Hey everyone - I have a bit of a backlog of footage from the Summer, because there was a phase where we were just too busy to try and edit videos whilst doing boatwork at the same time. What are your thoughts on me releasing 1 episode every couple of days for the next week or so? It will help to catch us up so the videos are more 'live', mearning more content for you guys! 😁 More editing for me though 🙃 Let me know thoughts!
She is so obviously unreasonably anxious just because you lost the prop-shaft, almost lost the engine and hit a rock. Its not like your out on a boat in the middle of the ocean. lol I love your videos.
Electric sail boats will become the norm soon. However they will be hybrid, electric engine but large generator that can run the electric motor. This will keep the range or even increase it.
Definitely both extra videos on dog life and a deep dive into your electrical! We are in Cleveland, OH and will be exploring the great lakes starting this spring. We are taking our dog Tobias with us so we're trying to figure out best options for him. I also want to redo our electrical system on the boat, currently just has a mostly dead lead acid that I will need to replace. Trying to get all of our plans set while we're still covered in snow!
Hey - thanks for reaching out! Appreciate the vote for electrics, Flick doesn't find it very interesting, but I do! Oooooh I've read about the Great Lakes, would love to go explore one day.
Aaaah Peter that is very helpful, I’d love to have a proper nosy around another 402 and see how other people have done things. Figure out what’s original and what are repairs made along the way.
For long term living onboard on a reasonable budget stay out of marinas! We are full time live aboard for 8 years and only wintered once in a marina for 3 months in Israel as no anchorages. We live on the hook all year round
We were in Greece before, and at the time of Brexshit. So, under the withdrawal agreement, we were able to easily get Greek residency. We are in Turkey at the moment for 9 months, and it's easy to get 12 months residency here without a marina contract. Greece it is still possible to get residency and long stay visas, as it is in France and Spain but a fair bit more paperwork
I can only imagine that if walter could talk he would tell he'd rather have three heart weeks at sea then for you two to go home and go back to work and leave him at home alone for eight to ten hours a day

That pet peev question was a loaded gun. Everyone has those so it’s not a big deal.

Hey guys! I've been following from the beginning as we have a 402 too! Our fuel tank is 150L, hope that helps :)

How are you managing the Schengen visa around the Med out of interest? Are you just avoiding stamping in? Or going to non Schengen countries?

@@JayPerrypersonal thats great info thanks, I'd love to potentially be able to Winter at anchor around Turkey/ Greece.
You can sail to a destination or you can sail to a schedule but you can’t do both
Very wise words, love it 😊

Hmmmm that’s a very good point 👍🏼
Wish he could talk!
Not sure I've ever heard you swear before flick? Are you sure it's just a peeve?
