  • There are hundreds of "how to do a 180 on a bike" videos online and while the tips in those videos are extremely useful I could never land a 180 (until recently)! The secret that helped me unlock 180s was simple yet I had never heard about it in a "how to 180" video before so that's why I made this video! The best thing is this tip will work on any bike (bmx, dirt jumper, mountain bike, etc.) and can be used along with any tips you have found useful from other tutorial videos.
The key was commitment and more specifically committing to the proper speed. Speed added danger but also allowed me to commit and actually do the trick which I believe isn't possible at speeds that are too slow to allow the fakie (riding backwards) to happen. Dialing in my speed and committing is the #1 factor in helping me to finally land a 180.

Dude. Really appreciate you showing the fails! I’m going to spend this weekend just trying to get this 180 down.

For sure man! The fails are important! I wasn't expecting to eat it as hard as I did! 😂But I'm kinda glad I did because it showed me that even a fall like that really isn't so bad! It's all part of the process! Best of luck with your 180s dude! 🤙

I’m definitely going to have to try this thanks for the info. Committing is the hardest part in mountain biking for me. But I see how this should help. Also looks like your putting the new dj to good use

No doubt! That would be especially helpful for someone who is struggling to get enough air for the full 180. Another great tip. 👍
