A RIGHT TO THIS PLACE BECAUSE ITS BEEN OURS".
Just some of them lol
LMMFAO! I wonder if Bassem Yousef would call him a West African!
No actually he is an East African
@@daphnesmith1686 I don't care is he is from South Africa. The point was he called her "West African" as if she couldn't possibility be Egyptian.
@@dnate697 Cool Down and Stay Calm! I Gotcha.
@@daphnesmith1686 It would have been more correct if YOU said Northeast African LOL, just like all Egyptians LMMFAO!
Actually president Sadat mother is Sudanese not Egyptian and his father was an Egyptian from the Nile delta. His half brother who died in 1973 war had green eyes and fair skin. The race is not an issue in Egypt like the US or Europe your race doesn’t mean anything in Egypt. You can say he was eastern African from his father side and his mother side. Btw everybody keep mentioning Nubians a large percentage of Nubians are Egyptian citizens the rest are Sundaneses.
