If you cant 3d print, the Skull N' Co dpad cover has a pivot as well and is an upgrade over the basstop shell dpad which is rigid and only works well in cardinals.
The rocker under the d-pad is what concerns me. Seems short and likely multiple directions could be pressed at once. And does it leave marks on the Joy-Con during prolonged use? Very unique take on solving the problem.
what filament did you use? i imagine PLA scratching the system, but i havent 3d printed yet, its coming coming in a few days... but i feel like it should be printed using TPU to prevent scratching. do i have that right? or is PLA not a scratchy as i believe it to be.
This works pretty well actually. I printed it yesterday and I had no issues with scratches on my system or accidental presses. i printed it with pla at .01 with supports, 22% infil. My only issue is that the clip slides down while playing, occasionally.
Just FYI, the .obj files do not load in the latest version of Cura. Using Windows 10's Paint 3D, I can open them and save them to another format, but the size details are lost. Do you or does anyone have the dimensions of each part in metric?
Probably the most unique and workable solution I've seen so far. I'm going to 3D print this for sure.

which way do i print it!? it always ends up wrong somehow!
can you make a version with magnets so it works with xbox elite controller dpad?
Printing the Cover kind of scares me, given that the 3D Printer I use is one of the cheaper ones.
