Thanks very much for videos Tony. You answered a question I had on Sim Inn forum. Thanks for that as well. The mouse focus issue with AM and XP running on same machine was a non-starter and a hastle because it stopped keyboard shortcuts from working without moving mouse to change focus back to XP from Touchscreen. You obviously know what I am talking about but I would like to let other people know this is a fantastic improvement in AM Desktop 3.7 BETA 32. No more misfires on keyboard shortcuts, mouse focus changing etc Woohoo. I am assuming most of you guys, Russ Barlow, Michael Brown, others, run AM on second machine with second copy of XP. Well, I have tried many different single machine configurations and I just can't get rid of jutters when I run anything AM on 4th monitor touchscreen, even just one panel with flaps only image. I run 3 Dell G-sync monitors 1440p QHD smoothly, smoothest it has ever been. The QHD res is beautiful. Much better than HD. When I introduce 4th monitor touchscreen, I get jutters. I have even tried Duet and a iPad pro as 4th monitor. Same jutters. I am positive it is 4th mon because I can toggle them on and off and jutter problem disappears. I use Dual liquid cooled Corsair One i160 i9 9900, and 2080ti. I use AFL 172sp for instruction. Do you have a complete AFL radio stack with, Audio Panel, etc? There are some generics that sort of work but I would like the complete functional stack. If not, I am planning on creating the complete stack including GNS 430 if it is possible. (having a problem with AFL 430 and AM BTW). And lastly, I am having a bit of an issue with Vukcan and AM, at least I did with AM 3.6. There is a small problem with AM not recognizing an Asus HD touchscreen size properly. Sees it at 2400 x 1350 for some reason. It does not seem to recognize changes in Windows Display Settings resolution sizes. Very bizarre behavior. Anyways it causes huge jerky jutters (not necessarily stutters) at 2400x1350 and this almost caused me to give up on AM on one machine. I will let Sim Inn know of the issue. I think it is a priority issue, Might scare someone away from AM if it causes jutters. I will post video if necessary. Perhaps they already know of issue. Great explanation Tony. I don’t know that you mention to untick the “click through” checkbox while ticking “locked” and “always on top” after having things properly positioned because there is a performance penalty when clicked through is enabled.
Russ Barlow You are right Russ. I tend to have it enabled on panels with transparency because at one time it was required to get transparency to function correctly. I’ll go through them and un-tick all those not requiring the click through.
Not quite. Xplane will remember the size and location of each of the different pop outs so that bit works ok. What is the problem is when you jump in a different aircraft and require the pop out to be in a different position. I’ve already asked Laminar Research for a per aircraft persistence feature or datarefs so we can control the size and position of every pop out from an Air Manager script. It would be useful for everyone who wants this feature to log a request with LR. The more people that want something the more likely it will happen.
Great Video - thanks for making this very clear. Just for clarity - you have to do this every time you fly - no-one in the community has come up with a way to automate this yet so you can easily switch between Air Manager panels and popups already popped out from X-Plane and in the right place?
Hi Tony, thanks for the great video! I’ve got one question, you mentioned that the panel machine should be the master if you are networking computers for Xplane, why would you make the less powerful machine the master?
This is a great video, however, I'm having a problem getting the white bar to stay when I hit the upper right icon. And , how do you get the transparency to work?
Never had an issue with the white bar so not sure on that. For more detail on transparency watch the MSFS pop video. The panel creation with transparent sections in that video applies equally to any sim.
I don't get the see through in Air Manager panel. I get a blue screen that says, "Streaming only available in x-plane 12.... Everything else requires the flightsim pop out... See our wiki for more information.... Click here to hide this message" Clicking there does not hide that message. I went through the settings following your screen. I cannot select "transparent" for background color- the "Layout" selection just below that is also grey'd out. How do I change this?
The panels are meant to be coming to the store soon. I was hoping for them to be released for 3.7 but alas that didn’t happen. Hopefully they will be out soon..
I’m afraid to say they are not going to be in the Sim Innovations store as they had a change of heart. If anyone really wants to see them there they need to convince Sim Innovations it’s worthwhile.

@@ExperimentalSimAvionics Thanks for the reply, much appreciated. What I need is basically just the bottom section of the PFD/MFD, the section or part containing the 12 soft key buttons, I do not need the L, R & TOP sections of the G1000 PFD/MFD bezel. I'm using a 15" touch screen for the MFD, and the particular MFD I need as overlay is only the bottom part with the 12 buttons. I'm having zero luck in building this bottom section for use in AM.
@@stephenalberts6873 That’s quite straightforward. Clone the existing bezel then use a graphics app to blank out all the un needed controls and you are done.
How about an explanation as to how you made the AirManager cutout transparent? You start from a default condition that is not the same as how AirManager panels are configured. Your video does not help explain how to make the popped out instrument appear behind the AirManager screen. When I start the AirManager Panel the inside of the Garmin 530 is solid black. There is no way to see anything placed behind this window. This seems like a pretty glaring oversight if this is intended to be a tutorial. Need to start from step 1, not step 7….
This video is not about graphics creation it’s about popping out a display from the. sim and interfacing with a pre prepared AM panel. As long as you know how to do that after watching the video it served it’s purpose. This particular video was done long ago before MSFS 2020 was a thing and since then I have done another one based around that sim. It covers the concepts of creating and using your own panel background with transparency and what each of the related AM settings do. Although I use MSFS in that video it equally applies to Xplane. ruclips.net/video/vkcjiBTdtQM/видео.html

I'm using the already available G1000 PFD in Air Manager's panel for the PFD on a separate monitor, but would like to create or make the MFD for the TBM 900 for use in Air Manager for it's own monitor. Your guidance and advice in doing would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.
You can pop out the MFD in the same way. The G1000 bezel is just setup to direct its commands for MFD rather than PFD1.
Gonna go try this now
How about an explanation as to how you made the AirManager cutout transparent?
