***** I know. Japanese car interiors should get a little better. cars in same class from germany like BMW vs Lexus, Bimmer gives us a lot better interior.
Best overview of WRX STI on RUclips. Really comprehensive and not full of personal opinion or pointless comparisons with other fast cars that are designed for a completely different audience. This is one car that really divides opinion so it's nice to be able to just see it and make up our own minds.
Kyle , i love the before and after shots you did where you show a shot of the previous gen and then transition back to the 15 to show the differences of both vehicles. Excellent work my man.
For everyone complaining about the interior (radio specifically), some of this same car has a touch screen bluetooth system with an inbuilt radio which makes it look more modern
I love this video because 1. It was uploaded on my 21st birthday 2. Kyle is not recording it at any inappropriate dealerships with country restrictions 3. Nothing else.
Look at those idiots.... "the radio looks horrible". You do know that you can change that....right? It's the LAST thing i look for when i buy a car because i always use aftermarket ones, they're much better. And if i would buy an Impreza STI, i wouldn't even care if it didn't have a radio at all.
I was surprised as heck when I saw kyle get in the back seat he actually has room and it's not like he's short, this makes me want this car even more now.
(Mitsubishi's executives boardroom one day) Hey! I have an idea for a marketing move! What is it this time Watkins? You know how we've been in a legendary rivalry with Subaru's STi for 23 years? Well yeah who doesn't? How about get this...we discontinue the Evo give Subaru the victory and focus on making boring SUVs!?!? (Dumbfounded) My god Watkins....that's....brilliant!!!! Here's to our new success a celebration is in order!
help consumers make informed decisions when comparing vehicles for purchase.. maybe what you can do is put this all in an application on a phone.. so when your looking to purchase or compare various vehicles makes in your collection consumers would be able to get a summerized version of what to expect. great Job. I've seen many people do this Kyle. You're still my favorite.
Alright, I have to admit... the 2015 STI sedan looks leaps and bounds better than the previous generation. It has a more cohesive design from front to rear, a more aggressive and meaner front fascia, with a much sleeker roof line and a more muscular and taut body. Even the spoiler looks very much like it is suited to the car, where it really stuck out on the last gen. It is by no means subtle, but it just looks a little better integrated than before. The interior has also improved greatly (particularly the steering wheel and the center console), but let's not kid ourselves - it's not a luxury vehicle by any stretch of the imagination (but who cares). I'm still waiting for the hatchback and for the EJ257 to be dumped into the nearest ditch in favor of a FA 2.5L direct injection turbo engine. Subaru has already stated that they are moving to a single platform and will use all new engine tech (direct injection) for their cars by 2017 - this strongly suggests that the STI will receive a major upgrade in a couple of years, and when it does, I will most likely upgrade to that.
Nice review kyle, I really like that they took the 6 speed and put it in both the wrx and the sti this time around, I still enjoy my 06 hawkeye style more, but these are really starting to grow on me especially in SWP
Yeah, can't say anything about it, the look is definitely amazing and such a lot of new cool features! love it in white, But personally I prefer the old good 2005 Impreza WRX/STI that was with the 1st gen a true Impreza.
Cool @saabkyle04 love these new cars you are reviewing, you have my dream job! What video editor/ program do you use? What cars do you plan on doing next? Wouldn't mind a new Golf R. Thanks for another great review.
If I had to choose between the wrx or wrx sti, I'd choose the STI for the manual and WRX for the cvt. I know it seems weird but the manual in the STI feels better to me than the WRX. Plus, I don't mind CVTs. Subaru builts one of the best CVTs on the market.
Tony Edwards The STI was a car high on my list for my next potential vehicle. I drive 50+ miles daily 6 days a week. My current car is a 5 Speed manual, while its fun its not practical. Stop and go traffic kills me. Now, i'm limited too a Golf R which isn't a bad thing, love and own a VW. AWD is now a must. Anyways, I would chose the STi in a heartbeat if it had an Automatic option and I know i'm not the only one.
The 2015 WRX and newer (VA chassis) uses EPAS, while the 2015 and newer (VA chassis) WRX STI uses the hydraulically-assisted quick-ratio steering that you speak of at 2:47.
Thanks for another JDM review! Ive to say that I think that the JDM spirit has been lost in the last subarus. 1999 STIs has something this is missing. Anyway, very nice car.
***** I find it kinda crazy that last night I was looking for a good review of this car so I checked your page first, because you do awesome reviews, and you didn't have one... and today you do! Are you in my head? Seriously though, Great stuff! Keep it up man!
Thanks for the great video Kyle, I own a 2013 Subaru Legacy 3.6R Limited, I call it my WRX town car! and I love my Subaru, sure wish I could get my hands on Hellcat Charger!!!
thanks so much man! you really helped me choose between a wax and a sit. Sit all the way I'm 14 now next year i will be driving and i am definitely getting a 2015 wax STI!
2016 subaru WRX and STI have been updated with the infotainment to the starlink and new rims as well as i belive the eyesight being optional with blind spot monorting
The radio isn't THAT bad, it's just 'old' looking, like radios from the 90's. Kyle you said that the Lancer Evo is outdated? How so? I always thought this and the Evo where exactly in the same class and competitive with one another. In fact, as I watched the beginning of this I was trying to think of which body style I liked better between this and the Evo.
Thanks Kyle for this video, i'm glad to see that Subaru Wrx, Sorry for my bad english, come from Romania... Also i'm a huge fan for Mercedes-Benz, also Thanks for video with that cars... Have a nice Day!
@ 3:41 all that awesomeness and still a horn like my '95 Accord. Had that car for 18 years and usually never bothered to honk at the idiots because it demasculinized me with every encounter. Meet, Meet!
Nice review as always. But, I do have a question. I'm NOT saying this bothers me, it doesn't, but I am just curious. How come in your newer videos, you record your voice after the video was made?
I've been waiting for this since the new one came out. Great review Kyle! On SI drive, that's exactly how I explain it to those who don't know. S# is also known as bat out of hell mode LOL. Did you ever do a sedan STI review of the last generation? Your comparisons made it look like you did
***** Thanks man! I haven't done one in my current style, but I know I filmed a 2011 WRX a while back, not really a review though. They just had one on the lot so it was easy to compare :)
Ah gotcha. You should definitely do one and compare it to the Blobeye/Hawkeye Generation. Also, Subaru has made some leaps and bounds in there other cars, like the Forester, Legacy, XV Crosstrek...etc. I've seen plenty of reviews on them, but it would be awesome to see your take on them!
Thats a nice car! You are very good at filming cars! Big fan of you kyle! But i have a request: Can you film a detail startup of a koenigsegg regera which is from sweden? AKA my idea. Big fan of your vids!!!👍
Could you please do a 2002-5 ram 1500? I'm looking at One as my first car/truck and all the videos on them either feature heavily modded ones or it's a dealer ad that lasts about 50 seconds, that and the fact that your videos are very thorough and informative
Hey *****, I had heard that the WRX dropped the hydraulic steering setup for EPS but that the STI retained the hydraulic setup. Have I heard wrong as you said in the video both have hydraulic steering? :/
I love how they kept the interior simply with no fancy gadgets.
Beast of a car. Love the STI...Sweet review man!
Such a nice car. Anyone agrees?
Showta Ito I don't agree with you
***** think about the price bro
Kingmoe _0.o i think the problem is that they stopped making hatchback
I agree I bet my dad will get this car because they are super fast! And they are also a rally car!
***** I know. Japanese car interiors should get a little better. cars in same class from germany like BMW vs Lexus, Bimmer gives us a lot better interior.

Had my STI for over a year now. Best car I have ever own so far for it makes everyday to work just that much more fun. Also brilliant review mate
Kyle , i love the before and after shots you did where you show a shot of the previous gen and then transition back to the 15 to show the differences of both vehicles. Excellent work my man.
I don't care what bad stuff people say about the Subaru WRX. It's my FAV new Japanese car.
For everyone complaining about the interior (radio specifically), some of this same car has a touch screen bluetooth system with an inbuilt radio which makes it look more modern
An advertisement for the 2015 Subaru Impreza was showed before the video, what a coincidence!
I love this video because 1. It was uploaded on my 21st birthday 2. Kyle is not recording it at any inappropriate dealerships with country restrictions 3. Nothing else.

+Piers Gleming lol funny guy
I do understand , cause if I bought an Sti why tf would I care about the radio but you have to understand the car cost 40 grand
The engine sound is the best music that all you need!! Fxxk the radio!
The best Subaru sti review on RUclips
the 2016 model comes with a touch screen display and a refined interior looks amazing
Ive seen like 5 on the streets and man I cant take the beauty.Videos dont do justice. I LOVE this car
What happened to the red STI logo on the radiator?
I was surprised as heck when I saw kyle get in the back seat he actually has room and it's not like he's short, this makes me want this car even more now.

🤣🤣
yea i miss evo too
It’s crazy how Mitsubishi bowed out right when Ford was about to introduce the rs. Coincidence? “I think not!”
Exceptionally well narrated. What a pleasant change from the typical reviewer that speaks as though they lick windows when not behind the camera.
just purchased my 2015 STI, having it shipped across the country. Cant wait to get it!
I'd say the wrx sti looked more sporty and agressive in earlier years. Still very nice car. Good work, Kyle!
Sti's awesome once again and it never been as good as this new generation.
Epic performance car.

One of my Neighbors Have the previous generation of The WRX. When you power up the WRX makes very nice optional sounds and the bottom dials.
freaking love this car one day I'll be able to afford this beauty
Can you afford it now?
Can you afford it now?
I'm loving every minute I get with mine
First good looking Subaru in ages!!!
2005 called. They want their head unit back... Still a cool car regardless.
A great budget car to buy. Thanks mate for the review !!
Mitsubishi lancer Evo: *Exists*
Subaru Impreza Wrx Sti: *Im About To End This Whole Mans Career*

I 100% believe Subaru would sell so many more of these if they had a DCT option. I'm all for driving stick, but the option would be nice.

EVO MR it is..
Best 4 cylinder car ever.
Right now this is my favorite car. I have always loved Subaru cars.

Awesome. Subaru is simplicity that lasts.
Good job as usual, Do you need an LLC to post vids now?
Also radio has been changed.
wow thanks do much for this review, this was so helpful, by far the best review I ever saw! I'm getting the same one in 2 weeks! thank you!

Oh god the radio looks horrible
Guuggel Yeah some of the tech is a bit dated for 2015
***** this video is awesome
Andrew Schuyler Thank you!
***** how are you
***** I'm going to six flags new england at the end of this summer
Nice video man! Keep up the good work!
Subaru has my favourite chime in all their cars
Thank god I've been wanting you to post this for months Lol
This car is a beast
That car been selling like hot cakes. And it's reliable.
Great review. Been waiting on this car for a couple of months now
Nice car. The sound good of the engine really surprised me. I didn't think it would be that deep
The exhaust sound is really cool!

I test drove a new 2016 one today.... really good experience and it wasn't even the STI
I’m a simple man I see a WRX I hit like
Oh my god sti wings are huge!
you make excellent videos man.
Oh my God an actual key in 2014 thats rare
Legend in action !
Thanks Kyle for this video, i'm glad to see that Subaru Wrx, Sorry for my bad english, come from Romania... Also i'm a huge fan for Mercedes-Benz, also Thanks for video with that cars... Have a nice Day!
The American speedometer is so much more manageable than the one we have in Canada, for us the numbers are all bunched up and tiny.
Nav's Showroom Did you get glasses?
@ 3:41 all that awesomeness and still a horn like my '95 Accord. Had that car for 18 years and usually never bothered to honk at the idiots because it demasculinized me with every encounter. Meet, Meet!
Kyle. you should consider your own television show.

Interior chiming sounds horrendous.
***** I kinda like it actually.
And I thought fords dingers were bad
***** It could be worse. I find the chime in the newer Toyotas to be the most annoying.
+Hermit527 How about GM's chime? That sound gives me a migraine.
+Sambo0909 nah. the old WRX's beep was worse!
Nice video!! Are you going to make a video of the 2015 VW GOLF R?
Will you be doing a review of the 2016 mazda miata when it is obtainable?
that boost Guage needs to be more fluid and not so jumpy.... update the engine and interior for the 2020 and I'll buy one!
I have one of these, and I took a 25mph off ramp at 60mph without losing traction
Omg!!! Love at first sight nbs I'm saving up for this car starting now remember
I hated on the fact that this car had the same ej motor as all the sti's but now I might get one
can you do an in-depth tour of the 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX STI "Hawkeye"?
I got the " launch edition " 2015 sti . I'm not sure if you listed that one. Nice review!
Thats a nice car! You are very good at filming cars! Big fan of you kyle! But i have a request: Can you film a detail startup of a koenigsegg regera which is from sweden? AKA my idea. Big fan of your vids!!!👍
First Car😍😍
Great review like always kyle!
Have you ever thought about doing motorcycle reviews also
the hills (well in this case the parking lot i guess) are alive with the sound of a straight 4
i have 2020 WRX premium in white. w/ performance package. Its hard to keep the rims clean due to the Brembo brakes.
Nice video! Well done!
I certainly hope that chime is configurable... makes it sound ugh

Just saw one of these the other day. Nice cars. Too bad i cant drive a manual. Thanks fr the review Kyle!
My all-time favorite car
Another great review, Thanks!
Finally !!!!!!! Thanks Kyle
You know what's punishing? 2001 mickeymouse, with aftermarket lowered suspension and with 18'' STI wheels driving in Eastern Europe. Hard as hell..
It's my favourite car😍Thanks Kyle!
Great Video and I love the STI!!!
Hi, Saab, can we expect Audi S/RS6 wagon test drive in near future?
Are you going to review the older sti that was shown throughout the video?
i love the wrx sti looks
My dream car, I love it, 10/10.
Hey *****, I had heard that the WRX dropped the hydraulic steering setup for EPS but that the STI retained the hydraulic setup. Have I heard wrong as you said in the video both have hydraulic steering? :/

God damn I love the new styling in white........ That and sky blue
